Cowboy Bebop SHF Spike Spiegel
As a part of 20th Year Anniversary of Cowboy Bebop, Tamashii Nation announce the release for SHF Spike Spiegel last month. Not the best rendition of this free spirited Bounty Hunter, but at least it is a good substitute for the now rare Kotobukiya Figure. The SHF will be released on April this year with 6000 Yen price tag. The SHF does not come with many accessories but it seems that it is nimble enough to pull some roundhouse kick pose. At first i was considering to get this figure but my company happens to still have the Kotobukiya with good discount so i will get that one instead.
Spike is one of the more unique Anime Protagonist out there created in the time where Anime Characters can afford to have some attitude. Beneath his carefree attitude, Spike comes with amazing marksmanship skill, kickass Bruce Lee Kungfu and troubled past in single package. His Journey in the tv series is one of the best Space Outlaw story out there and i am curious how SRW T will handle it. I think there is a good chance for Bandai to release Swordfish in Chogokin lineup most likely so i will look forward at that!
See You Space Cowboy...

I only have Precure SHF and the quality vary a bit between, now I need to get some Kamen Rider ones to compare.
ReplyDeleteI never knew that Bandai made something besides KR, Sentai and precure into SHF line
SHF Tend to be a miss for Bishoujo characters which is what Figma Specialty. But it does a solid job for Action Heroes like Kamen Rider.
DeleteIf Tamashii Nation lineup was as diverse like it was in the past, maybe Spike will make it into D-Arts
Also what do you Think about Bandai Robot Damashii line? They are the same as SHF but with mecha, right (I don't have any of RD figs)?
DeleteTo me RS are slightly pricier substitute for HG Model kits if you are lazy to assemble them. But the Diecast variants are good value for money if you find Metal Build are too big for your preference.
DeleteOn side note, Robot Tamashii is decent investment if it doesn't have Model Kit counterpart
Deleteyeah, I wanted to get Grunt units from Code Geass and from Full Metal Panic (I am still waiting for release of those 1/60 RK-91/92 Savage model kit)
DeleteFor Rk-92 Savage, the recent Moderoid version should be quite decent.
DeleteYeah, that one.
DeleteThe old ones from a decade ago (don't rememeber who made them - maybe Kaiyodo? Alter?) are impossible to get.
There was also Robot Damashii versions of Savage and Scepter Arm Slaves.
Now I am more into Tamiya Mini4wd than mecha model kits, but still have a place in my heart for grunt suits.
