Dungeon Meshi Nendoroid Chimera Farlyn

 As fans continue to wait for the second season of Dungeon Meshi, another piece of merchandise featuring Chimera Farlyn has been announced following her Pop Up Parade figure. This time, Good Smile Company is giving her the Nendoroid treatment. Priced at 7,800 yen, the figure is scheduled for release in February 2027.

At 7,800 yen, I think Chimera Farlyn represents fairly good value. Considering her much bulkier design compared to the average Nendoroid, I wouldn't have been surprised if Good Smile Company had priced her even higher. Instead, they've kept her at the standard price point for many recent Nendoroids from popular licensed series that at times come with less accessories, making her a relatively good bargain.

She would also make a nice companion piece for my Dungeon Meshi figma collection, which I have already completed. While I'm still undecided on whether I'll pick her up, she's certainly one of the more tempting Nendoroid releases from the series so far.

Beast King War God The Gattai Dandivine

 

With Masami Ōbari’s new Super Robot series set to launch in 2026, Good Smile Company has been quick to announce the release of the series’ titular mecha, Dandivine. Two product lines are planned: the more affordable MODEROID series and the premium THE GATTAI line. This article will focus on the latter. Scheduled for release in October 2026, THE GATTAI Dandivine is priced at ¥29,500.

Overall, Dandivine is a mecha design that feels very much in line with expectations from veteran mecha director and designer Masami Ōbari. The design strongly evokes the 1990s Heisei-era Super Sentai combination mecha, with clear influences reminiscent of Gaoranger’s GaoKing and Gingaiger’s GingaiOh, while also carrying hints of Dairanger’s DairenOh. The humanoid core unit further reinforces that classic “lead mecha” aesthetic typical of Ōbari’s style.

Personally, the Dandivine design aligns very well with my taste, although I will likely observe the series from a distance before committing to a purchase, since the anime has not yet fully aired. If the overall production quality matches Ōbari’s earlier work such as Gravion, I may consider picking it up during a later reissue or rerun.

Girls Frontline 2 Exilium Figma Klukai

Following the reveal of Tololo, Good Smile Company has unveiled its next Girls' Frontline 2 Figma figure, none other than the game's poster girl, HK416 Klukai. Not long after Animester released Klukai in her popular Speedstar skin complete with a motorcycle, Good Smile Company has opted for Klukai's default Girls' Frontline 2 appearance. Scheduled for release in April 2027, Figma Klukai will be sold for 13,800 yen.

For a figure that costs roughly twice as much as the Speedstar Klukai action figure for overseas collector , Figma Klukai offers a pleasing sculpt that faithfully captures the anime aesthetic that the Figma line is known for. To justify the higher price point, the figure includes four weapon sets and a removable hat, making this fan-favorite waifu an attractive addition for Girls' Frontline collectors.

As for the Girls' Frontline franchise itself, while it is unfortunate that Girls' Frontline: Fire Control had to shut down its service, it appears that a successor project, Blue Covenant, is currently in development. From what has been shown so far, the title seems to be a take on the cooperative extraction and large-scale combat formula popularized by the Helldivers series.

On the merchandise front, I would not be surprised to see Leva or Makiatto become the next action figure releases. If not, Groza would also be a strong candidate, provided she eventually receives the same level of merchandising support as the franchise's more prominent characters.

Persona Nendoroid More Persona 30th Anniv Collab Vignette

 

As part of the Persona series' 30th anniversary celebration, Good Smile Company has unveiled an interesting addition to its Nendoroid More lineup. Simply titled the Persona 30th Anniversary Collab Vignette, this diorama-style group display features the protagonists of Persona 3, Persona 4, and Persona 5 together in Nendoroid form. Scheduled for release in November 2026, the Persona 30th Anniversary Collab Vignette will be sold for 7,900 yen.

For some longtime Persona fans, it may seem ironic that a figure commemorating the franchise's 30th anniversary only features protagonists from the last three mainline entries while Persona 1 and Persona 2 are absent. In many ways, however, this outcome was inevitable. It was Persona 3 that transformed the series into a mainstream success and became a major turning point for Atlus. Since then, the identity of the Persona brand has largely been defined by the modern trilogy of Persona 3, 4, and 5.

