Yami starting Azur Lane

Looks like i am digging myself deeper in Gacha Hell as i put my hands on to Azur Lane. By this time I suppose even Arknights is insufficient to quell my Gacha Fix and soon curiosity get the better of me with the Beautiful Shipfus that Azur Lane had to offer. Arpeggio of Blue was the pioneer of this particular niche of Antromorphized Ships Girls which were later popularised by Kancolle. However i think Azur Lane is the one that was truly able to capitalise the Ship Waifus successfully on global scale.

No matter how the Japanese try to gloss it over, Kancolle will still appear as glorified attempt to whitewash their WW2 Warcrime to non Japanese considering the IJN ships are the the main focus of the series. Thus the Chinese Game Publisher, Yostar able to make use of the opportunity with their Azur Lane as the game offers more balanced approach by having the WW2 Shipgirls divided into 4 Main Factions instead of focusing solely on Japan's Navy only. This method certainly works better to appeal non Japanese customer base. In terms of Aesthetics, Azur Lane's designs are more over the top compared to Real Military approach by Kancolle but some of the Ship Waifu designs are drop dead gorgeous and definitely Top Tier Quality.

Atago nee-chan don't be so thirsty, we have just met for few days only
While i am quite late to scene of Azur Lane, this game is certainly generous for New Players. With the SSR rate of 8% you wouldn't need to resort saving the Gacha Currency for months to get a single SSR. This strategy certainly works really well for General anime fandom as FGO rates are too abysmal for the demographics to commit for long term. I have just played Azur Lane for three days and got 6 SSR ships already which Atago is one of them and she happens to be one of the main reason i am attracted to Azurlane. In terms of Gameplay, Azurlane is like a bullet hell game with Gacha mechanics and it is surprisingly fun. In this department, Azurlane wins over FGO as the outdated gameplay mechanics of the latter makes it pretty much a glorified waifu collecting game. But from what i know, the equipment grind in Azurlane is quite notorious so i will probably stumble upon this roadblock soon or later.

The only catch is that Azurlane fully catered to Male Demographics due to sheer amount of oversexualization that this game had which is why Arknight was made to address this issue. Whether it is well endowed ladies or underage loli, Azur Lane had it in spades and plenty to choose from depending on your personal fetish.

In terms of overall quality FGO still reigns undisputable at the top of gacha world with its sheer production value. But if you only look for Waifus then Azurlane is more than enough. I am not too sure how long Azur Lane will last for me but this game is a showcase that China had what it takes able to break Japan's monopoly of Anime Market and seize a sizable portion for their own.
