Patlabor RG 1/48 AV-98 Ingram Plus

 

Mobile Police Patlabor is one of those classic mecha franchises that has remained relatively dormant for years. While occasional merchandise releases such as the MODEROID kits have kept the name alive, the last major release into the model kit scene was likely Bandai’s 3,000-yen Master Grade from the early 2000s. Fast forward to 2026, and seemingly out of nowhere, Bandai has announced a brand-new kit of the iconic AV-98 Ingram, this time in Real Grade format. Scheduled for release in June 2026 at 5,500 yen, the RG Ingram represents a significant and somewhat unexpected upgrade for the franchise.

Mobile Police Patlabor Game Edition PSX

 Patlabor series is probably one the most well known work made by Yutaka Izubuchi and i certainly respect this series alot for having one of the most realistic approach for mecha genre. Little known outside Japan, the series actually had a decent game on PSX which was not too shabby at its time but doesn't age really well at the present with its graphic quality. In any case Patlabor Game Edition offers an interesting experience for a mecha game because it is made by people who understand the series really well.

Plamo loot for this month

Here are the recent kits that i get from HLJ. Initially  i thought that i would stop buying kits for a while since i spent too much for Huckebein Boxer already but the deals of HLJ from the Kotobukiya sale is too hard to resist. As the result i got my self Linebarrel Kizaki ver and Wildraubtier. I also get MG Ingram 1 which will complete my Patlabor Collection. Unfortunately i won't be making any of these for a while except the Ingram since currently i am having winter in my place which is hard to get a chance for painting outside.

This is another stuff that i bought from YJA. Just a heads up for those interested buying from YJA through middleman, you need to be prepared for the cost since Shipping is really expensive considering the middleman charge around 120% to 150%.which is true for SAL. I got pretty good deal again this time but from this auction i learned that in YJA there are lots of Bid Snipers. There are also some people who bid the item really high and actually doesn't want to buy the item and most of them are low reputations. So in conclusion you need to watch the auction for the item that you want until the end if you want to get it. Nevertheless YJA is a great place to look for really rare kits or toys which had been discontinued by the manufacturer for several years.
