Genshin Impact Apex Toys1/7 Raiden Shogun - Plane of Euthymia ver

Genshin Impact fans have waited a long time for this moment, but one of the game’s most popular Archons has finally received the premium scale figure treatment she deserves. Raiden Shogun arrives in full glory with a brand-new 1/7 scale figure from APEX-TOYS, featuring her iconic “Plane of Euthymia” pose as she draws the legendary Musou Isshin blade from her chest.

Personally, Raiden Shogun was one of the biggest reasons I started playing Genshin Impact in the first place, so seeing her receive such a high-quality figure release is genuinely exciting. Scheduled for January 2027, the APEX-TOYS 1/7 Raiden Shogun – Plane of Euthymia Ver. will be sold for 1499 RMB.

Genshin Impact Battle Valor Blindbox - Liyue Review

Some random Genshin merchandise I picked up around April. While I no longer fully trust Mihoyo with Genshin’s future, I’m still willing to spend on series-related merchandise that I think is genuinely worthwhile. During a random visit to a local hobby exhibition, I managed to grab a few official Genshin blind boxes.

This particular blind box series is called Battle Valor, featuring SD-style figures of Genshin characters, roughly comparable to Nendoroid Petit figures. The ones I found were from the Liyue series, and I happened to pull my personal jackpot: Ganyu! As I’ve mentioned many times before, even if I’ve grown frustrated with Mihoyo, Ganyu remains one of my favorite gacha game waifus, despite how poorly I feel she has been handled by the company.

At its recommended retail price, I personally don’t think the Genshin Battle Valor series is worth the money. However, if you can find one for around $5 USD, it’s still a pretty nice addition to a Genshin collection.

Genshin Impact Myethos 1/7 Skirk Festive Gathering PVC Figure

Despite often being overlooked, HoYoverse occasionally delivers unexpected surprises for Genshin Impact. The game’s merchandising side is usually somewhat disorganized, with even popular characters sometimes waiting years before receiving notable figures. However, out of nowhere, Skirk who debuted last year has already received a PVC figure. Produced by Myethos, the 1/7 scale figure titled “Festive Gathering” presents an alternate costume design and is scheduled for release in January 2027, priced at around 6,800 yen.

To be honest, very few Genshin Impact PVC figures fall under the 10,000 yen range, especially for highly popular characters. In that sense, Skirk’s figure is a pleasant surprise. Despite the relatively low price, the design still maintains a strong sense of elegance. She fits neatly into the same visual archetype as figures like Scáthach in her formal dress, refined, composed, and slightly distant in presence.

The last time something similar happened was with the release of the PVC figure for Citlali, and whether coincidental or not, it feels like Cryo characters are quietly receiving strong figure representation. Nevertheless, Cryo Supremacy is always welcomed!

Personally, I did obtain Skirk along with her signature weapon before eventually stepping away from Genshin Impact. While this figure is a welcome addition, it isn’t quite enough to draw me back into the game.

Genshin Impact Nendoroid Xiao

It’s hard to believe it’s already been half a year since I stepped away from Genshin. Yet the slow pace of Genshin merchandise releases continues. Four months after Nendoroid Kaeya, we now have the Yaksha General himself, Xiao! Scheduled for release in December 2026, Nendoroid Xiao is priced at 7,500 yen.

At this point, I’m honestly puzzled by HoYoverse’s continued confidence in what feels like a half-hearted approach to merchandise for one of their formerly dominant IPs. There was a time when Genshin’s popularity could justify almost anything, but goodwill from the early fanbase has clearly burnt out completely by this time. The pacing and perceived effort behind these releases don’t exactly inspire excitement.

Genshin Impact Nendoroid Kaeya

I think it has been more than 6 months since we got any Genshin Impact Nendoroid and of all available selections, we got ourselves the Cavalry Captain Kaeya as the next Nendoroid. It seems that Mihoyo still acting brazen with Genshin Impact IP despite the series definitely no longer enjoy its peak fame status and we are getting a new Nendoroid only after a lengthy period of time. Scheduled for June 2026 release, Nendoroid Kaeya will be sold for 7200 Yen Price tag.

Kaeya is 4* Cryo Sword Character who served as one of the starter unit in Genshin Impact. He is a sub DPS unit who conjured Ice spikes around him for reaction elemental damage potential, basically Cryo version of Xiangling. I still don't understand why Mihoyo decided to release Kaeya as the latest Nendoroid after Raiden Shogun with many popular characters are still waiting their turn. If Mihoyo wants monstadt character, Jean or Eula would make good candidate but it is likely had to do with Mihoyo's Hubris. For almost 5 years sticking with Genshin, I never truly like Mihoyo's attitude toward its playerbase being an arrogant entity who thinks that they are capable of getting away with their mistreatment toward their playerbase. Perhaps they think they could try sell their Genshin IP as dearly as possible but it already backfire badly with Nikke show how merchandising should be done.

