Starship Troopers Figma SP-124 Warrior Bug

 Being one of the most respected Sci-Fi series out there, Starship Troopers didn't really have many merchandise in recent times after the Verhoeven's Movie. The prototype has been around for a while, but we are finally getting an action figure for the iconic Warrior Bug in Figma Format! The Figma Warrior Bug will be released in October 2020 with 11000 yen price tag. I think the Warrior Bug Figma is around 1/24 scale and it will come with two pre-painted Mobile Infantry Marine figure with one being the short end of the stick of Warrior Bug's claw. Apparently this version of Warrior Bug is based from the Traitor of Mars Movie though the only noticable difference is the Marine Armor design compared to the movie. The Warrior Bug rendition in Figma Format no doubt looks really fierce and deadly as they are portrayed in the movie even if it is not 1/12 format which could have cost double at least. Out of the CGI series while Traitor of Mars is a terrible movie, Starship Troopers Invasion is still an enjoyable ride. Lastly I am still waiting for Mobile Infantry Marine Action Figure that comes with reasonable price.

Starship Troopers Traitor of Mars

  I do enjoy Starship Troopers Invasion even though it is not perfect, Traitor of Mars turns out to be a total letdown for me. Starship Trooper is known for Grimdark and Gritty settings and somehow this movie manage to screw it up and have the atmosphere to be out of place. For 90 Minutes length movie, Traitor of Mars doesn't use well its time slot as if the movie are bunch of stock animations stitched up together with plot that barely make any sense. It is quite evident that Traitor of Mars likely to be rushed project as the story is pure garbage along with third rate antagonist, a result well known from drafting the story on the go with the animating process. Traitor of Mars is inferior in every way compared to Invasion. 

While Invasion got some badass supporting characters like Henry Varro, Traitor of Mars have none of it. Traitor of Mars action sequence is okayish but it is mostly Johnny Rico's part and no Marauder Armor is a big minus. After watching this movie it feels like it exists solely as an appetizer for series again as the upcoming project going to be the bigger focus. If you like Starship Trooper Invasion, do not bother to watch Traitor of Mars

Starship Troopers: Traitor of Mars

 Kinda surprised that the Starship troopers going to get another CGI Movie considering Starship Troopers Invasion feels rather Lukewarm. Nothing much known about the new Movie except that it continues after the event from Starship Troopers Invasion and stars Johnny Rico as the protagonist once again. The Movie will be scheduled for release on August this year and i hope it got international release. It feels kinda weird that the sequel movie takes place on mars as the setting considering Bugs are infiltrating the earth already but i guess the new movie will give an explanation on it. By this time the Movie series are nowhere close to the Novel  but i will expect some good action and gore considering the previous did it quite well. The Starship Troopers Novel itself is a good read but mostly for its idea on society rather than the dakka action. I do hope Marauder Armor have more screentime in the new movie.

Starship Troopers Invasion

 Watched the trailer years ago since recently got somehow interested with Starship Trooper movie again, and thus i give this CGI movie a watch. At first i thought since it is CGI movie it won't be gory enough but turns out it got quite a number of dismemberments moment even though not like the first movie. Anyway you watch this movie for the actions, not for the plot and you will find plenty of dakka for the movie and unlike the previous entries which cover big wars between the human and bugs, the movie is more about skirmish caused by the incidents. The Lead of the movie is Major Varro not Rico but he is very badass, wonder how would he fare if he got that Marauder Armor he would piled up even more bugs. I am satisfied with the actions in the movie and would look forward for another CGI movie for the series. I watched the movie, OVA and now the CGI movie so i guess i will give the Novel a read too.
