My first entry to Megaman Legend series and arguably leaves me more lasting impression as i never get to finish the game until now. Tron Bonne was a fun game but unfortunately i raised my expectation too high due to Nostalgia factor. For a time the PSX copy was a highly sought after collector item but fortunately you get this game on PSN without paying hundred bucks.
In Misadventures of Tron Bonne you play as Mad Scientist Tron Bonne who will commit misfits everywhere to raise money for her brother's ransom. Unlike Megaman Legends series, Tron Bonne is a mixed genre thrown into one game instead plain 3D action game from 3D Action to Box Puzzle to 1st Person Exploration. While it is hard for a game to juggle many genre at a time, Tron Bonne managed to integrate everything in a single package really well. However in exchange the game have rather short play time clocking at 10 Hours on average.
The main Charm in Misadventures of Tron Bonne is probably the Servbots, the mischievous servants made by Tron herself which kinda resemble Prinny from Disgaea series. Each Servbots have their own unique attributes and some have hidden skills that are unlocked once certain condition fulfilled. The Servbot Attributes can be increased through minigames or item but once the minigame reached Level 3, The minigame difficulty goes to Nintendo level difficulty. The attributes play important role when you need to chose the the main pilot for Gustav and a strong Servbot team will make the fight a breeze. You also get to torture the servbots when they get too lazy which sometimes happen when you finish a mission.
In my opinion Tron Bonne was a better game compared to both Megaman Legends since it plays the illusion of massive world better and doesn't really have too much backtracking. It is rather sad that Tron Bonne series are abandoned as Capcom pretty much neglect Megaman series nowadays. But if you are a megaman fan you should do yourself a favor and play this game.
