During my recent Sydney trip over past 10 Days, I ended up getting some stuffs along the way as I make use of my time to explore Sydney's hobby scene,. From this trip, I got myself some Toys and Boardgames which surprisingly doesn't cost much despite Australian living cost are very high. Despite Singapore having a similar living cost with Australia, I really doubt I can get the same kind of deal over there. Because Australia being a Developed western nation do have an advantage for having a very cheap selections for their Non essential commodities with their power of leverage.
While general Australian hobby store items pricing are standard and usually fetch slightly higher compared to same product in Asia due to higher retail overhead you can get some really good deal if you know where to get the stuffs. Firstly for my Toy hauls, I got myself Xenk Yendar's DnD movie action figure and many Brick model toys. It cost me less than 100 AUD to get all stuffs from the picture above with Xenk Yendar being the most expensive piece at 45 AUD with the rest of the loots simply cost under 15 AUD. Apart from Xenk's action figure and Harry Potter cup which I bought from EBgames, the rest are bought at K-Mart which got some very insane bargain depending on which brancy you visited. You can get some Toy products in Australia's K-Mart including Brick models for even under 5 AUD if they ever got extra bargain like the biggest stuff in this haul which is Harry Potter Stationery box which I obtained for 4 AUD. I don't even remember K-Mart got such irresistible deal 10 years ago but with their seemingly new incorporation of their recent Made-in-China cheap stuffs brand called Anko, K-Mart just got very unfair competitive advantage compared to regular Australian retailers.
In my last trip to Australia 10 years ago, I did get some rare Boardgames along the way but the haul from this trip got to be even better when it comes to deal. For these 6 Boardgames, I literally only spend 150 AUD in total which makes each boardgame cost 25 AUD on average and for that kind amount of money, you can only afford a single meal in Australia. 5 of the Boardgames in this list literally under 20 AUD which is unheard of for a new copy in Asia. I managed to get this kind of irresistible deal because Hasbro probably tried to dump their failures recently from their questionable
agenda but a man's junk is another man's treasure I suppose. During this trip I got myself a Boardgame called YRO which is apparently a somewhat rare translated Japanese Fantasy boardgame which had its price easily comparable with the total of the other 5 Boardgames. I hope that I could give this game a try when I moved to a new place with sufficient space in near future.
