52Toys Beastbox BB-23 Darkwave Review

First of the Deep Sea series!

As the opening review for this year, i decided to post a review for 52Toys Beastbox product with the Sea Creatures series as the first pick. There will be a set Three Reviews for the this series starting with BB-23 Darkwave.  I have always been fascinated with Beastbox series when it popped out and thought they had some great potential down the road. Thus i did my part to support the series when the products are available for preorder and i could see myself supporting the lineup for quite a while.

BB-23 Darkwave is the Dinosaur type beastbox that resembles Plesiosaur. While it is not the first type of the Dinosaur Variant, i think it is the first Aquatic variant of its kind. Darkwave was released in the same timing with its sibling unit, Stargazer which is the Land version of the former. Darkwave's Combat Capability are supported by the missile and cannons on its back and possibly energy variant of tailgun.

Compared to Megabox Landbreaker, the Beastbox series kinda lacks playability with its limited articulation. Darkwave only comes with some Squid object as external accessories which perhaps a possible separate Beastbox in the future.

The Cube form transformation for Darkwave is relatively simple though having the pegs locked at the joint is slightly tricky. Darkwave is one of the few Beastbox that has Diamond Shaped frontal few instead of straight cubes which the properties are shared with its sibling unit Stargazer.

Individually Beastbox toys doesn't look that impressive but the value of  the series certainly shines once you collect a number of them. There will be two remaining Reviews for the Beastbox Deep Sea creatures series which hopefully able to come out soon.
