Fate/Grand Order Babylonia Absolute Demonic Front Anime
The most anticipated Fate Anime of the year finally came to a wrap with its 21st episode and it certainly ended with a bang! FGO Babylonia was hyped back then because it was based on one of the best Singularity in FGO first arc and this one actually lived up to expectation. Overall FGO Babylonia Anime a solid anime with only slight hiccups mainly related with poor choice of staff due to cronyism. The Top Tier animation quality is definitely the selling point of FGO Babylonia considering the it has the backing of Salt Mine-fueled Unlimited Budget Works.
Compared to the game's original script, FGO Babylon might not be 100% faithful adaptation. But at very least FGO Babylon anime at very least nailed down the most important part of FGO Babylon, The Epic scale final showdown where the Chaldea Master will need to face Beast of Humanity Tiamat as a closure of the 7th Singularity. In the FGO Game. Tiamat's fight is still one of the best Final Boss fight as Top Rank servants backs you against one of the worst enemy of humanity. The only gripe that i had with the anime adaptation is that the quality of 20th Episode is somewhat watered down due probably to the budget was already used up for 18th and 19th as King Hassan didn't have enough screentime for the episode.
FGO Babylonia anime will not disappoint as fanservice for FGO Fans, in particular Rin and Gilgamesh fans. Throughout Fate/Stay Night series Gilgamesh may be portrayed as arrogant antagonist, but FGO Babylon gave an opportunity for the King of Heroes to play his rightful role as the main hero for once. As for Rin's fan you will be treated with healthy dose of fanservice through Ishtar and Ereshkigal which will make you get tempted to roll for these twin goddess if you haven't had one.
It is for certain that FGO Babylonia is a huge success which no doubt will boost Fate/Grand Order franchise prestige. If it were not for the recent plague, i think the sales for FGO Babylon related Merchandise would have been great too. FGO Babylonia quality is easily on the same level with Ufotable's FSN series leaving Last Encore and Apocrypha far behind. In the end I am quite satisfied with FGO Babylon anime and will look forward to Camelot Movie. But to be honest FGO Game could have used some singularity related raid event as a part of FGO Babylon anime collaboration but hopefully we will have something similar for the Camelot Movie. For Camelot Movie i will look forward the most for Arash final moment and King Hassan standoff with Gawain. Finally for the FGO game itself, i might need to consider to save some SQ for Gilgamesh Banner this September.
