Trapped in a Dating Sim - Mobuseka

 

 Another Isekai series with ridiculously long name that i encountered recently but this one is above average and got mecha too! Trapped in a Dating Sim - The World of Otome Games is tough for mobs or Mobuseka in short is a Isekai series that had the Protagonist sent into a Fantasy World series based on a Dating Sims game. While the title might imply that the series catered to female audience, Mobuseka definitely still aimed at the general audience of Isekai Genre.

 The premise of the Mobuseka is the protagonist find himself reincarnated in a Fantasy World based on a Otome game that he is forced to finish by her younger sister. Armed with the knowledge of the world from the game, The main protagonist tried to get a tranquil comfortable life in a world that favors Matriarchy but ends up making a name for himself. Inadvertently, the Protagonist encounters the main characters from the game including the Heroine, her rival and the Five Princes who are the love interests. His interaction with these characters makes up the bulk of the storyline for Mobuseka and soon he finds out the story diverge much from the original game with the appearance of a mysterious girl who attracts the Five Princes.

I initially encountered Mobuseka from the short clip of the anime where the main protagonist give a good beating to the Five Princes with his mecha and long story short give the manga a read. In terms of setting, Mobuseka is probably the closest thing to Shiro no Oukoku Monogatari and appears to have better potential compared to the latter. The main character is basically less lecherous version of Kazuma from Konosuba who relies mostly on his wits to come out of top from most situations despite possessing Cheat Item. So far the manga covered up to the 3rd or 4th volume of the light novel with the main protagonist had the game main heroine and her rival become his love interest, but i think the Queen will be the best waifu candidate. I think Mobuseka did quite well on story department for now as it has decent world building but time will tell if it will be something more than a generic Isekai series or failed like Shiro no Oukoku monogatari. If i have time, i will probably give the light novel a read.
