Bandai 1/12 Ultramarine Primaris Space Marine
Warhammer 40k Action Figure has been non-existent for a long time already but a partnership between Games Workshop and Bandai appear to make it possible! This is not the first time Geedubs took a partnership with Japanese Company to make their products, as Max Factory made some Space Marine minis back then, but this is a step up by this British based Hobby Company. Few Months ago we have seen a prototype of Space Marine Action figure in one of Bandai's Hobby exhibition and now we got to see the finished product which turn out looking great!
The Space Marine Action Figure will be 20 cm tall or roughly 1/12 scale sporting Ultramarine chapter color scheme equipped with the standard issued tactical marine equipment. This is kinda expected considering Ultrasmurfs had been the 40k Poster Boy for a long time already. I suppose they choose the Primaris version of the Space Marine to promote 40k new products considering they play a great role in the recent continuation for the series. There are no price tag at the moment but i heard rumors that the SRP will be around 10k Yen and will be part of P-Bandai which no doubt will inflate the price even further. If i may guess the P-Bandai treatment has to do with Geedubs because they already have track records for protecting their wargaming miniature market which could translate in hampering the sales of figure products made by partner company as legally as possible.
If this product sell well, i think we are going to see more color scheme of the space marine or even Units from other factions preferrably Tau or Eldar. Bandai and Geedubs took the high road for the new 40k Action Figure but i still hope the best for the product because 40k Action Figure has been untapped well of potentials for a long time already.