As a product, the vignette is an attractive display piece that makes effective use of the Nendoroid aesthetic. The sculpting and presentation successfully capture the distinct personalities of the three protagonists. My main reservation is the static nature of the display. The figures are permanently integrated into the diorama rather than functioning as standalone Nendoroids. While this limits playability and customization, it is understandable from a production standpoint. Allowing each character to be detached and fully poseable would likely have increased both the complexity and retail price of the product.

At the moment, Atlus appears to be at a crossroads as it determines the future direction of the Persona franchise. While Persona 5 remains immensely popular, there is a growing sense among some fans that the company has relied on it for too long. As a Persona 3 fan, I would rather see Atlus create a new project that gives meaningful representation to Persona 3, 4, and 5 collectively, rather than the constant milking Persona 5. Such a project could help bridge the gap until Atlus is ready to reveal the definitive vision for Persona 6.

Arknights 1/7 Eyjafjalla Hvit Aska - A Picnic before Long Trip ver

Another one of the best skin illustrations from Arknights has finally made it into figure form. This time, the spotlight goes to the precious sheep kouhai Eyjafjalla, whose Alter version skin is receiving the scale figure treatment. The PVC figure is based on Eyja Alter’s Epoque series skin, A Picnic Before the Long Trip. Scheduled for release in August 2027, this figure will retail for around 29,000 yen.

A rather pricey release from Good Smile Company, but as expected, the company really brings out the charm of this particular Eyjafjalla skin. Simply put, the Alice in Wonderland-inspired design perfectly amplifies the innocent and gentle qualities that Eyja naturally has. Whether as a devastating DPS caster or an exceptionally reliable healer, Eyjafjalla has always been one of the most dependable operators in the game despite her relatively tragic background compared to many other operators in Rhodes Island.

The last time Eyja received a PVC figure was based on her summer skin version, and honestly, she is one of the operators I would not mind seeing get even more merchandise in the future. If things go well for the series, I would not be surprised to see her Arknights: Endfield version eventually receive a figure adaptation as well.

Girls Frontline 2 Exilium Figma Tololo

It’s been about a year since Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium made its global debut, and the first wave of Figma figures is finally on the way. Leading the lineup is Tololo (AK-Alfa), who has the honor of becoming the very first Figma release from the game. She’s scheduled to launch in February 2027 with a price tag of 13,800 yen.

It’s not hard to see why Tololo was chosen. As one of the initial SSR T-Dolls available at launch, she’s a familiar face to most players. Based on an Israeli variant of the Kalashnikov platform, Tololo quickly establishes herself as a dependable early-game unit, offering consistent DPS and making her a go-to pick for new commanders.

As the inaugural GFL2 Figma, Tololo already looks promising. The sculpt showcases impressive detail, particularly in the semi-transparent elements of her outfit, and she comes equipped with her signature combat drone for added display value. Early impressions suggest a strong start for the line.

Meanwhile, other fan-favorite characters are already gaining traction. Klukai appears to have a prototype in development, which isn’t surprising given her popularity. Hopefully, this is just the beginning, there’s plenty of demand for action figures of other standout T-Dolls like Groza, Qiongjiu, Makiatto, and Suomi.

Shakugan no Shana Nendoroid Shana 2.0

Not long after the Nendoroid release of the tsundere magician apprentice Louise from Zero no Tsukaima, another iconic character voiced by Kugimiya Rie, the “tsundere queen” of anime has received her upgraded 2.0 Nendoroid: Shana from Shakugan no Shana! This release was expected, given that several of Kugimiya Rie’s most famous roles, including Toradora! and Zero no Tsukaima, have been honored with new Nendoroids. Scheduled for release in September 2026, the Shana 2.0 Nendoroid is priced at 6,900 Yen.

This 2.0 version presents Shana in her full combat form, complete with wing parts and her katana, alongside her signature blazing red hair. Unlike her classic depictions, this version focuses more on aesthetic and dynamic combat design, so it does not include her iconic melon bread—a small but notable omission for fans. Nevertheless, it remains a must-have for collectors and anime enthusiasts nostalgic for this series, which captured hearts over 20 years ago.

Much like with Zero no Tsukaima, I’ve only watched the first season of Shakugan no Shana, but it left a lasting impression, especially thanks to its iconic opening theme songs. Perhaps the fast release of this new Nendoroid is a subtle nudge to finally continue my journey with the series, just as I plan to revisit Zero no Tsukaima.

One fun observation I just noticed: the legendary seiyuu Ayako Kawasumi voiced characters in all three popular anime where Kugimiya Rie played the tsundere lead heroine, always as the love interest rival. It’s a delightful coincidence! Maybe it’s time for me to give Toradora! a brief revisit as well.