I haven't touched my Genshin account for almost a month already and I might have given up on Genshin completely as I don't expect Mihoyo will truly change for better. Mihoyo try to act as if they are THE Saturn of videogame industry and they will pay dearly for it.

Honkai Star Rail x Fate Collab

This has to be one of most highlighted event in Gacha game industry since Mihoyo's announcement last year and Fate collab event for Honkai Star Rail is here! In the celebration of the event landing, I am writing this post to pay a homage to the milestones achieved by Fate series. Personally, I am not particularly fond of Mihoyo due to their treatment on Genshin Impact but it is certainly a noteworthy achievement to score a collab with Japanese IP on the level of Fate/Stay Night considering the latter are very well known to be elusive in scoring a collab. Through the Fate x HSR collab event, we got ourselves Saber Artoria and Archer Emiya as playable characters in Honkai Star Rail. Saber Artoria is available as SSR character whereas Mihoyo is generous enough to make Emiya as welfare character.

Because my mistrust toward Mihoyo, I will never bother to install Honkai Star Rail for Fate collab. However as Type Moon series fans, this Fate collab event gives out the glimpse what Fate/Grand Order would look like if it got long due makeover treatment which didn't happen due to Sony and Aniplex greed to constantly milk FGO without allocating proper resources to get QoL Updates. Mihoyo probably spent a sum for this collab stunt around the anniversary period of FGO and try to show that Chinese developer does have what it takes to properly make use Popular Japanese IP like Fate instead of relying on Japanese constantly aging talent pool. I do hope Lasengle will learn something from this particular move by Mihoyo to strive on giving better experience with FGO.

Genshin Impact Myethos 1/8 Citlali Obsidian Opalstar version

Genshin impact may be having rather lousy track record when it comes to their merchandising release pacing, but one of the latest Natlan waifu Citlali got her 1/8 Scale Figure on the courtesy of Myethos! Debuting early this year as SSR waifu char, Citlali is getting quite a special treatment by Mihoyo that even Mavuika isn’t having one! Scheduled for January 2026 release, Myethos 1/8 Citlali will be sold for 9900 Yen price tag.

Breaking the tradition of 5* Sword Maiden waifu from the past Five Teyvat regions, Citlali is the Male traveler’s token waifu of Natlan continent being a 5* Cryo Catalyst user cementing the Cryo Supremacy in Genshin yet again! Citlali character design and depiction of her storyline easily makes an easy favorite for male fans of the game. Considering Mihoyo through Citlali, really make good use of Ever youthful Maiden priestess archetype who finally find a perfect partner from her encounter with Main hero. To this day, I never regret picking Cryo as my favorite element because most of the Genshin top tier waifu design like Ganyu belong to this category and I wouldn’t be surprised if in near future Mihoyo have something special for Skirk who appears to be 5* Cryo Sword user. In any case Myethos 1/8 Citlali offer a relatively affordable collectible figurine which are relatively uncommon for Genshin Impact, perhaps hinting a shift for their marketing strategy.

Genshin Impact Nendoroid Doll Venti Song of the Wind

Just as Genshin slowly pick up the slack from their hubris over past 3 years, Of all things we got ourselves a Nendoroid Doll for Anemo Archon, Venti! Dubbed under Song of the Wind title, Nendoroid Venti is scheduled for October 2025 release with 11500 Yen Price Tag.

A rather peculiar choice by Mihoyo to decide for new Genshin Impact Product which feature Venti in his casual outfit. Considering Genshin Impact is still in intense drought merchandise phase due to mismanagement by the Genshin team for quite some time. And of all characters, Mihoyo decide to pick Mondstadt character that is not particularly the most popular anymore given the current size of the roster of Genshin Impact. Nevertheless the outfit design that Mihoyo decide to give upon Venti is intricate which will certainly attract female demographics of Genshin Fanbase which serve as the majority of Nendoroid Doll lineup anyway. Hopefully this random GSC Genshin merchandise do show Mihoyo's intention to pick up the slack and release more Genshin merchandise in faster pace especially the figma lineup.

