Vocaloid Frame Arms Girls 1/12 Snow Miku

 

It has been around 4–5 years since Kotobukiya released Frame Arms Girl Hatsune Miku. After such a long gap, the timing feels a bit unexpected, but they’ve decided to pick up where they left off with their take on Snow Miku. Scheduled for release in August 2026, Frame Arms Girl Snow Miku will be priced at 7,700 yen.

Compared to the more recent wave of Vocaloid products for the ever-present diva, Frame Arms Girl Snow Miku may not appear particularly flashy at first glance. However, it is expected to retain the strong fundamentals that define Kotobukiya’s lineup—most notably the blend of mechanical design elements with a cute, character-focused aesthetic.

As such, it stands as a solid mid-level Vocaloid collectible, especially for those who still enjoy the process of assembling model kits. While alternatives like Blokees have delivered strong performances across much of their portfolio, they have yet to fully match the balance and identity that Kotobukiya consistently achieves with this line.

March 2026 Loot

 

Relatively modest, but still a sumptuous haul this month! While the overall net value might be a bit lower than previous months, this batch is packed with bargains. Most of the loot consists of brick models and model kits, with a few filler items scattered throughout.

The highlight of this month’s haul is no doubt Berserk's Figma Skull Night, easily surpassing the value of much of the rest of the batch by more than tenfold. Following closely are the Hexagear V-Thors variant in second place and Moderoid Arklaud rounding out the top three.

The brick model section is especially diverse this time. I managed to pick up a promising playset from the Bebe series by Top Toy, along with some Wekki Shop playsets. Against my own resolution, I couldn’t resist to obtain some few new additions for Super Mecha Champions Qbricks, seems I’m still attached to the SMC series after all. I also finally added some F5 Brick models to my collection, featuring mini transformable military vehicle mecha. While I had the chance to grab the Four Divine Beast brick models, I’ve decided to reserve those for another time.

Lastly, I scored some Treasure X items at an incredible rate—80% off, which is practically a steal! I’m still hoping to snag the larger Treasure X playset in the near future.

All in all, this month’s haul is solid, and I expect next month’s loot to lean even more toward the heavyweight collectibles. Still, this batch delivers plenty of variety and value to enjoy.

Vocaloid x Gundam Megahouse Lucrea Hatsune Miku Wing Zero EW

 
 Over past 1 year, Vocaloid have been having some close relationship with Gundam series resulting in frequent collaboration of Hatsune Miku with Gundam IP. This appears to be Bandai's attempt to reach out for younger audiences. But just like many of their botched attempts this one will end up attracting Gundam fanbase in the 30s demography. We have been getting some interesting Gundam themed miku merchandise including Banpresto Prize Figures and Bandai Gunpla, but this one by Megahouse gotta be the most expensive one yet. Using Wing Gundam series as source material we will have Hatsune Miku Scale Figure incorporating Wing Gundam aesthetics as part of Megahouse Lucrea lineup. Scheduled for June 2026 release, Lucrea Hatsune Miku Wing Zero EW will be sold for 25000 Yen.

Given that Wing Gundam got a new homage animation, this is a right time to release Wing Gundam themed Hatsune Miku figure. Being one of the Japan's Iconic pop culture for almost 2 decades, Miku have been the recipient of many Scale figure over the span of this period numbering over thousands. But Miku's collaboration with Gundam series might be a breath of fresh air.

Given some of the more popular Gundam series haven't got represented by Miku yet, we could expect some more Vocaloid x Gundam products. I wonder if other Vocaloids might have a turn in this collab considering Luka and Kagamine twins could use some.

Vocaloid Soskill Snow Miku - Frostbite

 

 A really cool Vocaloid product by Chinese manufacturers that is even eyecatching than Blokees Hatsune Miku! Created by the same Manufacturer that made B-Duck Mechas, Soskill present their Snow Miku model kit and this is no ordinary one! Dubbed as Frostbite, Soskill Snow Miku is scheduled for Q3 2025 release with 199 RMB.

Vocaloid Blokees Hatsune Miku Model Kit - Miracle Version

 After enjoying tremendous success with their Blindbox products for series like Transformers and Ultraman. Blokees deem themselves ready to make some Waifu related products starting with Vocaloid and their eternal mascot, Hatsune Miku! Released as a Model Kit dubbed Miracle version, Blokees Hatsune Miku will be sold for 169 RMB with Q4 2024 - Q1 2025 release schedule.

For a price equivalent to their Blokees Transformer Action Version, Blokees could release a Vocaloid action figure product that could give Figma counterpart a run of their money. For half of the Figma price, Blokees could come up with decent Hatsune Miku product with generous amount of accessories as she comes with plenty of musical instrument and even a concert stage as early batch bonus. Seriously, Blokees got some top talent to work on their products since their portfolios are mainly Mecha and Tokusatsu stuff yet they could come up with good Waifu products.

 If Blokees wish to go with Blindbox products, they could have field day with Miku already who comes with tons of outfits available from Project Diva games or PVC figures. Given the ovewhelming popularity of Miku compared to other Vocaloid characters, I still wonder if other Vocaloid like Kaito, Rin/Len or Meiko will be getting their turn as well, though I could see Luka have a good odds to be getting the same treatment like Miku by Blokees. I will look forward to Blokees future products for other portfolios since they are still quite eager on expanding to mainstream Japanese popular IPs like Pokemon, Saint Seiya and Detective Conan.

