Gundam Converge EX-26 RX-80PR Pale Rider Review
The Blue Destiny Cousin make its debut!
By this time i don't really collect Gundam Converge anymore since i find Gundam Ensemble to be more favorable and even i haven't even made review for the Gundam Converge 13. Nevertheless Pale Rider was an exception as it was able to make strong impression on me during playthrough in Gundam Genesis. This Mobile Suit played a significant role in Missing Link Chapter where it serve as a very powerful adversary easily beating the pre-deployed units due to its high evasion and crit status.
RX-80 PR Pale Rider is a Top Secret EFSF Experimental Mobile Suit which was designed as a High Performance Mobile Suit. This MS is equipped with a system similar to Blue Destiny's EXAM system called HADES which greatly enhance the performance of the Mobile Suit. As for the armaments it is equipped with High End weapons EFSF could provide which are similar to RX-78 Gundam series and the Ground Type Variant which allow sustained firepower in the combat situation. For the Converge Variant, you get the weapon parts for the Ground Type and Space Type Heavy Equipment. Pale Rider got 180mm Cannon as additional weapon while Space type have 100mm Gatling Gun. Personally i had fondness on Pale Rider due to its versatility in armaments
This MS play a significant role in Gundam Missing Link on PS3 where it is constantly hounding a Zeon Task Force named Marchosias Squad. I don't really know the detail since i only know the series from SD Gundam Genesis but in the game it has even more powerful form named Todesritter.
RX80-PR Pale Rider Ground Type
RX80-PR Pale Rider Space Type
Personally i had fondness over Pale Rider because it is an Elite Grunt MS with plethora of armaments which i am a sucker for this type apart from the armor purging ones. Actually the Converge Pale Rider had the P-Bandai version which had the visor colored in red instead to replicate the Hades System effect but the regular version is sufficient for me. I won't mind to double dip for Gundam Ensemble version which had a good shot consider Gundam 7th had one recently.

Converge has come a long way and getting sophisticated. I didn’t start this line but I’m a big GM fan. I settled for the kit instead. Pale Rider sure is a niche piece.
ReplyDeleteConverge has been overshadowed by its Ensemble cousin lately. Pale Rider got some P-Bandai 1/144 but i would only still settle for a MG