Final Fantasy 1 Nendoroid Warrior of Light

It has been nearly 40 years since Final Fantasy I first released, and while it took some time, its iconic protagonist; the Warrior of Light has finally been made into a Nendoroid. It’s been a while since we’ve seen Final Fantasy merchandise outside of Square Enix’s usual lineup. But survival necessity due to shifting global market conditions seem to have compelled Square Enix for a humbler approach. Scheduled for release in September 2026, the Nendoroid Warrior of Light will retail for 7,900 yen.

This Nendoroid draws heavily from the classic artwork of Yoshitaka Amano, which was later popularized again through the Dissidia series. For longtime fans, it’s a long-overdue dose of nostalgia. The intricate armor design is especially impressive, the sculpt clearly reflects a great deal of care and effort, befitting such a legacy character.

As a JRPG fan, I’ve played Final Fantasy I myself including the original NES version, so this release carries a lot of personal nostalgia. With the Warrior of Light finally getting the Nendoroid treatment, I can only hope Firion from Final Fantasy II is next, as that entry has always held a special place for me.

Getter Robo Freeing Dynamic Change Getter Robo G

Freeing is best known for their 1/4 scale bunny waifu PVC figures, so it may come as a surprise that they also produce mecha robot toys and now they’re re-releasing a product from the Getter Robo G series. Dubbed Dynamic Change, this particular product features Getter Robo G with a full transformation gimmick. Scheduled for August 2026, Dynamic Change Getter Robo G will be priced at 11,800 Yen.

Dynamic Change is one of the Getter Robo toys that offers a full-fledged transformation gimmick. The set allows complete transformation of Getter Dragon, Getter Liger, and Getter Poseidon from the Getter team’s combined plane mode. As expected, the intricate engineering required for these transformations limits articulation, but the final product is still impressive and fascinating for collectors.

Personally, I’m particularly interested in this release because Ryoma with his Getter Dragon was the MVP of my recent Alpha 3 playthrough, making this figure especially appealing.

Uma Musume Nendoroid Super Creek

With the resurgence of Uma Musume following its global release and its featured appearance in Cinderella Grey, Super Creek is finally getting her own Nendoroid! This marks her first major piece of merchandise, with more on the way. Kotobukiya even has already revealed a prototype for her upcoming PVC figure. Scheduled for release in August 2026, Nendoroid Super Creek will be sold at 7,600 yen.

Among Uma Musume trainees, Super Creek is not especially renowned for her race record. However, her strong maternal aura  amplified by the fandom’s well-known “goo goo babies” meme, has made her a beloved character within the community. The Nendoroid version presents a noticeably more wholesome and sanitized interpretation compared to her popular fan portrayal, though that certainly won’t stop creative collectors from recreating the meme with their own display setups.

While I may have stepped away from the Global version of Uma Musume due to its lingering JP-style “Saturnian” rigidity, I remain open to engaging with the franchise in forms that are less time-demanding.

Arknights Nendoroid Dusk

 

Arknights: Endfield may be generating plenty of buzz right now, but Hypergryph hasn’t forgotten about the original Arknights series when it comes to merchandise. The franchise is getting yet another Nendoroid, and this time Hypergryph has decided to continue the Sui Siblings lineup. Following Shu, the reclusive yet immensely talented painter Dusk is next to receive the Nendoroid treatment. Scheduled for release in October 2026, Nendoroid Dusk will retail for 6,800 yen.

Martian Successor Nadesico 1/7 Ruri Hoshino

Martian Successor Nadesico may be a dormant IP these days, but that doesn’t mean its best waifu can’t still get new merchandise. Ruri Hoshino is getting a new 1/7 scale PVC figure from Good Smile Company, and she looks stunning in her iconic young battleship captain getup from Prince of Darkness , one of the peak designs of the 90s. The figure is scheduled for release in October 2026 and will be priced at 18,000 yen. 

Ruri stands out as one of the best teen heroine designs in mecha anime of her era, a testament to the skill of her character designer. Her transition from Nadesico to Prince of Darkness captures her growth beautifully. Ruri becomes the epitome of the “young maiden falling in love” archetype, as she gradually develops feelings for Akito, the main character of Nadesico, a relationship that is emotionally complicated and borderline forbidden. Interestingly, the voice actors for Akito and Ruri are married in real life as well.

