Megaman X Hiya Toys 1/12 Falcon Armor X
What makes Hiyatoys’ Falcon Armor particularly special is that it is based on the Megaman X6 version and comes with the Z-Saber. Many recent figures of X’s Falcon Armor are based on the X5 design, but Hiyatoys took a different approach, showing that they truly understand the IP they are working with and certainly deserve attention for it.
Falcon Armor itself holds a unique place in the Megaman X series because apart from its sleek design, it is the armor that granted X the greatest freedom of movement. With its additional wings, X can fly long distances, avoid hazards, and even deal minor damage to enemies on collision thanks to the flight barrier. It’s a shame that X6 nerfed this ability, portraying the armor as battle-damaged, but visually it remains one of the most iconic armors in X’s arsenal.
I’ve always had a personal attachment to Falcon Armor, ever since owning Bandai’s early 2000s toy rendition. It left a lasting impression on me, and it may even become a subject for a future post in my Vintage Toys series.

March 2026 Loot
Relatively modest, but still a sumptuous haul this month! While the overall net value might be a bit lower than previous months, this batch is packed with bargains. Most of the loot consists of brick models and model kits, with a few filler items scattered throughout.
The highlight of this month’s haul is no doubt Berserk's Figma Skull Night, easily surpassing the value of much of the rest of the batch by more than tenfold. Following closely are the Hexagear V-Thors variant in second place and Moderoid Arklaud rounding out the top three.
The brick model section is especially diverse this time. I managed to pick up a promising playset from the Bebe series by Top Toy, along with some Wekki Shop playsets. Against my own resolution, I couldn’t resist to obtain some few new additions for Super Mecha Champions Qbricks, seems I’m still attached to the SMC series after all. I also finally added some F5 Brick models to my collection, featuring mini transformable military vehicle mecha. While I had the chance to grab the Four Divine Beast brick models, I’ve decided to reserve those for another time.
Lastly, I scored some Treasure X items at an incredible rate—80% off, which is practically a steal! I’m still hoping to snag the larger Treasure X playset in the near future.
All in all, this month’s haul is solid, and I expect next month’s loot to lean even more toward the heavyweight collectibles. Still, this batch delivers plenty of variety and value to enjoy.

Megaman X 1/12 Sigma Model Kit
Don’t be misled by the scale: Sigma easily reaches over 20 cm tall, making him an impressively towering figure. That kind of size suits an archvillain well. After all, his defining trait is not just persistence, but an uncanny ability to resist death. Kotobukiya’s version recreates Sigma’s Mega Man X1 appearance, complete with his cape and beam saber.
Before becoming the iconic villain he is known for, Sigma was a charismatic Maverick Hunter leader who took X under his care. His fate took a dramatic turn after he was infected by a virus during his encounter with a berserk Zero, ultimately becoming the leader of the Mavericks.
Looking back, Sigma’s story reminds me of Warhammer 40K’s Horus Lupercal. Both characters are charismatic leaders who embody humanity’s hope, only to fall into tragic corruption and become symbols of absolute evil. Given several loose similarities, I wouldn’t be surprised if Capcom’s development team drew inspiration from Warhammer 40K during Mega Man X’s inception. And, perhaps it’s no coincidence that X and the Ultramarinesbecame the iconic poster figures of their respective series for being blue.

Megaman X Hiyatoys 1/12 Zero
Not long after the legendary Maverick Hunter X, Hiyatoys is now ready to release X’s red swordsman buddy, Zero! While this one may take a while to be released, the wait certainly worth it! Scheduled for Q1 2027, Hiyatoys 1/12 Zero will be sold for 66 USD Price tag.
It has been around 15 years since we get any physical rendition for Zero in action figure format. While we do have Kotobukiya’s rendition as plastic model, action figure is certainly preferable for those who lack free time and the last one we got was Bandai’s D-Arts which are extremely rare these days and not exactly cheap in after-market.
Overall Hiyatoys did nail the fundamental loadout of the legendary red maverick hunter and articulation should be quite decent as well. One minor nitpick would be lack of thumbs up hand parts for Zero’s iconic victory pose. While I won’t be getting the basic X, Zero is certainly something not to be missed since he is very memorable with his basic red armor. Hopefully Hiyatoys Falcon Armor won’t take as long since I could see they are able to gain momentum with Megaman X IP.

Megaman X Kotobukiya 1/12 Iris Model Kit
Kotobukiya Megaman X have survived long enough until they deem to be ready for this point. I think it is almost 30 years since Megaman X4 and at long last the Megaman X series waifu, Iris is released as model kit! Despite her brief appearance in X4 and Xtreme 2, Iris managed to secure a place in the hearts of Megaman X fans and in some way Kotobukiya tried to fulfill the sense of longing with releasing her plastic model kit. Scheduled for May 2026 release, Kotobukiya 1/12 Iris will be sold for 8200 Yen.
In Mega Man X4, Iris is a female Reploid who serves as Zero’s support character and gradually becomes his love interest after he saves her in a fateful encounter. Despite her gentle appearance, she is actually the sister of Colonel, one of the key commanders of the Repliforce and one of Zero’s major rivals in the game. Iris’s relationship with Zero ultimately ends in tragedy: devastated by her brother’s death, she loses control, transforms into an ultimate weapon, and forces Zero to fight and ultimately defeat her.
Kotobukiya’s Iris Model kit is definitely an oasis of her character merchandise drought. Despite her relative popularity among Megaman X fandom, Iris barely get any merchandise over past 30 years. Iris was popular enough that she got several variants in now defunct Megaman X Dive gacha game but it takes almost 30 years for some sort of decent physical representation for her.
I used to take quite a liking for Iris due to being Megaman series token waifu character though over the time I preferred Iris design on Megaman Battle Network series appearing on MMBN6. Iris MMX4 design definitely didn’t age well given 30 years gap but her archetype remains appealing. With Iris being released, I wouldn’t be surprised if MMX characters like Colonel or Alia might get model kit by Kotobukiya someday.

Megaman X Hiyatoys 1/12 X
Revisiting Hiyatoys again after Ghost in the Shell and this time it is the classic Blue Bomber Megaman X! Hiyatoys appear to be onto something with their aggressive expansion as their portfolio for 1/12 Action figure grew quite fast since Motoko Kusanagi. Starting with the Classic X, Hiyatoys 1/12 Megaman X will be released for Q4 2026 with 54 USD Price tag.
Apart from Kotobukiya, It has been quite some time since Megaman X got its 1/12 Action figure treatment since Truforce. Like Truforce, this rendition of X includes LED parts for X buster with 3 levels of configuration apparently. This one definitely fills the role for essential version for X.
Apparently Hiyatoys is preparing something big for Megaman X series since they reveal some protoypes for future Megaman X lineup including Zero and Falcon armor. Looking forward how this lineup will turn out.