Genshin Impact Apex Toys 1/7 Ganyu Plenilune Gaze

Most likely the last Review for Realm of Darkness for this year before 2025 and I have considered several candidates before but end up choosing Ganyu 1/7 PVC Figure from Apex Toys. I got this Ganyu figure around this time last year and did some photoshots for her early this year on Instagram.

In my opinion, this Cryo Half Qilin waifu, Ganyu is still the best waifu from Genshin Impact to this day which is quite a feat considering Cryo team has plenty of Top Tier waifus to choose from including Citlali from Natlan which will be joining Genshin as playable character in 2 weeks, With her gentle and caring personality, It is not hard to see Ganyu being a fan favorite including myself and this Cocogoat had remained my steadfast Main since early 2022 and she still nukes many enemies easily that are not immune to Cryo Element.

I picked Ganyu as the review candidate in this timing as my way to celebrate her birthday which is on December 2nd early in this month. As for myself, I am still waiting for her Figma or any 1/12 equivalent action figure which are not anytime soon given Mihoyo's Department for Genshin are rather out of touch to this day. Perhaps this time's review will be as basic as it gets since I am highly considering some retake sessions with proper setups once I moved to a larger place.

Genshin Impact Nendoroid Raiden Shogun

After Zhongli announcment last month, the third Archon and ruler of Inazuma; Raiden Shogun makes her turn joining Nendoroid lineup! Scheduled for June 2025 release, Raiden Shogun will be sold for 7500 Yen. Obviously Nendoroid Raiden Shogun will come with Ei and Raiden Shogun faceplate.

While the release announcement gap is not as bad as with Venti to Zhong Li, Mihoyo has mismanaged their Genshin IP too long for me to be interested with their products not to mentioned the cake box packaging that will come with Ei. Regardless, The Nendoroid itself is pretty good product though as Raiden Shogun comes with generous amount of accessories such as the Engulfing Lightning spear and even the Musou no Hitotachi in 2 variants. Raiden Shogun is easily my favorite archon and likely remains the favorite Waifu for many Genshin players. But Mihoyo's shitty treatment on Genshin IP really makes it hard to support them especially there are no promised QoL improvements to be seen even after Natlan chapter has passed over 2 Patches.

So far, I still see Mihoyo haven't humbled down and prefer to maintain their hubris with the very slow merchandise release for Genshin. While I think all of the 7 Archons will get their Nendoroids eventually with Nahida being next. I think the fanbase will have to wait for very long time before their favorite character to get Nendoroid release despite people are willing to spend money for them. It is definitely a suffering to be a fan for a game that is severely neglected by their own creator.

Genshin Impact Nendoroid Zhong Li

Took Mihoyo long enough to make something noteworthy for their Genshin Impact! 2 Years have passed after the Anemo Archon Venti got his Nendoroid and finally the Geo Archon himself, Rex Lapis finally made it to Nendoroid Lineup as well! Coming with some his Vortex Vanquisher and couple goodies, Nendoroid Zhong Li will be sold for 7500 Yen Price tag and May 2025 release schedule.

To be honest over past 2 Years during Sumeru and Fontaine update, Mihoyo have become too full of themselves which the Merchandise release schedule like the Nendoroids serve as manifestation of the issue. While Nendoroid Zhong Li certainly is a well made product that the character deserve, I personally don't see any reason why It need to take 2.5 years after Nendoroid Venti for the finished product to be available. Might as well Raiden Shogun, Nahida and Furina need 2 years each for their Nendoroids to be released.

While Mihoyo's Top Leader. Dawei tried to make heartful amends before Natlan release promising to make Genshin better. Personally I still don't fully buy the genuine intention  of making Mihoyo turn for better because it looks like a textbook Good Cop, Bad Cop antics and Genshin is still a painful daily chore as usual in the first Natlan update. Mihoyo's consequences of their Hubris have come to the extent of making the Players unwilling to explore their new creations despite the good production value since they have ignored their players grievances for so long. Time will tell whether Mihoyo able to fulfill their promise or not

Genshin Impact SHF Paimon

Among the most highly successful Mobile Game series, Mihoyo's Genshin Impact probably present the biggest anomaly among its peers as the self-proclaimed Otaku Dev Companies treat this particular IP as an Ultra Premium piece of Real Estate. Thus, despite Genshin Impact has been running for almost 4 Years, we have been seeing a drought of merchandise unbecoming of this Massive series especially when it comes to Action Figure department.

The last time we had some proper Genshin Action Figure was Figma Mona which was announced 2 years ago and not long time ago Bandai have announced plans for SHF Paimon which could be turning point for the merchandise drought. However this new SHF action figure for Paimon by Bandai got some bullshit incorporated for its release yet again which will just perpetuate the stagnation yet again. Released a P-Bandai product, SHF Paimon will be released for September release with 6500 Yen price tag.

