MG 1/100 Gundam RX-78 NT-1 Alex 2.0 Review

Had an opportunity to build MG Alex 2.0 since it is one of the sample for my company's recent event so i made a mini review for this one. I am very glad to get a take on this kit since Alex is one of my favorite mecha design by Yutaka Izubuchi. This Master Grade makeover really spoils you due to the parts separation which makes it way easier to repaint along with plenty of accessories to play with. The Inner frame of Chobham Armor makes the armor feel more robust whereas the Ver 1.0 was rather flimsy. The only downside of Alex 2.0 for me is that the kit is rather blocky so less dynamic pose so i guess Robot Damashii is the way to go if you look for pulling off the cool poses. While i won't get this MG since i am content with my ver 1.0, i wouldn't dipping in for the Clear version.

Persona 5 Transforming 1/12 Johanna/Anat

A persona wielder action figure are incomplete without their Personas and we are getting a good one for Persona 5. With the help of Sentinel, Phantom Thief Queen from Persona 5 got her Motorcycle Persona for here respective figma. Since this one doesn't really fit with Sentinel's Riobot lineup, 1/12 Johanna/Anat got their own lineup scheduled for May 2020 release with 20000 Yen price tag. Out of Phantom Thieves, Makoto Niijima had one of the coolest Persona with a motorcycle that transform into Robot for its second form. No doubt Sentinel make good use of their experience from the Mospeada for this one due to the need for intricate transforming mechanism. While it is rather costly for 1/12 scale, i will still get 1/12 Johanna/Anat since i have commited getting Figma Queen. I just hope Sentinel won't release their products in short succession so my wallet could recover for abit. I do hope Max Factory could release Figma Arsene someday so Joker could have his Persona too.

Medicos 1/7 Rider Summer Mordred

Few more days until the Summer Year 1 event rerun on NA server coming to a wrap and here comes another Figure for the summer servants! In the previous Wonderfest, the summer Mordred prototype stood out for being the solitary FGO product from Medicos Booth. Medicos rarely have any product from FGO series but this one turns out just fine. The 1/7 Mordred figure will be sold for 15180 Yen with end of the year release schedule complete with her Surfboard Prydwen. Summer Mordred is one of the Summer servant that i luckily get from the banner and she served wonderfully as AOE Arts servant. In her Summer getup, Mordred is more opened up compared to her Saber version probably due to being able to vent up her frustration by surfing thus making her more adorable. I might consider to get the figure since she came to my Chaldea but i still prioritize Summer Kiyohime PVC figure first since that one has been on my list for quite a while. Medicos Summer Mordred might be nothing special but this variant is one of my preferred for the Mordred Knight figure.

Nendoroid 1170 Jeanne Alter Shinjuku

As the new Nendoroid Doll lineup didn't perform as good as Goodsmile planned initially, the Shinjuku version of the Alter duo bound to get their regular Nendoroid version. As expected Jeanne Alter follow soon after Salter got her regular Nendoroid. For once, this onee dosen't get DX version unlike the recent streak of DX variants for FGO servants and it will be sold for 5000 Yen with January 2020 Release. The best part of the accessory is the Valentine Chocolate shaped after her face in which cemented her tsundere personality. While personally i find the Figma and her PVC figure is sufficient for my collection, i think i will get this one so the Salter Shinjuku have her partner. This version would particularly make a good catalyst for Jalter Banner rerun next year considering her Shinjuku dress would be available around the same time.

D&D Classics Enhanced Edition Ultimate Collection

In the preparation for the upcoming Baldur's Gate 3, the Dungeon and Dragons Video Game Great Classics made reappearance to the Consoles in their enhanced edition with a bang! Featuring five of the successful DnD Video Game adaptation on PC; Baldur's Gate. Baldur's Gate 2, Neverwinter Night, Icewind Dale and Planescape Torment, Skyboundgames released rather tempting Collectors edition! The Collectors edition contains Three Physical Copies of the Game of the choice platform with plethora of Goodies. As much as i would love to get this collector edition getting them shipped to Indonesia would cost too expensive in Customs though i wouldn't mind for Baldur's Gate Collector Edition actually. Few years ago, I played Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition rolling as Ranger which i quite enjoyed since it is one of the closest representation of the DnD Tabletop Rpg in digital form. At very least i would get the physical copy for Baldur's Gate since i haven't finished Shadow of Amn campaign. However i am also quite interested with Planescape Torment since i heard good things about it.

