Dungeon Meshi Nendoroid Chimera Farlyn

 As fans continue to wait for the second season of Dungeon Meshi, another piece of merchandise featuring Chimera Farlyn has been announced following her Pop Up Parade figure. This time, Good Smile Company is giving her the Nendoroid treatment. Priced at 7,800 yen, the figure is scheduled for release in February 2027.

At 7,800 yen, I think Chimera Farlyn represents fairly good value. Considering her much bulkier design compared to the average Nendoroid, I wouldn't have been surprised if Good Smile Company had priced her even higher. Instead, they've kept her at the standard price point for many recent Nendoroids from popular licensed series that at times come with less accessories, making her a relatively good bargain.

She would also make a nice companion piece for my Dungeon Meshi figma collection, which I have already completed. While I'm still undecided on whether I'll pick her up, she's certainly one of the more tempting Nendoroid releases from the series so far.

Persona Nendoroid More Persona 30th Anniv Collab Vignette

 

As part of the Persona series' 30th anniversary celebration, Good Smile Company has unveiled an interesting addition to its Nendoroid More lineup. Simply titled the Persona 30th Anniversary Collab Vignette, this diorama-style group display features the protagonists of Persona 3, Persona 4, and Persona 5 together in Nendoroid form. Scheduled for release in November 2026, the Persona 30th Anniversary Collab Vignette will be sold for 7,900 yen.

For some longtime Persona fans, it may seem ironic that a figure commemorating the franchise's 30th anniversary only features protagonists from the last three mainline entries while Persona 1 and Persona 2 are absent. In many ways, however, this outcome was inevitable. It was Persona 3 that transformed the series into a mainstream success and became a major turning point for Atlus. Since then, the identity of the Persona brand has largely been defined by the modern trilogy of Persona 3, 4, and 5.

As a product, the vignette is an attractive display piece that makes effective use of the Nendoroid aesthetic. The sculpting and presentation successfully capture the distinct personalities of the three protagonists. My main reservation is the static nature of the display. The figures are permanently integrated into the diorama rather than functioning as standalone Nendoroids. While this limits playability and customization, it is understandable from a production standpoint. Allowing each character to be detached and fully poseable would likely have increased both the complexity and retail price of the product.

At the moment, Atlus appears to be at a crossroads as it determines the future direction of the Persona franchise. While Persona 5 remains immensely popular, there is a growing sense among some fans that the company has relied on it for too long. As a Persona 3 fan, I would rather see Atlus create a new project that gives meaningful representation to Persona 3, 4, and 5 collectively, rather than the constant milking Persona 5. Such a project could help bridge the gap until Atlus is ready to reveal the definitive vision for Persona 6.

Shakugan no Shana Nendoroid Shana 2.0

Not long after the Nendoroid release of the tsundere magician apprentice Louise from Zero no Tsukaima, another iconic character voiced by Kugimiya Rie, the “tsundere queen” of anime has received her upgraded 2.0 Nendoroid: Shana from Shakugan no Shana! This release was expected, given that several of Kugimiya Rie’s most famous roles, including Toradora! and Zero no Tsukaima, have been honored with new Nendoroids. Scheduled for release in September 2026, the Shana 2.0 Nendoroid is priced at 6,900 Yen.

This 2.0 version presents Shana in her full combat form, complete with wing parts and her katana, alongside her signature blazing red hair. Unlike her classic depictions, this version focuses more on aesthetic and dynamic combat design, so it does not include her iconic melon bread—a small but notable omission for fans. Nevertheless, it remains a must-have for collectors and anime enthusiasts nostalgic for this series, which captured hearts over 20 years ago.

Much like with Zero no Tsukaima, I’ve only watched the first season of Shakugan no Shana, but it left a lasting impression, especially thanks to its iconic opening theme songs. Perhaps the fast release of this new Nendoroid is a subtle nudge to finally continue my journey with the series, just as I plan to revisit Zero no Tsukaima.