Genshin Impact Nendoroid Xiao

It’s hard to believe it’s already been half a year since I stepped away from Genshin. Yet the slow pace of Genshin merchandise releases continues. Four months after Nendoroid Kaeya, we now have the Yaksha General himself, Xiao! Scheduled for release in December 2026, Nendoroid Xiao is priced at 7,500 yen.

At this point, I’m honestly puzzled by HoYoverse’s continued confidence in what feels like a half-hearted approach to merchandise for one of their formerly dominant IPs. There was a time when Genshin’s popularity could justify almost anything, but goodwill from the early fanbase has clearly burnt out completely by this time. The pacing and perceived effort behind these releases don’t exactly inspire excitement.

Zero no Tsukaima Nendoroid Louise 2.0

One of the early mid-2000s isekai classics, Zero no Tsukaima, has finally received a Nendoroid 2.0 renewal from Good Smile Company and it’s the main heroine who gets the honor! It’s been more than a decade since Louise received her first Nendoroid, and now she’s getting a full upgrade, which is truly a treat for nostalgic fans. Scheduled for release in August 2026, Nendoroid Louise will be priced at ¥6,800.

Zero no Tsukaima is the anime that cemented Rie Kugimiya’s status as the undisputed tsundere queen, thanks to her portrayal of Louise: an insecure apprentice wizard who hides immense power, having isekai’d high school boy serves as her familiar and eventual lover. I watched the series during my teenage years and still look back on it fondly.

As a classic tsundere waifu character, the new Nendoroid 2.0 Louise features a surprisingly mellow expression, which is a major win for nostalgic fans. Given that the series effectively concluded after the author’s passing, there may be no continuation of the story but I’m seriously considering rewatching the series from Season 2 to the finale just for the nostalgia.

Densetsu no Yuusha Da Garn The GATTAI Land Bison

The first Yuusha series to receive the THE GATTAI treatment has finally come full circle. What began in 2021 as a revival project for Yuusha toy lines now reaches its conclusion for its first recipient, Densetsu Yuusha Da Garn, with the announcement of THE GATTAI Land Bison. Land Bison marks the completion of Da Garn’s supporting lineup, following Pegasus Saber and Seven Changer. Scheduled for a January 2027 release, THE GATTAI Land Bison will retail for 52,000 yen, making it about 2,000 yen cheaper than Pegasus Saber. 

Guyver x Titanomachia Plamax Gale Hound 01 Guyver

Titanomachia series come with something very interesting! Usually running their original design of NAOKI, this time they are collaborating with Guyver series to give the classic Tokusatsu inspired series a new model kit. Released as Goodsmile Company Plamax model kit lineup, NAOKI’s version of Guyver will be sold for 9000 yen with December 2026 release date.

It is rather surprising that Titanomachia is not released by Kotobukiya this time, perhaps something to do with Guyver series licensing. Overall, this NAOKI’s version of Guyver 01 looks very promising with its new take on the classic series. While I do miss the bionic armor design of Guyver, this new design still looks good aligning more with modern tokusatsu aesthetics. The elbow blades has several new configurations that remind me of particular metal heroes series. Apparently from the product images, Guyver won’t be the last from this lineup.

Nikke Figma Privaty

Nikke’s merchandise output really surprise me yet again, by this time I really wonder if the Nikke merchandising department are extremely competent or Mihoyo are extremely bad with their job. Brushing off Mihoyo’s incompetence aside, The tsundere Miku twintail Elysion Nikke, Privaty now joins Nikke’s action figure selection through Figma Lineup! Scheduled for October 2026 release, Figma Privaty will be sold for 13500 Yen.

Privaty is an all-rounder Assault Rifle Nikke who was obtainable as unlockables from clearing new player missions. As such, she serves as excellent starter player core unit with her screen clearing finisher which are always handy until players obtain more specialized Nikkes for their team.

Privaty is one of the Nikke sent by central to monitor the main character commander thus she appear as overly strict no-nonsense type and ended up as Anis butt-joke. However just like many Nikkes, Privaty eventually falls over to commander’s charm and even dress up as Cat maid to seek his attention.

Given her base design, Privaty has rather versatile use and can even serve as proxy for military themed Miku despite the overkill proportion as Nikke. Despite I have quitted Nikke for a year already, Privaty is likely one of my pick for Nikke action figure along with D Killer Wife and Scarlet Black Shadow.
