Goddess of Victory: Nikke

After resisting the temptation for more than 2 years, I finally give in and decide to give Nikke a try! Of all available timing, I picked my entrance toward one of the heavily marketed Gacha Game right after Evangelion collab. After giving this game a try for almost 3 weeks, as expected Nikke is one of those Gacha game that totally cater to Male Audience with their liberal amount of 2D waifus with their perfect "assets". Shift-Up the dev of this game really goes all-in and perfects the craft of Waifu fanservice as Nikke never run short of Waifus with unrealistic perfect bodies. This game definitely will draw ire from the female audience but the Devs really know what they are doing.

As a Gacha game, Nikke is no doubt one of those with Solid overall production value even it heavily skewed at a particular department. Given its particular selling point that the game had, the Target audience that Nikke tried to cater is no doubt similar to Azur Lane despite the game direction is more similar to Girls Frontline. Sharing the apocalyptic setting, overall Nikke is pretty much a rendition of Girls Frontline with more Arcade style gameplay considering this game also Beautiful female cyborgs called Nikkes which served the similar function with T-Dolls.

In terms of Gacha, Nikke is right about the mid level with 4% SSR rate which is better than Genshin or FGO and definitely above the abomination known as Tacticus. On top of that Nikke has collectible Fragment resources that give random SSRs once accumulated in the Qty of 50 and still obtainable from weekly grind. Taking the similar approach with other Korean Gacha games however, the SSRs are the only units worth the investment of resources. As for the paid option, Nikke fall on more expensive side demanding over 20 USD for Skin Battlepass and Gacha currency for GSSR. Lastly, Nikke is quite stingy when it comes to daily Gacha Currency drop rate which full daily grind in a month will net you barely enough for 10 Pull but the amount is not any worse than Genshin and there are still compensations from other perks.

All in all after giving it a trial for almost 3 Weeks, I have concluded Nikke is not exactly my cup of tea. To begin with, I came into Nikke out of curiosity for Evangelion collab which I missed and the Gorgeous 2D waifus are not particularly effective on me since they mainly push on the Bouncy Booty shooter fanservice. Don't get me wrong though, Nikke got some really Top Tier waifu designs like D: Killer Wife or Scarlet Black Shadow. However the Nikke have some serious Inconsistency designs when in relation to the Post Apocalyptic setting that the Game tried to sell. I decide to give Nikke a try for its Mecha Musume, not some random High School delinquent girls slapped with Combat Cyborg label.

But since Nikke generous enough to give my Max Ascended D: Killer Wife, for now I will just stick around until the 2nd Anniversary to continue this game or not. At very least the daily grind for Nikke is quite convenient unlike Genshin so the process is quite bearable for now. To close this article, I am just sharing some of my recent haul including my first SSR, D: Killer Wife