One fun observation I just noticed: the legendary seiyuu Ayako Kawasumi voiced characters in all three popular anime where Kugimiya Rie played the tsundere lead heroine, always as the love interest rival. It’s a delightful coincidence! Maybe it’s time for me to give Toradora! a brief revisit as well.

Final Fantasy 1 Nendoroid Warrior of Light

It has been nearly 40 years since Final Fantasy I first released, and while it took some time, its iconic protagonist; the Warrior of Light has finally been made into a Nendoroid. It’s been a while since we’ve seen Final Fantasy merchandise outside of Square Enix’s usual lineup. But survival necessity due to shifting global market conditions seem to have compelled Square Enix for a humbler approach. Scheduled for release in September 2026, the Nendoroid Warrior of Light will retail for 7,900 yen.

This Nendoroid draws heavily from the classic artwork of Yoshitaka Amano, which was later popularized again through the Dissidia series. For longtime fans, it’s a long-overdue dose of nostalgia. The intricate armor design is especially impressive, the sculpt clearly reflects a great deal of care and effort, befitting such a legacy character.

As a JRPG fan, I’ve played Final Fantasy I myself including the original NES version, so this release carries a lot of personal nostalgia. With the Warrior of Light finally getting the Nendoroid treatment, I can only hope Firion from Final Fantasy II is next, as that entry has always held a special place for me.

Uma Musume Nendoroid Super Creek

With the resurgence of Uma Musume following its global release and its featured appearance in Cinderella Grey, Super Creek is finally getting her own Nendoroid! This marks her first major piece of merchandise, with more on the way. Kotobukiya even has already revealed a prototype for her upcoming PVC figure. Scheduled for release in August 2026, Nendoroid Super Creek will be sold at 7,600 yen.

Among Uma Musume trainees, Super Creek is not especially renowned for her race record. However, her strong maternal aura  amplified by the fandom’s well-known “goo goo babies” meme, has made her a beloved character within the community. The Nendoroid version presents a noticeably more wholesome and sanitized interpretation compared to her popular fan portrayal, though that certainly won’t stop creative collectors from recreating the meme with their own display setups.

While I may have stepped away from the Global version of Uma Musume due to its lingering JP-style “Saturnian” rigidity, I remain open to engaging with the franchise in forms that are less time-demanding.

Arknights Nendoroid Dusk

 

Arknights: Endfield may be generating plenty of buzz right now, but Hypergryph hasn’t forgotten about the original Arknights series when it comes to merchandise. The franchise is getting yet another Nendoroid, and this time Hypergryph has decided to continue the Sui Siblings lineup. Following Shu, the reclusive yet immensely talented painter Dusk is next to receive the Nendoroid treatment. Scheduled for release in October 2026, Nendoroid Dusk will retail for 6,800 yen.

Genshin Impact Nendoroid Xiao

It’s hard to believe it’s already been half a year since I stepped away from Genshin. Yet the slow pace of Genshin merchandise releases continues. Four months after Nendoroid Kaeya, we now have the Yaksha General himself, Xiao! Scheduled for release in December 2026, Nendoroid Xiao is priced at 7,500 yen.

At this point, I’m honestly puzzled by HoYoverse’s continued confidence in what feels like a half-hearted approach to merchandise for one of their formerly dominant IPs. There was a time when Genshin’s popularity could justify almost anything, but goodwill from the early fanbase has clearly burnt out completely by this time. The pacing and perceived effort behind these releases don’t exactly inspire excitement.

Zero no Tsukaima Nendoroid Louise 2.0

One of the early mid-2000s isekai classics, Zero no Tsukaima, has finally received a Nendoroid 2.0 renewal from Good Smile Company and it’s the main heroine who gets the honor! It’s been more than a decade since Louise received her first Nendoroid, and now she’s getting a full upgrade, which is truly a treat for nostalgic fans. Scheduled for release in August 2026, Nendoroid Louise will be priced at ¥6,800.

