After successfully rescuing the King along with the Knight Captain Dylanhardt, through an errand of searching particular individual, the Player is led to a Port Town as their next adventure destination . Regardless of the Patron that the player choose, the Players will find out they will be facing threats from a new the Great Warped one as the Port Town are shrouded with mysterious magic that cause amnesia and part of the city being overrun by Sahagins.
In my first run, I picked Egolion since he is the easiest option for some reason as People recommend to go through the order of Egolion>Goetia>Aegon for 2nd Abyss Dungeon.
Just like the name implies, Port Town Abyss Dungeon is Aquatic themed Dungeon filled with Water Element enemy. Yekaterina and other Earth Element Adventurers will have a field in this dungeon, provided they are sufficiently equipped. It is very recommended to farm at Earth Den until all your Physical attackers got Earth Elemental weapons preferably upgraded to +10. Fire elemental Adventurers will take more damage but Earth Den armors will mitigate the issue, just don't have more than 2.
The greatest challenge in Port Town abyss is the sunken Area which is a death sentence if you face any Sahagin enemies as they will have First turn Advantage which can lead to easy TPK especially you meet the larger ones and you can't even cast any Spell. The levels that you have to take extra care will be the 6th Floor and Ship 2nd Level which have Sunken Area that cannot be permanently drained.
In the Port Town Abyss Dungeon, you will meet a mysterious Beautiful Lady named Melgina who served as the Key character in this Dungeon. You will first meet her on the 4th Floor which you won't be able to interact much other than giving her Mackerel Sandwich to get her magic blessing and progress through the dungeon. But on the Second run you will have more interaction options with her provided that your run is not bugged.
Note: If you don't get the Titanium Quest when you met her on 4th Floor in the second run even after Deciphering all 7 Merfolk Message, try to leap back second last Node on First Abyss and defeat Helmut again.
The premise of the 2nd Abyss is the Adventurer need to fight in 5 Gauntlets of Colosseum Match on the Greater Abyss Ship to thwart the threat of the Greater Abyss creature that terrorise this port town. Obviously this Colosseum match are rigged and the Player will probably do some Side Quests to have a winning chance on the fight.
On Egolion route, The 1st and 5th Arena Opponent is guaranteed Defeat on first fight which you will have to undergo before able to find out the solution. So go solo on these 2 if you want to avoid paying hefty amount to revive your party members. The 2nd and 3rd Enemy can be defeated straight away but apparently they have alternate endings if you can fulfill the requirement on second run. The 4th Enemy need some prep work but you don't need gameover to clear the quest despite the side quest is abit lengthy for this one.
As the final boss of the 2nd Abyss, you will face Melgina who turned to Abyss Creature merged with the ship. Overall her fight is not too difficult as long as you are properly Geared and stock up some Potion of Extra Healing and Earth Scroll. But you will find out later that she is not the real enemy that you need to face in 2nd Abyss and you have the choice to save her if you want to do the sidequest.
One thing that you need to pay attention is that you have to save the Person that you are searching for before you start the 2nd Arena Fight. Once you finish your first 2nd Arena match, go to the cursed Wheel to turn back the time straight away and do the quest to prevent the Duel enemy to blow up upon being defeated. For trouble you will get the Key item required to save Melgina. It is recommended to read all of the Hidden Messages on the Mermaid Statue before starting a new run.
Overall I am quite satisfied with my first run with Second Abyss even if it takes quite some time since I need to farm on Earth Den but effort is quite worth it because those Earth Armaments really make short work of the Pesky Sahagin which can be dangerous if not dealt quickly. Currently I have progressed halfway through my 2nd Run which got some detour due to in-game bug but fortunately can still be fixed with Helmut Boss fight which is not as annoying as it used to be with Lv40+ Party team. Hopefully I can clear the 2nd Abyss before the end of February.
