Switch Konosuba 2nd VN: Darkness Ending

 4th Konosuba 2nd VN Heroine Route is here and we are already halfway through this VN route series! Now the 2nd Main Heroine of Kazuma's Party, Darkness is the one being featured this time. Compared to the 1st VN, Darkness Route is actually one of the best this time with generous amount of good fanservice from this Masochist Crusader. Seriously this one's gap-moe fanservice from Darkness is quite Top Tier because for once we got to see more wide variety of Darkness personality instead of her typical Masochist behavior who got easily turned on from any slight sadistic action directed toward her.

 Darkness has been Kazuma's core party member since Konosuba 1st season as a Crusader who boast strong endurance and defensive power to protect her teammates. Despite the invaluable ability she brings to her Party, Darkness for some reason had a masochist personality who take pleasure when she is the receiving end for any Sadistic actions to the extent her Masochistic fantasy can get out of control at times that she misuse her Crusader tankiness. Despite her glaring flaws, Darkness is still a pure maiden at heart and Darkness would have been the perfect noblelady who can captures Kazuma's Heart without that strange quirk of hers. But then it won't be Konosuba if it is not a fantasy adventure of a group of dysfunctional party. In any case this second VN shown a good glimpse of Darkness personality could look like if her Masochist switch got turned off..

 So in this Dress-up-Darling edition of Konosuba, Darkness wide variety of clothes made from the Stone Tablet artifact by Kazuma which often make Darkness felt to be put into embarassing situation. Not all of them are exactly skimpy clothing and some are actually quite exquisite like the Noblelady Dress. In any case Darkness often had to roleplay when she put on some of the outfit which makes her personality differ from usual and my favorite one is the one where she plays as Possessive jealous girlfriend who wants to make Kazuma belong to her only. To be honest Konosuba game could use more Darkness wearing her casual clothing which really looks good on her. As usual Darkness always enjoying herself getting verbally abused by Kazuma and at some point having to endure being called her Lalatina name by other people in the city for a certain period of time.

 As one of the main Heroine, Darkness got one of the main story dress that changes the wearer's personality completely and she is the one first one to get. Basically Darkness turns to a Sadist BDSM getup which kinda befits her nobility background quite well and Kazuma ends up to be the receiving end of her whip. However once the personality change effect wears off, Darkness ends up extremely embarassed as she realized what she have done.

 If Darkness affection is high enough before the main story end, once after Kazuma's party resolved the Black Tablet incident Darkness strongly requested to take a particular quest. Apparently this quest requires to defeat a Slime monster, something that Kazuma's party rarely faced before. However Darkness masochist tendency got the better of her this time as she revealed her Ulterior motive is to savor the sensation of being swallowed by a Slime. If it is an R-18, VN Darkness would have regretted her decision but fortunately it is a Konosuba series.

 Long Story short Darkness is unable to break free from the Slime but the Slime level is too weak to melt Darkness Armor. However Darkness spent too much time indulging her perverted whims, being swallowed Slime that it went berserk when Yunyun shoot her magic and the Slime end up chasing after Kazuma which end up violating him, traumatizing him in the process.

 In this second VN, Darkness Final Outfit is hands down one of the best when it comes to straight fanservice. Upon returning home at night, Kazuma locked himself into his room crying pathetically after the PTSD with his experience with the Slime Quest still lingering on. Darkness requested Kazuma permission to enter his room to apologize which Kazuma reacts angrily at first, but relents as Darkness tells Kazuma as she had something that she doesn't want Aqua and Megumin see. 

Turns out Darkness is wearing the skimpy Bikini Armor made by from the Black Tablet last power as way to apologize to Kazuma and willing to listen to any of Kazuma's wish at that night. Seriously Kazuma could have raised Darkness affection flag drastically and something would have happened if Kazuma played his card in right order. However being the Hikineet as usual, Kazuma only makes fun of Darkness that night and things return to normal again. Getting the main heroine treatment Darkness got 2 endings which are Solid fanservice either way.

 In the normal ending, after dismissing rumor about Darkness wearing Bikini Armor, Kazuma found out that Aqua is the culprit behind the shenanigans which is one of her many mischief in this game. Upon returning to his room, Kazuma found that Darkness in his room to confront him about this issue as well thinking that the rumor is the works of Kazuma to get her embarassed. Though Darkness gets a bit way too close and intimate to Kazuma due to being overexcited before the latter able to explain things out. Nevertheless being the ever masochist, Darkness do actually rather enjoy this turn out of event. 

 Darkness route Good Ending is definitely a straight and solid fanservice. Upon returning early to home after discussing Darkness recent strange behavior of skipping meals with Aqua and Megumin, Kazuma found Darkness unconscious in the bathroom and tried to wake her up. Half-Conscius, Darkness explains that she skipped on meals after finding out her figure after wearing the bikini armor and not satisfied with it. However Darkness being a maiden at heart found herself flustered when he see Kazuma and things exacerbated when Aqua and Megumin discovered Kazuma and Darkness in this awkward situation. Thinking for the worst, Aqua then threatens to call Sena to arrest Darkness which Kazuma retorts and ask Darkness to help straighten things out only the latter went unconscious.

 Konosuba 2nd VN really redeem Darkness from the 1st VN neglected status, among the Main Heroines, Darkness route is easily the best in this game even surpassing Megumin. Darkness would have been the MVP if not Yunyun seized the first place with the shenanigans in her route. Compared to Aqua or Megumin, Darkness perhaps one of the best life partner candidate for Kazuma with her having the best potential of Maternal quality, if only not for her being masochist.
