Mechatalk Final Gear: Eloise - Victoria

 As a part of celebrating Realm of Darkness 1 millionth milestone, I will be reviving Mechatalk series after 7 years of inactivity and this time is specifically for Mecha Gacha Game Final Gear. This game remains my favorite that I currently play despite recently the game got its abrupt Death Knell as the Devs announced this game's final update and transition toward maintenance mode. Through this turn of unfortunate event, I believe that I must return something for Final Gear before the eventual server closure and thus I will contribute some blog post for this game. While it probably won't change the ultimate fate of Final Gear, at very least the google search for this series won't be completely saturated by Garbage.

 

For the first Final Gear Mechatalk Post, I will devote it to Eloise who is my first SSR in this game, one of Kegha's Army General who filled Defender Class role in this game piloting mech named Victoria which looks like a Gallant Knight befitting of its Pilot. She is the standard Lawful Good character used to grow up as a Slave along with her childhood friend Krista which the tattoo on her face served as the reminder of her status. Despite her low birth circumstances, Eloise struggled her lot and slowly rise up through Keghan Society eventually becoming an esteemed general who try do alot of good with her position.

 Before continuing onto Eloise, I think I should briefly discuss about the Background of Final Gear settings to make thing more sensible. In Final Gear there are Three major nations that served as the main factions in the game; Kegha, Arita and Hexel. Kegha Empire the nation that Eloise belong to is the typical Medieval Fantasy nation for a mecha setting in which the nation are feudalistic in nature which mean Nobility Elites possess a significant power. Kegha Empire is lead by Queen Lilian who possess the required quality for a monarch and Eloise served directly under her. Despite possessing many competent subordinates, Queen Lilian still faced the serious issue of corrupt nobilities that cause some of the Pilot characters in Final Gear defect to other Nations such as Favia, Coreleah and Margaret which possible be covered in near future.

 In the relationship tree, Eloise is closely tied to Krista and Bernadette who respectively also held high rank in Kegha Military and she deeply care for her friend and adopted daughter whose constant bicker at each other gives Eloise a headache at times. In contrast with her friend Krista whose commanding style is for reckless offensive, Eloise is a level-headed army commander who always calculate the outcomes and cost for the actions she committed and will try to do the right thing just like in one moment she helped Knight Margaret escape her unjust persecution despite it will lead her to conflict with corrupt nobles.

 With her Kit, Eloise serves as an offensive tank class unit wielding Knight Lances that can transition into several form and provide staying power with her High Gear which calls forth her Knight subordinates and provide Shield for the team. In terms of Performance, being a Defender Class Eloise kinda got the short end of the stick because Defender is one of weakest class in Final Gear who will be easily shredded by UR DPS units. Regardless Eloise managed to carry me faithfully during my early days with the game's PVE Content just fine with her mediocre stats and for her dutiful service Eloise still remains to be in one of my permanent team.

To be honest if Final Gear didn't have its abrupt halt to its progress, I think Eloise could have the UR upgrade she needed being one of the units with older kit. I would expect her UR Kit could include High Gear/Shield on deploy from the start like UR Rebeyrca or Damage reflect capability while the Shield active to make her competitive in PvP scene

 To be honest I choose Eloise as my first Final Gear Mechatalk post because not only she is my first SSR Unit but actually she is my personal favorite waifu from Final Gear even compared to the UR Pilots because she is the complete package gentle Onee-san archetype who unfortunately didn't get the popularity she deserves being stuck in a poorly managed Gacha game, her summer skin is easily one of the top tier in the game too. I am quite surprised Hitomi Nabatame did quite a good job for a Waifu role considering her talent is wasted too much of her talent as B-Tier characters.

Lastly before the Final Gear met its eventual end, I will try making Final Gear's Mechatalk to be a weekly basis. PN26 and Coreleah will be probably the next candidate for Mechatalk.
