Final Gear Sakura Taisen Collab Units Review

The Sakura Taisen event collab on Final Gear had been going for 3 Weeks now and with one more week left before the crossover event ends, I think it is the time for me to make some coverage for the Collab Units. Sakura Taisen is easily the best collab event in Final Gear and this event turns out to be rather generous compared to GiTS and Evangelion collab for me. In this Article, i will be sharing my personal experience using the Koubus in this one of the few Mecha Gacha game.

In Sakura Taisen Final Gear Collab, you have the opportunity to obtain 6 Sakura Taisen Collab units which consists of the original Teikoku Kagekidan casts which are Sakura, Sumire, Maria, Iris, Kohran and Kanna. Out of the six collab units, Sakura and Kanna are easily the Meta defining units with Iris being Top Tier support while the rest of Teikoku Kagekidan are still decent on their own. From the Six Teikoku Kagekidan maidens, Sakura, Sumire, Maria and Kanna can only be obtained to rolling Gacha banner while Kohran and Iris served as welfare unit which the latter obtained through currency rebate.

Since i have prepared for this collab event from the get-go, i managed to obtain 5 out of 6 Collab units. In terms of the collab event, Sakura Taisen is the most similar to previous Evangelion collab event where you farmed stages which the ones with better loots are time gated and Fight Bosses for currencies that gives out the most resources. Some difference is that this There are two Characters who dropped Chip Equipments when their fondness are maxed which are Iris and Kohran, so make sure to max their fondness first. Also based from previous experience, dont spend too much of the Boss Fight tickets until the Final node is unlocked.

So first of the Collab unit is the main heroine of the series, Shinguji Sakura. Being the lead Heroine of Sakura Taisen, Sakura is really powerful Light Striker unit and easily the best unit from the collab whose potential can be comparable to UR units as she is able to reach 200k+ combat rating without much effort which are the typical peak potential for non-UR SSR units. With max Talent and Equipment, Sakura is capable of reaching 400k Combat rating. Despite being a light melee unit, Sakura's kit is very balanced in terms of Offense and Defense as she had increased survivability from her Special attack and when her health is lowered.

Long story short, if you can only pick one collab unit from this event, Sakura will never go wrong.

In Final Gear, the Teigeki Top-Star Kanzaki Sumire comes as Heavy Striker unit. While Sumire easily got overshadowed of all Collab Banner unit, she still remains as my favorite from the original Teikoku Kagekidan. In terms of her kit, Sumire skills focus on boosting her normal atacks which might have potential if her equipment stats have good Crit Stats.

The Vice Captain of Teikoku Kagekidan, Maria Tachibana serves the Light Shooter role with Debuff kit incorporated in her playstyle. Maria's High Gear is capable of stunning units which is only reserved for select few SSR Unit in this game which are mainly Sniper role. She can land powerful hits on the Units that is inflicted with her debuff which would be interesting in PVP if not for its fast paced nature.

As the youngest of Teikoku Kagekidan team, Iris Chateaubriand served as Demolisher class with support healing kit. Despite her Welfare status, Iris is easily one of the best support unit in the game and Final Gear is rather generous to hand out enough Sequences to Max talent her just by spending 15000 Crystals on the collab banner. So spending those crystals just for the best support unit is definitely worth it.

Lastly the talented Inventor and Engineer of Teikoku Kagekidan, Li Kohran served as Bomber unit in Final Gear. As welfare unit, her stats is not that good but still comparable to welfare Shinji and Batou while providing decent support kit. Kohran is capable of recharging energy which means faster High Gear activation but with her low stats, she is practically useless in PVP but still able to stand on her own for the standard missions.

Despite its many glaring flaws as a Gacha game, Final Gear did well done job for Sakura Taisen collab since it manage to satisfy the fans of this Bishoujo classic series. Early this month i had choices between spending for UR Morgan or Sakura Taisen, and my choice for the latter is definitely worth it because Sakura is pretty much a UR unit when fully raised. Personally i hope Final Gear had something in store for their 3rd year anniv so that they can survive longer and continue the collab for Sakura Taisen. I imagine if Final Gear decide for Sakura Taisen 2 continuation, Reni would easily serve as Defender Unit while Orihime is probably Demolisher or Sniper. And i still personally hoping the most for Sakura Taisen 3 collabs because the wonderful maidens from that game are severely under-represented.
