Arknights x Persona 3 Collab Event

With Arknights having run for more than seven years on the CN server and six years globally, the game continues to go strong with a steady stream of content. That kind of longevity is a rarity in the gacha game scene, where many titles struggle to maintain momentum for even a few years. For its latest anniversary cycle, Hypergryph has something particularly special in store: collaboration events.

Not only are they continuing with the second Monster Hunter collaboration, but Hypergryph has followed it up with an even more unexpected crossover: Persona 3. The collaboration is set to begin on the CN server in early September 2026.

Persona 3 Reload APEX Limepie P3 Protagonist Makoto Yuki

Atlus and Sega continue their active push of the Persona IP through merchandise releases, and this time Makoto Yuki receives a particularly interesting figure. Among manufacturers, Apex-Toys is handling the release as part of their new Limepie series lineup. After establishing a reputation with premium PVC figures, Apex is now expanding into a more budget-friendly range, with Makoto Yuki chosen to spearhead this new direction. The figure is scheduled for release in April 2027 with a price tag of 6,800 yen.

Rendered in his Persona 3 Reload design, Makoto Yuki is posed holding an Arcana card, ready for combat. For a figure at this price point assuming a standard 1/8 scale this release appears to be a strong value proposition. It potentially surpasses previous budget-range PVC figures in both sculpt quality and design freshness, compared to lines such as Alter or Figuarts Zero.

And given the current trajectory of Persona merchandise marketing and the buildup toward Persona 6, I won’t be surprised that characters such as Joker and Yu Narukami will eventually receive figures in this same lineup.

Persona Nendoroid More Persona 30th Anniv Collab Vignette

As part of the Persona series' 30th anniversary celebration, Good Smile Company has unveiled an interesting addition to its Nendoroid More lineup. Simply titled the Persona 30th Anniversary Collab Vignette, this diorama-style group display features the protagonists of Persona 3, Persona 4, and Persona 5 together in Nendoroid form. Scheduled for release in November 2026, the Persona 30th Anniversary Collab Vignette will be sold for 7,900 yen.

For some longtime Persona fans, it may seem ironic that a figure commemorating the franchise's 30th anniversary only features protagonists from the last three mainline entries while Persona 1 and Persona 2 are absent. In many ways, however, this outcome was inevitable. It was Persona 3 that transformed the series into a mainstream success and became a major turning point for Atlus. Since then, the identity of the Persona brand has largely been defined by the modern trilogy of Persona 3, 4, and 5.

As a product, the vignette is an attractive display piece that makes effective use of the Nendoroid aesthetic. The sculpting and presentation successfully capture the distinct personalities of the three protagonists. My main reservation is the static nature of the display. The figures are permanently integrated into the diorama rather than functioning as standalone Nendoroids. While this limits playability and customization, it is understandable from a production standpoint. Allowing each character to be detached and fully poseable would likely have increased both the complexity and retail price of the product.

At the moment, Atlus appears to be at a crossroads as it determines the future direction of the Persona franchise. While Persona 5 remains immensely popular, there is a growing sense among some fans that the company has relied on it for too long. As a Persona 3 fan, I would rather see Atlus create a new project that gives meaningful representation to Persona 3, 4, and 5 collectively, rather than the constant milking Persona 5. Such a project could help bridge the gap until Atlus is ready to reveal the definitive vision for Persona 6.

Persona 3 Nendoroid Aigis 2.0

It has been around a year since Persona 3 got its remake and as the game soon make its re-entry to Nintendo Switch 2, GSC among Japanese manufacturers find it fitting to include this series into their new products. Aigis being the popular postergirl of Persona 3 got her long due makeover Nendoroid, released as 2.0 version! Scheduled for May 2025, Nendoroid Aigis 2.0 will be sold for 6800 Yen.

After Makoto Yuki, Aigis is pretty much the next character who is closest to Main Character status, being the main representative of Persona 3 thus being receiving end of new merchandise from Persona 3 Remake is not surprising. P3 Remake Aigis got several design differences with the old version and the Nendoroid certainly represent the makeover aspect, including the character cutout.