The biggest offender of SHF Paimon release is its status as P-Bandai item which will automatically inflate the SRP for average collectors and this will make this item easily cost more than Figma Mona despite the accessories are bare minimum. While Paimon is not exactly my favorite character from Genshin being a very impolite glutton leecher, I would have been willing to pitch in if this product to be given regular treatment at very least. But given Mihoyo chose to fall on their Hubris, I will simply won't play ball with this BS.

While I still believe Genshin Impact still have potential in years to come despite the Honeymoon phase with the Fans has worn off. Given the current direction of the Mihoyo, Genshin will just repeat the same mistake with FGO as the IP is owned and handled by Soulless Greedy Piece of Shit who gives no single F about Genshin aside from profitability. While I think the Core Dev member do earnestly try to create a quality product as shown with the Potion Making event and Seasonal banner, The marketing team are filled by people who obsess Style over Substance, thinking only about Exposures instead of putting some actual attention on User Experience. While I still play Genshin at regular frequency, At some point I might just give up on game because Mihoyo is not a company worthy to support despite their slogan of "Tech Otaku save the world".

Yami's 2nd Year with Genshin Impact

Another day another Gacha Game to be discussed and this time is no other than the famous Genshin Impact! This Triple-A Gacha game almost didn't survive by this end of this year due to ongoing burnout that I have with Genshin over past several months. But fortunately this game got yet another chance with Xiaomi Pad 6 and the latest Fontaine's Archon Quest. But seriously Android platform do really need controller support for Genshin in near future.

Genshin Impact Apex Toys 1/7 Kamisato Ayaka - Frostflake Heron ver

Genshin Impact may have felt a little slow lately, but fans finally have something exciting to look forward to: Kamisato Ayaka is getting her own premium scale figure. Scheduled for release in September 2024, the elegant princess of the Kamisato Clan will receive a stunning 1/7 scale figure from APEX-TOYS, priced at 22,000 yen.

Based on her iconic summon illustration artwork, Ayaka looks just as graceful in figure form as she does in-game. She is posed mid-motion, raising her fan as if preparing one of her Cryo techniques or performing a refined dance. The sculpt captures her elegance beautifully, from the flowing details of her outfit to her poised expression.

Genshin Impact Nendoroid 1795 Venti

Genshin Impact is one of the hottest piece of IP since 2020 and the hype is still going very strong with merchandising department up until now. After Aether and Lumine, the first playable Archon character, Venti makes it as the first non main character from Genshin to make it as Nendoroid. The mischievous drunkard Bard is scheduled for September 2022 release with 5500 Yen Price tag.

For over 5000 Yen price tag, Venti comes with Skyward Harp Bow and his harp as the accessories which seems lacking but Goodsmile definitely will not able to fulfill all demands from the initial batch. Over past one year for some reason Goodsmile are unable to produce several of their products in large quantity which heavily affect Nendoroid Lineup including Genshin Impact's Aether and Lumine.

In Genshin Impact, Venti or Barbatos is one of the 7 Archons in Teyvat, controlling Anemo element and preside over Monstadt region. In the Mondstadt story Arc, Traveler assist Venti in restoring Sanity of his Dragon companion named Dvalin who went insane due to lingering poison and machinations of Abyss order. As an Archon, Venti's personality is very carefree and lacking of responsibilty, he is often seen being drunk in a Pub owned by Diluc. Venti is very famous due to his ~Ehe~ moment which made one of the most memorable moment of Paimon in the game. In terms of Gameplay, Venti is very popular due to being one of the best Crowd Control character and often used in competitive lineup for Abyss floor. Personally Venti is one of my target character as i happen to own Skyward Harp and need a worthy user for the weapon, though i am conflicted with Venti since there is a future Hydro bow-user named Yelan who seems to provide the same role with him.

In any case i am still waiting for Waifu characters like Ganyu, Eula and Raiden to get their own Nendoroids which is just a matter of time.

Yami playing Genshin Impact

It has been more than a month i started playing Genshin Impact and with the milestones i have reached, i think i am ready to prepared a rounded opinion about this hottest AAA Mobile Game of the year. It took me more than a year to start playing Genshin Impact partly because of limited hardware issue of my mobile phone at the time, but mostly from my hesitation trying another Mihoyo Game due to personal bad experience playing Honkai Impact 3rd which is a very high maintenance for a mobile game.

