Mechatalk Final Gear: Rebeyrca - Sharp Claws [Alter]

 Valkyrie, Blitz in! At this point Final Gear's fate is pretty much sealed as the game CN and TW server had received its last update after spending months in maintenance mode. However it does not mean that Final Gear Mechatalk will stop because I still have sufficient materials to be discussed. As I have returned to normal activity after my trip to Japan, The 15th Final Gear Mechatalk will be dedicated to Rebeyrca! The tomboyish childhood friend of Blackark Captain who had meteoric rise to the game's meta when she obtained her own mech and UR Upgrade.

 So after strings of characters  with tragic background, we got somewhat normal candidate to be discussed in Final Gear Mechatalk. Rebeyrca is probably one of the earliest person that Blackark Captain, Final Gear's main protagonist acquainted with apart from Evelyn since early ages. Being the Tomboyish stereotypical childhood friend, Rebeyrca always kept you, the main protagonist in her best interest whether serving as core member of Blackark mercenary or goes on bounty hunter errand. At some point in her career as mercenary, Rebeyrca gain renown in the battlefield gaining the nickname "Valkyrie" due to her combat prowess and being a big sister figure who protects her teammate. For some reason the enormous thing that Rebeyrca carry never exactly mentioned in her in-game date who knows whether the thing is a Sniper Rifle, the beacon launcher she used in her High Gear or portable exoskeleton. Perhaps this topic was discussed through in-game storyline but Flashwing doesn't seem to put much effort for the players to read at their story so we will leave it at that.

 In Final Gear, Rebeyrca served as SR Defender Class who provide survivability and DPS buff for her teammate in her kit which really shines through once promoted to UR. In battle she pilots Sharp Claws [Alter], a heavily modified Tigershark which were Blackark's mainstay mecha unit used in the major conflict 20 years prior to the game setting when Blackark mercenary group still maintained close ties with Arita faction. Despite her role as Defender, Rebeyrca Sharp Claws unit is equipped with selection of weapons that provide versatile arsenal weapons ranging from Energy Glaive, Shoulder mounted Shotgun and Tigershark Sniper Rifle.

While Blackark faction was probably briefly discussed before in Evelyn's post, the faction did play a key role in the previous major conflict called 2nd Imperial war using their own custom mech known as Tigershark series and probably . At that time Blackark was lead by the previous captain, the main protagonist's father who was a charismatic figure that lead the mercenary group to Glorious Victory after another. I am quite sure Veronica, one of the current Blackark Core member would get her own unique mech which would be likely based from Blackark's Tigershark or even Sphyrna.

 As Defender unit, Rebeyrca with Sharp Claws is one of the most well rounded unit of her class providing balance of Survivability and Damage buff. Rebeyrca might not be the tankiest Defender unit but her kit provide many utilities that can turn the tide around whether it is PVE or PVP contents. Her High Gear Jamming Beacon is very useful to attract enemy aggros which can reverse the PVP fight if used properly which I have put into good use on the recent National war mode.

 Prior to her Unique mech and UR Kit release, Rebeyrca can be easily ignored by most players due to her low statline as SR unit. However everything changed when she got her UR which give her robust stats and enable her to release her High Gear even faster and provide Double Damage boost for the Top DPS unit in the team. This makes Rebeyrca pretty much the best Support unit in meta along with UR Snowy and Endgame PVE content will usually have the setup of 2 DPS Support, 1 Healer Support and 1 Top DPS unit which UR Rebeyrca guaranteed the slot in the team due to the value she brings into the team. 

 Among many UR Skin upgrade however, I think Rebeyrca got the short hand of the stick as she got into nonsensical fanservice as her Seifuku skirt turns into a loincloth which just don't make any sense. This is why I decided to buy her formal uniform skin that gives the Valkyrie some sense of dignity at very least

Considering I don't think I will have other opportunity to cover any Blackark affiliated character in future Final Gear mechatalk, might as well cover briefly feature the remainder core member of the Blackark team. In the main storyline and crossover, the game will usually feature the Blackark member to push the storyline which consist of Evelyn, Rebeyrca, Veronica, Kristina and Margaret as the team members. Out of the Blackark Team, Veronica is the only one who didn't have her unique mech as the game went into maintenance mode which cut off any new contents just right after Kristina got hers which is a grenade launching Motorbike. It is just a sad sight to see that any possible future of this series went into gutter for now as the Final Gear no longer have any developer team working on this game.

 Sad fate for Final Gear aside, I am glad that I got to try the meta cheese build support combo of Rebeyrca and Snowy which really enable Heroic Conflict Zone can be finished in the most efficient manner especially if you have maxed out Ruby. Personally I will still keep playing Final Gear until its imminent demise which are just series of unfortunate circumstances of this series to have incompetent management in charge of this IP.