Persona 3 had rather special place in Atlus history, being the video game that saved Atlus from brink of bankruptcy during its release on PS2 and this sort of special treatment is not a surprise. I bet GSC could make a complete set of SEES member like they did with Persona 5 and new figmas for P3 could be even a thing since I do see Orpheus getting a physical rendition recently.

Persona Qset+ Persona 3-5 Protagonists

A surprise simultaneous release for Persona series but a pleasant one nonetheless. For once I never though Goodsmile Shanghai took initiative for a Japan IP but here we got the Persona mini figure under Qset+ lineup! Released under 2500 Yen Price Tag, the main protagonists from Persona 3 to 5 will be released simultaneously on October 2024.

On the first glance I think this Qset Sculpt quality will be somewhere in between Qposket and Nendoroid. Quite sure there were plenty Prize Figures that has a set of a Figure in sitting pose that comes with pairing chair, but it is still quite uncommon for super deformed scale similar to Qposket to get such treatment even if there were couple of those Nendoroid Swacchao before though Qset appear to be different lineup. If the product is selling well, I am quite sure that Goodsmile Shanghai might consider release the supporting party members from each Persona series. But given the ongoing global economic situation and the target demographic spending power, I really doubt that it will likely happen. Might have considered getting the Qset Makoto Yuki though I am still banking on possible Nendoroid Doll release.

Persona 3 Reloaded ARTFX J 1/7 Protagonist Makoto Yuki

Persona 3 Reloaded has just came out early this month and it is obvious that the merchandise will keep flowing in around this year! After the Velvet Room Attendant Elizabeth, now the main Protagonist himself Makoto Yuki joining in to the Kotobukiya ARTFX Lineup! Scheduled for July 2024 release, ARTFX J Makoto Yuki will be sold for 17500 Yen Price Tag.

For a Persona 3 PVC Figure, this version of Makoto Yuki is as basic as it gets as Kotobukiya chose rather basic pose for the silent protagonist that saved Atlus Life back in PS2 era. Compared to the old Alter version and Figuarts, ARTFX J Makoto Yuki certainly looks good but Kotobukiya could have added more swappable parts for this personal favorite Persona Protagonist of mine. Let's see if Kotobukiya going to release the rest of SEES team but nonethless this one will look good with Megahouse Thanatos which was released years ago.

Persona 3: Reload Kotobukiya 1/8 Elizabeth

Persona 3 has always been Atlus Golden boy and with the series getting AAA makeover as Persona 3: Reload, it is bound for Persona 3 merchandise starting to trickle in once again! Starting with the dorky Velvet room attendant Elizabeth, Kotobukiya is joining the early run with 1/8 Premium PVC scale figure. Slated for June 2024 schedule, 1/8 Elizabeth will be sold for 17500 Yen.

Standing in Combat ready stance, Kotobukiya's Elizabeth comes with amazing detail of the Major Arcana cards surrounding her. This Kotobukiya's PVC figure is arguably a step up for Alter's 1/8 PVC figure more than a decade ago which fetched quite an expensive sum at some point. Despite her support role in Persona 3, those who have finished the game definitely will not underestimate Elizabeth given that she is even more formidable compared to the game's final boss should player seek to challenge her in combat. Among Persona 3 Waifu character, Elizabeth is probably one of the more popular choice standing behind Aigis considering she is one of the more devoted character toward the main protagonist and in the older version the VA for Elizabeth and P3 MC were real-life couple. As the Persona 3 Remake closing its release date, we can expect more PVC figures especially for popular characters like Aigis or Mitsuru. Heck I think even there is a good shot for GSC releasing Pop Up Parades too.

Persona 3 Pop Up Parade Aigis

With the recent plan of Persona 3 remaster being leaked out, i think we will be seeing more merchandise from this series which is more than welcome for the series fans like me. So after Makoto Yuki getting a long needed Nendoroid treatment, now it is the turn for the Robot Waifu Aigis getting the Pop Up Parade. Scheduled for October 2022, Pop Up Parade Aigis will be sold for 4800 Yen, typical of the lineup price.

