Gundam G-Frame candy toys seems to be doing still decently in Japan with another new entry for their P-Bandai candy toys lineup. Debuting in the recent SD Gundam G Generation Eternal, Strike Gundam Dragoon pack makes it as Gundam G-Frame FA! Scheduled for March 2026 release, Dragoon Pack Strike Gundam will be sold for 4950 Yen.
I still did play G Generation Eternal when Strike Gundam Dragoon made its debut during SEED event and from what I remembered, this is a particular version of Strike Gundam that Kira used after Freedom Gundam was heavily damaged during the battle with Providence Gundam and around the time Athrun Zala started to use Alex Dino alterego. Strike Gundam Dragoon served as the welfare SSR unit in this event which was quite elaborate from Bandai side.
I was rather surprised that alternate variant of Strike Gundam like Dragoon Strike got such attention by Bandai despite there were several Strike Gundam MSV variants before like Lightning Strike that didn’t even get the same kind of treatment. Overall Strike Dragoon feels like an anomaly by Bandai but perhaps G Generation Eternal future success may even allow this sort of phenomenon to occur again.
