Mechatalk Final Gear: Sumora - Steel Fortress

 40th Final Gear Mechatalk is here! Nothing as fancy as the previous one but an appropriate option as the closure for Hexel Faction. The possible third last Final Gear Mechatalk Features the Head of Designers Family, Sumora! This lady pretty much held the responsibility of keeping Hexel Faction Military Machine going under the guidance of Steel Witch Noctris. Despite the pacifist nature, you will encounter plenty of her creations in Final Gear as opponents.

 As the head of Designer's Family, one of the prominent 4 Family Syndicates that held significant power in Hexel Nation. While being proficient in Combat herself, Sumora true talents lies in Mecha Production. Sumora is responsible for the creations of the bulk of Hexel Military Weapons and responsible in making Custom Made Mechas for Prominent Hexel Elites including Patti and Cynthia. Being a survivor of the Hexel Civil War, Sumora really loathes conflict but deep down realize that her creation of war machine is necessary as the world of Final Gear is where "Might makes Right".

In Final Gear, Sumora is an SSR Defender and one of the early available option for Starter Players though her mecha was not available to obtain for free on the get go. In battle, Sumora pilots a massive jet black mecha called Steel Fortress which is a very tanky unit and literally resemble Warhammer 40k Warlord Titan complete with the Void Shield. Unfortunately her character is one of the many unfinished affair of Final Gear.

 As the head of Designers Family, given her talent in Mech related stuff, Sumora had a highly functional of prosthetic replacement for her Right Arm. It appears that plenty if not the most of Designer Family Member had similarities of having Prosthetics like Opal for one of her leg implying that most of the members of Designer Family were victims of war at some point which explain the Pacifist Nature of Sumora. Even so, Sumora put her talent into good use by making rugged and reliable Warmachines such as Leadrain and Desert Gale which can be seen many of them roaming around Delta and Hexel Region. In her duty of contributing to Hexel's War Effort, Sumora work closely with the Witch Matriarch Chilino and Noctris and probably had a hand in creating the Hexel's Godzilla Superweapon.

 Being one of the early SSR Unit, Sumora doesn't have much going for her but her kit supposed to make her to be one of the most tanky unit in Final Gear specializing in defending against ranged bombardments with her giant Energy Shield which is pretty much 40k Void Shield. Sumora is yet another prime example of Final Gear's mismanagement of assets as her kits is really outdated by the last iteration of Final Gear. She would have easily gotten her UR Kit had Chilino made it with her Unique mech.

 Not particularly flashy Final Gear Mechatalk this time but an old debt settled nonetheless for Sumora is my first picked SSR despite It will take another year for her to be with her Steel Fortress Mecha. An unfortunate waste of her potential despite having a very cool looking mech and lets see if she can be redeemed if Final Gear ever got a second chance.
