Yami's Summer Wonderfest 2018 Highlight

  Twice a year, Wonderfest always bring some high class temptations for toy collectors as usual and i am doing my part to highlight objects of interest. While i find Winter Wonderfest tend to have better lineup on prototypes, i find this summer to be equally good probably had to do with my focus shift less to Mecha nowadays.

Wonderfest 2014

This year's wonderfest is not as interesting as previous years for me but at least i can always expect something from Kotobukiya. Other booths in the this year's wonderfest doesn't really pick my interest and i was hoping some MH or Dougram stuffs. From this years Wonderfest, Koto shown the non scale version of F-22 Raptor TSF which going to be the Infinities color scheme it seems. The kit will be released sometime next year but i expect it is going to be released around the same period like the EF-2000 Typhoon this year.

Also D-Style lineup got some solid addition as Kotobukiya added Votoms series to their lineup and we got the Scopedog, depending on the kit's popularity  i think we may get the fully armed version as well. SRW has been really slow this year but it seems there will be some model kit for Awakened version of Cybuster which first show up in Masoukishin 2 and  i will be looking forward to it. With this i think the other Masoukishin will have better chance to get their kits someday and i will wish Granveil will come first if it happens.  Like usual i will update this post if i find anything worth to add.

Armored Trooper Votoms Shining Heresy

After i watched the TV series of Votoms, finally i managed to finish the Shining Heresy which is the chronological sequel after the last episode of Tv series 4th season. Taking 32 years after tv series ended, Chirico awakened again after long slumber but find his lover Fyana, missing. Soon after Chirico awakened, he find himself targeted by a religious sect and seems that his destiny this time force him to face this religious sect to save his lover. I find the religious plot in the OVA is really confusing but the battle animation is superb as always(though abit scarce) and now i find out some people said the OVA is quite tragic. If you have been following the series, Shining Heresy is a must watch as it is one of the main part of Chirico's story but you had to watch the TV series at least or you will get confused with the plot. With this the only Votoms OVA left for me to watch are Mellowlink, Case Irvine and Phantom again which will conclude Chirico's tale and probably i will start with Phantom first.

1/12 Chirico Cuvie

At last i got some internet connection set up in my current staying place and thus i will resume my blogging activity. Anyway i have been interested with some Votoms figure after i watched Votoms series last year. This particular figure is Chirico Cuvie sculpted by Yamato few years ago in 2005 and meant to complement the Scope Dogs that Yamato made on the same scale. The figure quality is great for its time and the only flaw i see from this action figure is its face sculpture. Chirico Cuvie is the lead character in Votoms series who is a battle hardened AT pilot who seeks to be freed from war. Chirico is very well known for his prowess as an AT pilot and survival skill where he can get away from situations where a normal man would have died already. Unfortunately the action figure is discontinued already but i would love to buy this guy if it is ever restocked. For your interest the pilot of Alteisen in SRW OG series, Kyosuke Nanbu had his character based on Chirico.