For the Pop Up Parade Aigis is posed in Dynamic combat pose with her finger Gatling Gun portraying the balance of Power and Aesthetics as anti shadow weapon. Not as over the top compared to her Palladion Premium figure, but this one is decent enough for Pop Up Parade lineup considering Fate series suffered worse end compared to this. I think at this rate we are highly likely to see the rest of SEES team making it with this lineup at least the waifus one. Personally i would look forward to Mitsuru's being the best waifu from the Persona 3 cast apart from Elizabeth.

Persona 3 Nendoroid 1863 Makoto Yuki

Things finally come into full circle for Persona series in Nendoroid lineup! took compared to Figma, but Persona 3 Protagonist Makoto Yuki made it as the last Modern Persona series Nendoroid. Nendoroid Makoto Yuki is scheduled for October 2022 release with 6100 Price tag, slightly more expensive compared to his compatriots probably due to weakening Japanese Yen.

Nendoroid Makoto Yuki accesories pretty much mirror the Figma counterpart with an extra Tarot Card and it is kinda lackluster for its price. Seeing the recent movement on Shin Megami Tensei series i think it is a good moment to re-release HD version of Persona 3 to follow up SMT 3 which got Figma Hitoshura recently as well. I think Nendoroid Makoto Yuki could use a companion like Thanatos or Elizabeth to accompany him for an extra selling point for this personal favorite Persona Protagonist of mine.

July - September 2020 Loot

Another Heavy Duty accumulation of Loots over past three months with Mecha and FGO being the usual business. This time's loot is rather expensive due to Sentinel items being part of the haul with Riobot Legioss and Johanna easily account for half of this loot's overall value. For the Mecha series there are new series that join part of my collection as i invest on Beastbox and Joytoy which are some recent Chinese made Mecha Toys that seems to have Potential. As for FGO series, i got myself some Figmas and non-Banpresto Prize Figures for a change. While i usually restrict myself in getting Figmas only for the Servants that have visited my Chaldea, i am willing to get Proto Saber in advance so the Bishie King is willing to grace a visit next year just like Gilgamesh already did in recent Gilfest. As usual Prize Figure will likely get the earliest opportunity for Reviews but i will try to prioritize the Beastbox this time.

Megahouse Game Characters Collection DX Thanatos

After Arsene Persona 5, Megahouse revisits Persona series with the Top Persona from Persona 3, Thanatos! I have kept a close look on this version of Thanatos since the prototype reveal few months ago, because he is one of the badass Persona design out there that doesn't get enough justice. The figure will cost 25300 Yen with January release which is expected since the figure will be quite big and look impressive no doubt. If i didn't had my D-Arts Thanatos, i might have considered getting this one even though the price is kinda out of my range. In Persona 3, Thanatos serve as Ultimate Death Arcana Persona which is automatically obtainable since it plays significant part in the storyline. Thanatos gave me quite lasting impression with his debut early in the game and as the personification of Death, he fights with sword but capable of fighting in berserker style spewing projectiles as well. I think Izanagi had a good shot making it into Megahouse though i personally wish Max Factory could release Figmas for the titular Persona form P3-5 since it has been a long due already.

Persona 5 Transforming 1/12 Johanna/Anat

A persona wielder action figure are incomplete without their Personas and we are getting a good one for Persona 5. With the help of Sentinel, Phantom Thief Queen from Persona 5 got her Motorcycle Persona for here respective figma. Since this one doesn't really fit with Sentinel's Riobot lineup, 1/12 Johanna/Anat got their own lineup scheduled for May 2020 release with 20000 Yen price tag. Out of Phantom Thieves, Makoto Niijima had one of the coolest Persona with a motorcycle that transform into Robot for its second form. No doubt Sentinel make good use of their experience from the Mospeada for this one due to the need for intricate transforming mechanism. While it is rather costly for 1/12 scale, i will still get 1/12 Johanna/Anat since i have commited getting Figma Queen. I just hope Sentinel won't release their products in short succession so my wallet could recover for abit. I do hope Max Factory could release Figma Arsene someday so Joker could have his Persona too.

