Mechatalk Final Gear: Aya Kujou - The Ronin

One more week before the moment of truth, whether Final Gear Global server receive the final update or disappear into oblivion quietly. 16th Final Gear mechatalk has come and it is the perfect Samurai Lady, Aya Kujou who make it this time. Glad I am not rushing this one as I grinded Aya's mecha unit properly, taking 3 weeks worth of Grinding for the 4 Substats complete set and then make it in time to obtain her UR upgrade. It was a hassle to grind for a dying game but the end result totally worth for the Final Gear's Yamato Nadeshiko.

Born from prominent Kujou Samurai Clan, since birth Aya has been expected to be the perfect Lady from a samurai clan excelling in both Arts and Martial pursuit. Despite a master swordsman, Aya Kujou is deep down a feminine girl whose interest lies in Flower arranging and Tea ceremony making her the textbook perfect Yamato Nadeshiko representation in Final Gear.

Having mastered everything taught to her and gaining admiration from the people around her, Aya still felt something missing in her life. Upon reaching adulthood she decided to set forth on a journey which she end up joining the famed Choice tournament in Kegha Empire. Aya won the tournament effortlessly with her ability which she is rewarded to serve as Queen Lilian's personal bodyguard. While Aya had a mixed feeling with this prestigious position as deep down she yearns to travel around the world to find a worthy opponent, she resigns to her fate and served Queen Lilian faithfully nevertheless. No doubt this bodyguard task is no easy challenge after all considering Aya will have to fight against powerful individuals aiming for Queen's life including Favia, the Dark Star Witch.

In Final Gear, Aya Kujou is an SSR Heavy Striker unit piloting a Samurai Mech called the Ronin. Despite being an accomplished swordsman, Aya rely mostly on a pair of Blades on Ronin's back which seem to operate independently like Funnel, cutting through the enemies and only relying on Ronin's main sword; Uchigatana to finish off or deal heavy damage through Iai Slash. Aya's Ronin is truly cool Samurai mech and one of the 4 Japanese themed mecha in Final Gear apart from Rin Kamiuezono Fallen God Samurai and 2 other Ninja mechs.

In terms of relationship, Aya probably have close ties with Queen Lilian being her personal bodyguard afterall serving as the loyal retainer like traditional samurai fashion. However Aya herself probably felt isolated with her duty in Kegha being separated a long distance from her homeland and family. But at very least she is in good relation with Taysia, a Kegha fencer noblelady as they fought together against Favia at some point. Apparently based from Rin Kamiuezono's lore, Aya and Rin had crossed blades before which result in Aya's loss and who knows the two will meet each other again to settle their scores.

Being one of the earliest available character in Final Gear, Aya Kujou was given special treatment by  Final Gear devs, having plenty of paid skins to choose with including drop dead gorgeous Summer Skin that brings out Aya's bountiful feminine charm and one of the best contender for best Summer Skin along with Eloise and Imperia. Seriously in terms of Lore, Kegha is probably had some of the most corrupt and evil character in the settings but they still have the best Waifus to choose from among the main factions.

As a heavy striker unit, Aya Kujou base stats as SSR unit might be rather lacking but she hits hard and capable of staggering most units especially light and medium armor. Her kit mainly relies on stacking her Crit rate and Damage which in turn will add another Damage Multiplier bonus whenever she lands Critical Hit. For 1-on-1 PVP duel, Aya might be a Top Contender in the meta if she is able to Stunlock her enemy with her high knockback stats. In terms of DPS, Aya Kujou is quite good for older unit being one of the few striker that can match against Renata when fully upgraded.

Being one of the earliest Final Gear pilot to be have her UR Upgrade, Aya Kujou UR Upgrade is really good actually making her one of the hardest hitter before newer update like Ruby and Zero made their appearance. Aya's UR Skill gives her the ability to Ignore Armor which grants her the complete samurai package archetype which are usually depicted to possess high Crit Stats and Ignore armor ability in most RPG games.

Unfortunately despite having Good UR Kit and Gorgeous skin, UR Aya Kujou unfortunately having one glaring flaw which render her Voice clips muted in UR Skin due to the scandal that her Seiyuu Ai Kayano had with China. Whats more even depressing is that Aya is supposed to be the next pilot after Taysia to have her UR kit reworked if not for the maintenance mode announcement. If Final Gear is not in this sorry state, Aya's DPS may have surpassed hundred million DPS cap which she totally deserves for one.

It has been quite sometime that the Final Gear Mechatalk feature Pilots that have oath skin and Aya is another top contender to be the best in this category with her unique Japanese Aesthetics and exclusive background as a bonus. Personally I think either Aya or Murasaki had the best Oath skin in Final gear ignoring the UR Waifus though Aya probably had the advantage for having unique Background CG for in-game main lobby.

Overall Aya Kujou is definitely one of the Top Final Gear waifu that deserves to be main candidate in Final Gear Mechatalk article series. I am very glad that I was able to avoid the same mistake I had with my Older units and thoroughly farmed her 4 Substats parts so she can reach her highest possible BP potential. On average UR Aya BP will stick around 380k if her parts only have 3 Substats while mine sits on 450k though UR Aya can still easily reach 480-500k BP Cap if her stats is minmaxed. In any Final Gear Mechatalk series can conclude comfortably at this point if the Game will close down by next week. However if Final Gear still lives another day by next Thursday, this series will continue featuring some collab units after Arlene.
