Mechatalk Final Gear: Evelynn - White Crow

 5th Final Gear Mechatalk is here and it is finally the turn for the Main Heroine her self, Evelynn! For the postergirl of the game, Evelyn had rather peculiar treatment by Flashwing. On one side she had plenty of Cosmetic Skins for her and White Crow topped with being the frequent Event Bonus multiplier unit. But on the other hand Evelynn's White Crow remains one of the subpar unit out there despite having UR Options. So without further ado, let's dive more into this Main Heroine of the Final Gear mecha gacha game.

 Evelynn or Eve is an AI unit of Blackark Faction who had accompanied the Player, the current Blackark's Captain. She is a high performing AI unit capable of doing her tasks in highly efficient manner and Mech combat. However at some point Evelynn developed a quirk of laziness akin to a NEET resembling Mk99 Android from Guardian Tales. Despite being an AI, in her storyline Evelynn eventually obtained a physical body for her own which allows her to do more things like joining adventures with Rebeyrca and Veronica.

Gameplay wise, Evelynn is a SR Rarity Light Striker unit, piloting unit called White Crow wielding pair of Lumen Arm Blades mowing down the foes with lightning quick strike. Eve makes a good starter unit due to the ease of obtaining her Unique Mech but her usefulness will eventually fade out when you get better units and she definitely make a poor choice for Heroics boss fight member due to her outdated kit.

 Founded by Zero, Blackark is a mercenary faction once funded by Arita Faction who took part in 2nd Imperial Wars but shortly disbanded after the wars conclusion. Being the main protagonist faction, Blacark used Felix Landship as HQ traveling from places to places to serve the bidding of the benefactor and it is up to player's Captain take command and lead Blackark to victories after another. Blackark Core team is rather small with Eve, Veronica and Rebeyrca serving as the ace pilot. While Informant Kristina and Former Knight Margaret do make some guest appearance and lend assistance from time to time. However due to the frequent travel nature of Blackark faction, many Ace pilots from other major nations will join for some good fight too.

In terms of relationship, Evelynn is one of the closest individual to Captain and had good relationship with fellow Blackark Pilots, Rebeyrca & Veronica. However she probably had a closest bond with a girl named Coral who is likely a digitized remain of a girl from the previous human civilization that Eve encountered in her storyline. Coral eventually made it as well to the real world manifesting as Hologram through Evelynn's bracelet. But from what i pieced in the game's asset, I suspect Coral will obtain her own physical body as well and have some encounter with Paranoia's Haela. Heck if Final Gear is not in its present state, quite sure Coral will have a White Unique mech to complement Evelynn's White Crow.

 As a Light Striker unit, Evelynn's performance is unfortunately rather pathetic compared to top strikers like UR Taysia reaching at 2 Million DPS despite having SSR upgrade. While she works just fine for regular PVE contents, Eve sadly will not carry her own weight for Conflict Zone and PVP contents. White Crow supposed to specialize in Fast Attacks with high crits however due to her outdated kit, the DPS is just not good enough.

 Being the Main Heroine, Evelynn obviously have her own UR Upgrade and in fact one of the earliest to obtain one. Eve's UR Skill supposed to provide DPS Spike when her unit HP reach below the threshold but given the current PVP scene, She will get wrecked before she gets to use her UR ability. If Final Gear is not in maintenance mode, we would have seen her kit revised like Taysia.

Considering her postergirl status, Evelynn got generous amount of cosmetic treatment by the Devs and I suspect Eve is one of the Top contender for having the most skin in-game, In fact she had 2 Skins that grant palette swap for White Crow too, one from her Christmas Skin and the other one is from the Sakura Taisen collab. I wonder if there are any Global server player who even bother to collect all of Eve's skin.

Since I am not sure for how long I can continue writing Mechatalk Article for Final Gear, I might just include some snippets for Evelynn's alternate variants; Evelynn Pathogen and Eve&Coral with Corrupted Heart and White Crow Mk2. I think Eve Pathogen is quite useful for Debuff role if you bothered to raise her into UR, but I can't say the same with Eve&Coral as their unique mech is even weaker than regular Evelynn unit.

 While I have no particular attachment toward Evelynn, I am still glad to accomplish my obligation to make a Mechatalk Article for the postergirl of Final Gear. On a sidenote Eve's Seiyuu Yuka Iguchi did a good job for Final Gear, her versatile voice range is very impressive if you encounter her work in other gacha games like Arknights Saria or FGO Voyager. While Final Gear's fate is very uncertain at this point, I do hope the game survive long enough for me to make Mechatalk articles for my favorite pilots. For the next Final Gear Mechatalk, I will be featuring Coreleah, my first UR Upgrade unit.