August - September 2024 Loot

 Last day for September and I decided to post some Loot post as a wrap up! A sumptuous banquet of loot as usual over past two months! Too bad I still don't have time and space to put these onto display thus for now I will just have them properly stored. Just like many previous batch, Chinese made products have represented the majority of the batch by this time because they can offer possibly higher value compared to the Japanese counterpart for the same price. The Top 3 loot in this batch are easily VF-Hi Metal, ACT Mode Tia and Metal Build Kainar. Considering my backlog for Model Kits have piled up quite significantly, I am getting a new nipper myself to start plowing through these piles of shame. 

I also got myself some seasonal limited event Miku Nendoroid just to support some event from my previous company early this month. Then I also get myself Lila Prize Figure from Atelier Ryza since I quite liked her character when I still played Artery Gear. Lastly I got a Construction Vehicle toy set which is actually obtained from company gift exchange, while this one is just some toys set for Kids, I think I can still use it to complement my transformers collection and could look even better with some repaint.

September 2019 Loot

 Possibly my most expensive haul in a month considering plenty of Heavy Duties included in this one. While my haul nowadays tend to deviate to Fate/Grand Order products, I do get some good mecha stuff from Demonbane and Cowboy Bebop. As usual most of these items had been highlighted in this blog before which serve some sort of wishlist that i can keep track off. The significant spike in this month's toy spending has to do with the Wonderfest Exclusive which i decided to get the Figma Maid Alter and Nendoroid Miku Snow Princess. The best of the bunch in this haul would have been the 1/7 Jalter Dress but This year's Snow Miku takes the cake because is the 1000th release by Goodsmile and the packaging is very special. Nevertheless Jalter Dress will get her review quite soon.   

Yami's Megahobby 2018 and One Hobby G Expo Highlights

 Usually the big stuffs for Japanese Toys are shown on Wonderfest but for some reason this Year's Megahobby Expo catches my attention. This event mainly focus on PVC Figures so Bandai doesn't really have presence on this one. As usual FGO dominated the product lineups and the temptations are strong with this one.

Sega SPM Figurine Hatsune Miku Innocent Review

 One of my Acquisition from AFA SG last year which i got for 20 SGD. I used to follow Vocaloid through Project Diva series but i am kinda indifferent toward it now. This is my first and only Hatsune Miku Figurine so far since i kinda liked the Song which the costume was based on.

 Miku Innocent dress is from Vocaloid Song called Acute made Kurousa-P one of the top tier Vocaloid Composer out there best known for Senbonzakura. The song is all about Love Triangle which Miku played the role of Heartbroken Maiden betrayed by her lover and best friend. The reason i bought the Innocent version of Miku is because it is one of few costume that brings the "Maiden falling in Love" quality for Miku. In terms of quality, you are getting what you are expecting from Ufo catcher-tier figure where it got decent sculpt, but the face looks derpy upon closer inspection. I doubt will get Acute version of Kaito and Luka considering i am not a big fan of Vocaloid anymore. But if i ever get another Vocaloid Figurine, i might consider the Hanairogoromo version as primary choice.

Hauls from AFA SG 2016

 Since this is my first time attending AFA i suppose i purchase too many stuffs on impulse from my shopping spree and spent like around 200 SGD in 2 Days visit. Compared to SMASH! AFA definitely have more things to purchase since they have some actual good bargains hanging around. I acquired my loots pretty evenly from Vendors, Artist Circle, Lotteries, Showbags and Freebies. From my acquisition this year i managed to get the Frame Arms Girl T-Shirt from Janken contest on Kotobukiya booth which fleets in a moment. 

 
 Spent like 65 SGD for One Figurine and 2 Nendos. Bought Miku Acute Version since i dont have any vocaloid figurine. Bought Two nendoroids from La Tendo despite never a big fan of the lineup but for $20 each it was a steal. The Two Nendoroids are Cryska from Muvluv and Mirai Suenaga from Danny Choo. Not a follower of Danny Choo but might use the props.

 Bought two showbags from AFA and glad not to buy more, While $15 for each Showbag is still acceptable the content in general are mostly unusable. I dont think even the Showbags sold by the bigger vendor worth the price tag.

As i mentioned earlier i spent quite abit on Ichiban Kuji which are some kind of paper lottery. Each tries mostly cost around $10 SGD depending on the series and Pokemon seems to be the most popular one for this year's AFA. As for me i tried Neko Atsume which i did 6 tries though my luck is not good on this one.

 From the Artist Circle all i get is Tamamo's poster and some Gundam Badges. Fortunately there is at least one Circle selling mecha stuff. While i am not a big follower of Gundam i supported the circle so that they continue their passion on mecha and perhaps they will make more stuffs other than Gundam.

From this year's shopping lesson i will probably shop smarter and might as well raise my budgets for next year's AFA.

Hatsune Miku Project Diva F

Since the PS3 version of Project Diva F is coming i am thinking to write articles about the Project Diva F on Vita. I am not particularly follower of Vocaloid though i have been playing the series since the first Project Diva on PSP.  I had to say Project Diva F is one of the best game on PSVita currently and if you like Rhythm game you may give this a try. From what i see the greatest improvement of this game is the graphic which is quite breathtaking compared to the PSP project divas and there are plenty of beautiful Modules for your Vocaloid to equip with. The game is abit different with DJ Max series but expect some challenges on Hard or Extreme mode of the songs and good luck attempting for Perfect rating. The songs on Project Diva F are quite nice though i am not that particularly fond of with most of the Miku's song compared to the previous game. Personally i think Kagamine Rin got the best overall song in Project Diva F and wished the rest of the vocaloid other than Miku got more than 2 songs. The PS3 version of F got 5 more songs though i don't think i will be interested on those but the Snow Miku is very tempting and i maybe tempted to get it which cost 300 yen. Anyway as closing this post i am listing the songs that i like in Project Diva F and here are some more screenshots from the game(still wonder Miku's Innocence haven't got any Nendos)!
