Mechatalk FInal Gear: Nova - Unknown

 25th Final Gear Mechatalk is here! As promised this one will be something abit more special as it features my 10th UR Upgrade unit which is given for Final Gear's Alien Hatsune Miku, Nova! I thought my last UR would have been Viola but Final Gear still managed to stay around somehow until Nova gets her Upgrade as well. By this time the most precious resources would be the Gold credit because these UR Upgrades doesn't come cheap as each of them will require 20 Million credits for full upgrade and slightly even more for SR Rarity and below.Without further ado let's see what this Alien Miku had in store for Final Gear!

 Rising from the pits of the highly contested land of Corbero, Nova is the name given by people to this mysterious Girl who possess the angel-like appearance yet exude sinister feeling as if she is sent by higher being who silently waits until the time to pass judgement upon humanity in Final Gear settings has come. Ever since her appearance, many people tried to establish contact with Nova but to no avail as she remains silent constantly gazing the world from irradiated lands of Corbero. In any case Nova is hands down the most mysterious being in Final Gear settings which remained that way since Flashwing never moved forward with her plot in the setting.

Nova is the SSR Shooter class who pilots Alien-like contraptions merely named as -Unknown- which vaguely resemble biblical six-winged seraph that shoot orb like projectiles toward the enemy from random trajectories. In her High Gear she summons bunch of Angel Soldiers for additional firepower that shoots energy orb from distance just like Arlene's demon armies.

 Back when Final Gear is still getting updates, Nova is one of the few SSRs recruitable from standard pool having the shortest recruit time of 1 Minute. However for a long time until the final update came, Her mech unit was only obtainable through Premium shop costing 1500-2500 Paid Crystals. Being one of the early SSR units, Nova got plenty of skins which hinted that she is able to alter her physical age at will apart from her default appearance of young teen.

Given her angelic aesthetics, Nova would have made a good Raid boss for High End challenge with her Angel minions riding the -Unknown- units in their basic form tagging along. This would have made a very good Co-op Event material as players working with each other to fight the endless hordes of Angel armies on their way to destroy the world. Flashwing perhaps had the idea at some point but just like many things that is ruined by the mismanagament, it never come to fruition.

 In terms of her kit, Nova has one notable gimmick of able to stack Damage Bonus multipliers by sacrificing her health point which can take signficant chunk if not accompanied with any healers. However due to her old stats modifier, Nova can't really put this skill into good use when pitted against Top DPS like Ruby. But when maxed out, Nova can still put up some good fight in PVP if she is allowed to build up some momentum.

 Another unique selling point of Nova is she is one of the two Mid-Range units in Final Gear who can still have her projectiles hit the enemies even if not in direct line with them and unlike Snowy, she can put this ability into good use in PVP.    

 Nova's UR Skill is quite solid and could have been better if not for Nova's base stats, Basically her UR kit grants her one-time Revive ability with 30% Health rebate and some Damage boost along with Movement speed bonus which would make her a good main unit to control during PVP mode specializing in Hit&Run tactics against enemy Glass Cannons. If her DPS could have reached 100 million, Nova would have seen plenty of use in PVP mode when Final Gear is still somewhat alive.

While Nova's SSR and UR Sprite look closely similar, there are some notable difference

 Overall I am quite grateful that Final Gear is still alive somehow to allow me the time to max up Nova and had her reach UR stats, preparing for the best possible condition of her Mechatalk Article. While just like many things, Final Gear never put Nova into good use, but there will be always an opportunity for her to fulfill the role of Boogeyman if Final Gear ever got a revival.