Zero no Tsukaima is the anime that cemented Rie Kugimiya’s status as the undisputed tsundere queen, thanks to her portrayal of Louise: an insecure apprentice wizard who hides immense power, having isekai’d high school boy serves as her familiar and eventual lover. I watched the series during my teenage years and still look back on it fondly.

As a classic tsundere waifu character, the new Nendoroid 2.0 Louise features a surprisingly mellow expression, which is a major win for nostalgic fans. Given that the series effectively concluded after the author’s passing, there may be no continuation of the story but I’m seriously considering rewatching the series from Season 2 to the finale just for the nostalgia.

Saya no Uta Nendoroid Saya

I think it has been around 20 years now since Saya no Uta has been released and this moefied Lovecraftian horror got her merchandise released once again as Nendoroid! I think it is around 7-8 years already since her PVC figure by Wing got released, usually it was Nendoroid that got released first but for Saya it is the other way around. Scheduled for July 2026 Nendoroid Saya will be sold for 6800 Yen.

Saya no Uta is one of the famous VN by Urobuchi which somehow able to convey forbidden love between human and cosmic horror in beautiful yet grotesque manner. It seems to be rather random for this old Nitroplus VN getting a Nendoroid but I suppose 20^th anniversary of once the golden child of Nitroplus VN still worth celebrating. Since I already had the PVC figure, I don’t really know If I want to obtain this Nendoroid, though I personally wouldn’t mind getting one if Al-Azif getting her 2.0 treatment as well.

Persona 3 Nendoroid Aigis 2.0

 
 It has been around a year since Persona 3 got its remake and as the game soon make its re-entry to Nintendo Switch 2, GSC among Japanese manufacturers find it fitting to include this series into their new products. Aigis being the popular postergirl of Persona 3 got her long due makeover Nendoroid, released as 2.0 version! Scheduled for May 2025, Nendoroid Aigis 2.0 will be sold for 6800 Yen.

After Makoto Yuki, Aigis is pretty much the next character who is closest to Main Character status, being the main representative of Persona 3 thus being receiving end of new merchandise from Persona 3 Remake is not surprising. P3 Remake Aigis got several design differences with the old version and the Nendoroid certainly represent the makeover aspect, including the character cutout. 

Persona 3 had rather special place in Atlus history, being the video game that saved Atlus from brink of bankruptcy during its release on PS2 and this sort of special treatment is not a surprise. I bet GSC could make a complete set of SEES member like they did with Persona 5 and new figmas for P3 could be even a thing since I do see Orpheus getting a physical rendition recently.

Fate/Grand Order Nendoroid Caster Artoria Berserker 2nd Ascension

Summer Castoria is really given quite a favor lately. Shortly after her Plamatea version, the same second ascension for Berserker Castoria got her Nendoroid! Scheduled for March 2026, Nendoroid Caster Artoria Berserker will be sold for 7000 Yen.

Given the price gap between plamatea and Nendoroid are not too significant, collectors will be highly conflicted to obtain either if they have to pick one. This Nendoroid will serve as great substitute for Nendoroid Castoria for those who missed the Nendoroid back then considering it has been quite some time since the first batch came out with no rerun so far. With Castoria special treatment getting 2^nd nendoroid, I am quite sure that Summer Morgan will be likely getting the similar treatment in near future due to Morgan popularity in FGO. I also expect Castoria summer variant will be getting more products in the future since her 1^st/3^rd ascension could be still made use of.

Genshin Impact Nendoroid Kaeya

 
 I think it has been more than 6 months since we got any Genshin Impact Nendoroid and of all available selections, we got ourselves the Cavalry Captain Kaeya as the next Nendoroid. It seems that Mihoyo still acting brazen with Genshin Impact IP despite the series definitely no longer enjoy its peak fame status and we are getting a new Nendoroid only after a lengthy period of time. Scheduled for June 2026 release, Nendoroid Kaeya will be sold for 7200 Yen Price tag.

