April - June 2020 Loot

 For over past two months i am mostly stuck at home due to the COVID lockdown but it appears that the Pandemic did little to hamper my collection. I think the pattern of my loot remains quite consistent over the past two years as the composition are mostly either Mecha or FGO. Though i am quite surprised with my devotion toward FGO series sometimes. But i think the rarest of the bunch would be Figma Tsugumori from Knight of Sidonia series which i got very cheap.

 As usual i think Candy Toys and the Prize Figure will be getting the earliest reviews since they are quite straight forward to do. I am not too proud with my productivity over these past two months which i could have put up some more Figma Reviews. However with my newly acquired lighting setup, i think the productivity should be ramped up abit. I forgot to include in this picture, but i finally got Figma Darkness fulfilling my promise to complete the Konosuba Gang in Figma format!

Knights of Sidonia ended

That was rather unexpected that the series ends this fast and the ending was rather anticlimactic but Knights of Sidonia did end the serialization with its 78th Chapter. While it was rather abrupt the ending is quite sweet and in some way Nagate did managed to meet Hoshijiro Shizuka in the end. I wonder if the serialization was intentionally cut short though the ending was an open one and could continue if Nihei wants it. Personally i find the main source driving the stories are the character interactions since Gauna is kinda like STMC and doesn't really have personality and probably Ochiai's treachery drive the story this far. I will give the anime a watch if they managed to cover up till the manga conclusion. I wonder if Nagate's last mecha will get a plamo too?

Knight of Sidonia

Another promising mecha manga that i should have read earlier. I was interested with Knight of Sidonia series when i saw a Riobot version of one of series mecha which i got my first impression from its very long cannon that surpass even Buster Launcher of KoG. Knight of Sidonia is one of those main stereotypes of the mecha series where the plots focus around the main character who is a chosen one and pilot a robot with legendary background fighting against unknown Alien races called Gauna which is equivalent to Bydo or Vajras or ELS. While Knight of Sidonia is using the typical Stereotypes of Mecha series, I find  this manga is better than most of the past examples and have quite promising future. This manga is one of the works of Nihei Tsutomu who is most well known from his Cyberpunk manga BLAME! which is why it also got some Cyberpunk influence on the manga but not as intense as the former one. There is a good chance that Knight of Sidonia would be concluded in some way involving understanding stuff which could be better than the past examples of mecha series like 00 or AGE. Anyway it is still too early to make any conclusion and i will be looking forward to the anime adaptation.
