30 Minutes Mission usually flies under my radar, especially since its JRPG fantasy counterpart, 30 Minutes Fantasy, caught my attention instead. The line focuses on original mecha model kits, almost reminiscent of designs you would expect from a long-running original game series like Border Break. It’s a flexible, modular lineup that has quietly sustained itself for years.
The latest design that grabbed my attention is Xenovalt, scheduled for a July 2026 release at 2,200 Yen. What immediately stood out is its aesthetic, which feels heavily inspired by Armored Core mecha—particularly AC04 Alicia Unsung. Given that Bandai has previously handled Armored Core VI model kits, it’s not surprising to see some of that design sensibility carried over here. Xenovalt almost feels like an “Armored Core lite” entry within the 30MM ecosystem.
The kit comes with a fairly standard loadout: a rifle, a melee blade, and a railgun that can be mounted as a back weapon. For a relatively affordable price point, that’s a solid offering. If there are no copyright complications, I can easily see this design direction continuing. There’s clearly demand for more accessible, customizable mecha that channel the Armored Core aesthetic without the premium price tag.