 Kaeya is 4* Cryo Sword Character who served as one of the starter unit in Genshin Impact. He is a sub DPS unit who conjured Ice spikes around him for reaction elemental damage potential, basically Cryo version of Xiangling. I still don't understand why Mihoyo decided to release Kaeya as the latest Nendoroid after Raiden Shogun with many popular characters are still waiting their turn. If Mihoyo wants monstadt character, Jean or Eula would make good candidate but it is likely had to do with Mihoyo's Hubris. For almost 5 years sticking with Genshin, I never truly like Mihoyo's attitude toward its playerbase being an arrogant entity who thinks that they are capable of getting away with their mistreatment toward their playerbase. Perhaps they think they could try sell their Genshin IP as dearly as possible but it already backfire badly with Nikke show how merchandising should be done. 

I haven't touched my Genshin account for almost a month already and I might have given up on Genshin completely as I don't expect Mihoyo will truly change for better. Mihoyo try to act as if they are THE Saturn of videogame industry and they will pay dearly for it.

Arknights Nendoroid Civilight Aeterna

 
 Arknights series is one of those few series that still receive consistent collectible to this day and Theresa in her Civilight Aeterna form got her Nendoroid as well! Given her significance in Arknights main storyline, Theresa in her Civilight Aetherna  format is an obvious choice candidate after Amiya and Kaltsit got released before. Scheduled for June 2026, Nendoroid Civilight Aeterna will be sold for 7000 Yen SRP.

In Arknights, Theresa is one of the key characters that died off before the main story sets in and had profound bond with Doktah to the extent reaching the status of main wife in Arknights Fandom. Prior to the main story, Theresa is the King of Sarkaz who served as the leader of Babel faction trying to save Terra from imminent world ending disaster and saving her Sarkaz race from their fate. But due to her bond disrupt Doctor's original objective, she was taken out by Doctor's former partner PRTS in assassination that somehow involved Doctor and caused his amnesia. However as Amiya gains the status as King of Sarkaz, Theresa got herself technically resurrected as physical memory called Civilight Aeterna due to Amiya's wish.

In a way, Civilight Aeterna serves as the possible workaround for player to have Theresa as playable character without disrupting the storyline. She is 6* Supporter class who is unlockable in Ch14 main story who performs supportive role with some offensive skills if required. I am quite sure Priestess will follow up eventually as Nendoroid since she will not let Theresa to have Doktah for herself even in physical form.

Rozen Maiden Nendoroid Shinku 2.0

 
 Rozen Maiden is not exactly popular series as it used to given the decline of Japan Pop Culture industry, but it doesn't mean that GSC can't make any merchandise this once beloved series. Given how old the first iteration is, Goodsmile decide to give Shinku a Nendoroid 2.0 treatment! As expected, this one cost much more compared to the past series due to present economic circumstances of Japan but still have its share of merit. Scheduled for March 2026 release, Nendoroid Shinku will be sold in 2 versions; Regular for 7500 Yen and 13000 Yen for Deluxe.

Compared to the first incarnation of Nendoroid Shinku, the present iteration appears to cost three times more than the original version for some reason but there can be some justification on it. Given GSC effort on Nendoroid Doll Shinku, they find it would be a waste to have their sculpts sitting on the dust and thus reuse it for regular Nendoroid version. As a result, we got ourselves more expressive version of Shinku including her Tsundere expression which look adorable. 

But what catches my attention is the vintage Suitcase rendition of Shinku 2.0 iteration. The first version of Nendoroid Shinku came with this suitcase accessory for relatively cheaper price but this one had its own merit. The first Nendoroid Shinku suitcase was way smaller that a Nendoroid cannot fit in, but this one able to fully enclose a Nendoroid which have wide use of application. I reckon the suitcase can fit in a Nendoroid Doll which is the version of my Shinku and even can fit 3 Nendoroid in the open mode. Hopefully Suigintou or Suiseiseki can follow up in the future.
