Sengoku Rance Uesugi Kenshin IF Route clear!

Took me three months, but I finally managed to settle my old debt with Sengoku Rance by clearing Uesugi Kenshin's route at long last! In Sengoku Rance Kenshin is known to be very strong frontline unit but her passive skill is what makes her pretty much one the most overpowered unit in the game.  Being a peerless Female Samurai when it comes to Strength and Beauty, Kenshin is practically the postergirl of Sengoku Rance and at some point even on par with Saber from Fate series. Such masterfully crafted character no doubt deserved her own route and Alicesoft delivered really well for Kenshin's story

In Ranceverse, Uesugi Kenshin is the Daimyo of Uesugi clan in JAPAN and one of the best swordsman in the land during 4th Warring States period. Surprisingly for a person of her position, Kenshin harbors no ambition and dedicate herself to protect the weak which is why she lend help for weaker clan to fend off invasions. She is the main reason why Takeda Clan, the strongest contender for JAPAN unifier failed to expand their territory.

When Kenshin met Rance for the first time in a battle where she easily overwhelmed Rance, but soon had a love at first sight with the brutish warrior after being charmed with his manly features. Once Kenshin joined Oda House for Rance, she decide to embrace her love for Rance and declared her feelings to him. Being the guy who usually chase after girls, Kenshin's confession makes Rance felt awkward making him run away from her. But in the end Rance being the manly hero he is, he reciprocated Kenshin's love and making her one of his women.

In Kenshin's route, Rance found himself involved in Emperor Race as Kenshin become the participant with the ownership of Emperor Sword, one of the three Sacred Treasure of JAPAN. In the Emperor Race, Kenshin need to fight other participants who are strong warrior at their own right to become Emperor of JAPAN before Dark Lord Xavier wins the race and gain Emperor's power for his dark ends.

In this playthrough i played with 2* difficulty which makes things unnecessarily difficult because the unit stacks gets rather ridiculous with some Commanders had over 5000 units. Without good commanders, some battles are practically unwinnable with the crazy amount of Tarpits. Due to the unexpected difficulty compared to 1*, my attempt to fend off Takeda Blitz failed this time which makes the attempt to unlock Takeda clan delayed until next playthrough.

The main key in Kenshin's route is to at least conquer/have close access to 5 provinces that the 5 participants are located. You are racing against time in Emperor Race as you need to raise Kenshin's level back fast and defeat the constestants before Xavier kills them. In this playthrough I defeated Yuzumi/Okita/Baba and 2 random Samurais which are the easiest option save for Baba. However everything will become a breeze once Kenshin wins the Emperor Race as you are able to directly annex Provinces and Kenshin's passive ability even gets more overpowered.

I think overall Kenshin's route is the most lighthearted route out of all Sengoku Rance's route with less tragedy for the main characters and it is the only route where Oda Nobunaga actually managed to survive. I liked Yamamoto Isoroku the most for the main heroine but her route is way too tragic because Kouhime died gruesome death and Isoroku got crippled so Kenshin's route is a good change of vibe overall

With Kenshin's route cleared my long debt that i owed Sengoku Rance is settled, because not finishing the route dedicated for the most popular heroine of Sengoku Rance doesn't do justice for this game. I am planning for Nanjou Ran's Route next though it is not in great priority yet but i will try my best to unlock Masamune and Takeda this time for good. Lastly nothing shackles me from doing review for Sengoku Rance figure which i will try to pull it off soon.