Funhobby Metal Build 1/100 Blue Destiny Unit 2

When i saw a fellow Blogger's 3rd Party Metal Build Blue Destiny Unit 1 by Funhobby, i have already set my sight on this particular manufacturer. With my recent acquisition of Thunderbolt, i feel that the 3rd party quality should be decent at very least. Then recently the manufacturer's version of Blue Destiny 2 are up for preorder in my local toy store which piqued my interest. The open price is 100 USD and for a Metal Build, it is very generous. The Metal Build Blue Destiny comes with twin heat blade, Nimbus Signature weapon as well as armaments derived from Ground-Type Gundam. From what i recall, Blue Destiny 2 is the Mobile Suit used by Zeon Ace Pilot named Nimbus Schterzen after his Efreet Custom got destroyed. I am highly considering getting this one since the MB Blue Destiny 2 will become valuable if Funhobby ever considered making Blue Destiny 3. I hope the manufacturer could accomplish this before Bandai catch up with them since one of the Third Party manufacturer called Tungmung had fallen victim to Bandai's hissy fit.

Bloodstained Afterthoughts

One of the most anticipated Kickstarter game out there and this one doesn't disappoint! Bloodstained is the answer that Koji Igarashi gave to the fans after the void of his version of Castlevania for almost a decade. It took four years in development after successfully gaining backing from Kickstarter and unlike Mighty No 9, it  does satisfy the expectation. I played Bloodstained from Switch which is the worst version of the game at the moment due to graphic issue because the game actually look gorgeous in PS4 but Iga did promise to fix the issue.

The strongest point of Bloodstained is the gameplay which  takes the best bits from each Igavania starting with Symphony of the Night until Order of Ecclessia. Personally i did have fun with this game and enjoy it, however it is still not perfect enough to surpass Iga's Crown Jewel, Symphony of the Night. The weakest point of Bloodstained for me is lack of the immersion and storyline. The Maps in the game had a solid start but it gets rather dull after going past the Train Area. Also for some reason you don't feel that attached to Miriam compared to Alucard or Soma but it can be fixed eventually. For now i have completed my first run and tried to finish my weapon collection in preparation for New Game+ once the patch is out. In conclusion Bloodstained is a solid Metroidvania title which will fulfill the longing for Igavania fans and deserved the support. I think Iga could use for some good writer to help him on the Sequel should he planned for one.

July 2019 Loot

Not as much as previous loot, but got some heavyweights here. For this month two toys from Monster Hunter series, Drake EXQ and Metal Build Thunderbolt. The best of the bunch are no doubt the CFB Teostra and Metal Build Thunderbolt which each cost me around two hundred bucks. Capcom Figure Builder series doesn't disappoint with my favorite Elder Dragon and Non Bandai Metal Build turns out promising for Thunderbolt.

The Hardcore Mecha game is coming out soon after years of development and getting the Metal Build is the way i express support for the series. Considering Mecha series with good potentials are hard to come by and i will certainly get a copy of the game when it is coming to Switch. This month's loot also complete my Prize Figure set for FGO at least for now which looks impressive once gathered

As usual i doubt i will be able to put review for these new items anytime soon though i really look forward for an opportunity to review the Metal Build Thunderbolt.

Nendoroid 377 Kirin Hunter Female

It has something to do with the new MHW Iceborne expansion, but GSC are re-releasing Nendoroids from the Monster Hunter series once again! GSC starts with the all time popular choice of the series, Kirin Female Hunter! This one cost around 5800 yen, slightly pricier than average Nendoroid since it includes plenty of accesories including two weapon choices and Palico in Kirin gear. Nendoroid Kirin Hunter re-release will be scheduled for November release and hopefully the rest of MH Nendoroid will follow up too. The one that i look forward the most would be Nendoroid Lagombi Blademaster since that one has the best value for money.