Before i tried Genshin, i always thought the game to be very overhyped with its well-placed aggressive marketing that attracts Normies which is a recipe for toxic community. However after trying what Genshin able to offer for some time, i do find the game have its merit that makes it earn its current position as the top reigning Mobile Game. If i have to sum up my experience with Genshin Impact, the game experience is a polarizing one. By F2P standard, Genshin offers very amazing open world exploration but at the same time some of the worst Gacha experience on par with FGO and Uma Musume. Personally i like Genshin because it is the Chinese answer to Avatar and Exalted, two great series inspired from Eastern Asia esoteric cosmology, and a decent one at that.

Genshin Impact Nendoroid 1717 Traveller/Aether

2 Months after Genshin Impact 1st anniversary, Goodsmile finally released the preorder for the main protagonists of the most popular open world Gacha Game themselves, The Traveller! and the twins come both at the same time! Nendoroid Aether and Lumine are sold for 5800 Yen each separately with July 2022 release schedule. For some reason related to production capacity, the first Genshin Nendoroids as well as Figma Mona will be released in rather limited quantity.

In terms of Accessory, Nendoroid Traveller both Aether and Lumine are rather lacking since they only came with low rarity sword and glider wing. The miniscule amount accessory may hints out that the product release for Nendoroid Traveller is likely to be rushed, probably something to do with Mihoyo's blunder during their 1st anniversary. I won't be surprised if GSC will release the DX version of both Aether and Lumine which could include Paimon and elemental effect parts as the extra accessories for starters.

I tried Genshin since last month after getting a new phone that is capable of handling the game's rather high spec for a mobile game. After trying this game for a month for roughly a month, overall i find the gaming experience of Genshin to be polarizing. On one side you got yourself a well made Open World game that are available for free and on the other hand you got yourself one of the vilest gacha mechanics which puts up a good challenge with FGO. As for further discussion about Genshin, i will probably make a dedicated post for the series in near future.

Nendoroid Aether/Lumine is an easy skip for me with their lacking accessory but i personally will look forward to future release for Nendoroid Ganyu or Ningguang if GSC ever release one since those two are the characters from Genshin i am interested the most.

Honkai Impact 3rd 1/8 Herrscher of Void Kiana

Made by Chinese Company Mihoyo, Honkai Impact 3 is one of the more well known mobile game out there and now the series is popular enough for Alter making a Premium figure for one of the main heroine. The game is rather different for a Gacha as it features fast-paced hack and slash for its gameplay with Waifus as the playable character and it got some impressive budget for Visuals. I used to play Honkai Impact 3rd for quite some time before finally giving up since it is too high maintenance for Mobile game and the Yuri crap gets unbearable at times. It is undeniable that Honkai do have some Top tier Heroine designs but the story had too many Mary Sue BS for my taste.

So for the first Honkai Impact 3 figure made by renowned figure maker, Alter picked Herrscher of Void AKA God Kiana as their choice. The figure is released for 22800 Yen Price tag with June 2021 schedule. Rather pricey for 1/8 Figure but the sculpt doesn't disappoint for sure.

I happened to have HoV available in my Valkyrie  roster even complete with her S-rank weapon. While Herrscher is not as overpowered anymore, this version of Kiana is very easy to pick up. God Kiana is one of the few ranged-oriented valkyrie in Honkai Impact and a very good one, her  gameplay is basically raining down infinite amount of projectiles toward the enemies to impunity just like Gilgamesh's Gate of Babylon

In the story of Honkai Impact 3, Herrscher of Void is the evil version of the main heroine Kiana as a god-like being hijacked her body through some circumstances and become an Existence with sole purpose to bring destruction upon humanity. I might hate the yuri-crap of Honkai with absolute prejudice but at very least still able to like Herrscher of Void's design as her depiction as a flawless beauty contrasted with her role as the ultimate adversary for Humanity had its own kind of charm. No doubt during her debut, many people whaled for God Kiana with her gorgeous design.

Whether Mihoyo staffs played Rance series or not, God Kiana's design no doubt had close resemblance with Demon King Gele, albeit Safe-for-work version of her with slight influence of Hornet. This is because both character happened to play the same role in their respective game where they start as pure innocent maiden archetype but through some unfortunate circumstances given tremendous power and existed to bring absolute despair to Humanity. I think Herrscher of Void close resemblance with Gele is what makes me like the character even though i hate the game with passion. While i am through with Honkai, i will get God Kiana if she had a Nendoroid which is quite likely considering several of her fellow Valkyries had made it already.

Here is the comparison shot of God Kiana with Maou Gele and Hornet just to point out their similarities