Yami's Wonderfest Winter 2019 Highlight

It is this particular time every year where the the floodgates are released for the Toy Collectors. As usual temptations are always flying everywhere which may make your wallet go bust. Like every previous Wonderfest, i always make coverage that highlights things that catches my attention but this time i will make separate post for FGO since i got assignment for that one and might as well make a new material out of it.

January 2019 Loot

I splurged quite a lot for my collection last month and these are some remaining bits of the loot that made it around this time. Not as much but they are still some Quality hauls that i managed to get. As always my FGO merchandise has increased again since i followed the game which i got myself 2 Ichiban Kujis and Figma Saber Lily this time. But the rarest bits of the Hauls are the SRC Big Order Room 3&4 which i got from Surugaya proxy which cost me around 2 Million Rupiah though i have prepared the budget for them in the first place. Nendoroid Jack Frost also make good addition to my Persona collection and it is a good thing i waited for rerun preorder, lastly POP Zinogre would make a great asset for Monster hunter series. I suppose the upcoming reviews will be mostly FGO related but i will try my best to balance things out.

Persona 5 Figma 417 Queen/Makoto Niijima

With Fox and Panther getting their figma, Queen is bound to get hers soon or later, being one of the most popular waifu in Persona 5 after all. The figma will be scheduled for July Release with 6800 Yen Price tag which is still quite far away. Makoto's figma comes with standard accesories like other Phantom Thieves like her main and ranged weapon as well as Phantom Thief calling card. In Persona 5, Makoto is one of the most solid party member able to commit well both in Offense and Support. Though she is not my number one heroine in the game, i can see why Makoto is easily one of the more Popular character in the game being a mixture of Aigis and Mitsuru after all. I will likely get this Figma since she is the best partner choice for Joker if i had to pick one of the Phantom Thief. Another reason is that her Persona is coming too in the form of kickass Motorcycle and would make a great addition to my Figma collection. With Four of the Phantom Thieves made it out, Skull is going to be the next one and Noir will likely to come out as well.

Yami's Summer Wonderfest 2018 Highlight

Twice a year, Wonderfest always bring some high class temptations for toy collectors as usual and i am doing my part to highlight objects of interest. While i find Winter Wonderfest tend to have better lineup on prototypes, i find this summer to be equally good probably had to do with my focus shift less to Mecha nowadays.

Yami's Megahobby 2018 and One Hobby G Expo Highlights

Usually the big stuffs for Japanese Toys are shown on Wonderfest but for some reason this Year's Megahobby Expo catches my attention. This event mainly focus on PVC Figures so Bandai doesn't really have presence on this one. As usual FGO dominated the product lineups and the temptations are strong with this one.

Persona 5 First Playthrough Complete!

Ever since i own PS3 a while ago, Persona 5 has been one of the game in my bucket list to play as i followed the Persona series since the 3rd Game. After clocking around 70 Hours, i managed to complete my first playthrough for this game. Persona 5 is definitely a worthy successor of the series even though it feels that contents pruned off here and there in order to keep the game Polished. Overall the story of Persona 5 is darker than the previous games as it touch on uncomfortable subject that Japanese Society had. In terms of gameplay Persona 5 no doubt surpass its Predecessors and managed to raise the bar yet again with its very stylish presentation. But when it comes to storyline, it isstill up for debate. Persona 5 is a Great Game for sure but i find its setting too Depressing and Tokyo simply is not charming compared to Tatsumi Port Island or Inaba. For me, i find the game's theme of rebellion against establishment are slightly edgy and over the top for my taste. In the end Persona 3 still wins with its end game story while Persona 4 have better character synergy when compared to Persona 5. Nevertheless there are still plenty of opportunity of additional improvement that this game can get considering it lacks almost two months worth of content.
