Sousei no Aquarion Super Minipla Aquarion

 Sousei Gattai! GO! Aquarion! Another Mecha from Kawamori Series that got a new product after quite some time and it is nice to see Aquarion once again. Scheduled for September 2022 release with 9900 Yen price tag, Aquarion is getting a minipla from Bandai!

 Replicating its SOC Counterpart, Minipla Aquarion will come with complete transformation gimmick that allows 3 Different forms of Aquarion; Solar, Mars and Luna. Unfortunately the weapons and effect parts are sold separately, so fans need to fork additional 5400 Yen for Mugen Punch effect parts and the weapons including Solar Sword. However it is still somewhat understandable considering the transformation mechanics of Aquarion is somewhat complicated with Combiner plane Robot reminiscent of Getter Robo which comes with detailed intricate design expected from father of Macross. If Minipla Aquarion is selling well, i think Mass Produced Aquarion or even Evol will come out someday which i will look forward to.

Super Robot Chogokin Aquarion Evol

Aquarion EVOL has finished recently and around the same time, Bandai also announced release of Super Robot Chogokin for EVOL. The SRC will be released around October this year with 4800 yen price tag just like Solar Aquarion. Aquarion Evol is the main form of Aquarion mainly used by Amata in the series thus it is closely resemble to Solar Aquarion of the prequel. In terms of look, EVOL probably looks slightly cooler though it lacks arsenal compared to Solar Aquarion. So far i have only watched up to 18 episodes of Aquarion Evol and probably need to catch up soon to confirm whether the ending is really disappointing or not.

Super Robot Chogokin Solar Aquarion

At last more details for SRC of this mecha revealed few weeks ago! Bandai will release SRC of Solar Aquarion in December this year. I have been quite a fan of Sousei no Aquarion after watching the series and playing SRW Z due to its awesome song and its super robot that got plenty of cool moves on its sleeve. Solar Aquarion is the main form out of the 3 Aquarion form piloted by the hotblooded protagonist Apollo who is just plain good smacking the Shadow Angels around. While it is confirmed the SRC won't be transformable, at least it got some proper gimmick parts to replicate the original mech's trademark such as Mugen Punch which i recall the normal SoC version didn't have and it also come with the Ippatsu Gyakuten Punch as well which is shown in SRW Z2. I am tempted to get this SRC into my collection but i guess i would skip it in order to get SRC Zeorymer which is probably released around next year. I still wonder if Mars and Luna Aquarion would get SRC version though i think Assault Aquarion had better chance compared to them to get SRC release.

New Super Robot Chogokin revealed!

From the recent damashi festival 2011 which is reported by Cybergundam. Bandai announced bunch of addition for Super Robot Chogokin lineup. There are some of the announced items that piqued my interest which are:

•  SRC Daizengar complete with the Zankantou will be the new addition for SRW series. I am not interested with this one since i got the plastic model already. I wonder if Bandai will make the Trombe transformable in case they release one.
• Several additions for GaoGaiGar which include additional tools for Gaogaigar, Chouryujin and Big Volfogg. I am not sure the J-ark also included into the addition as the it is twice as big as GGG.
• Zeorymer of Heaven also get SRC which probably the current best treatment that the mecha got so far. I might consider to get this one.
• Some mechas from Armored Core 5 which is supposedly the starter AC. I am quite surprised that the series got the toy pretty early.
• Finally Aquarion, while the appearance is Solar Aquarion the name tag is Aquarion which may give some possibility that it can transform into 3 forms(not sure yet). If it is true and it also get the Mugen Punch gimmick, consider i am sold for this guy.

Sousei no Aquarion Sequel: Aquarion Evol announced!

I am pretty surprised that this series get a sequel with title Aquarion Evol. It seems that the one that piloted Aquarion will be new casts and looks like Apollo and Touma will be returning in this anime. The original Aquarion itself is a series that has great mecha and song though the anime is average at best. I wonder if the anime will be released in Tv series or OVA format and whether it is able to surpass its predecessor. So far there are not much information regarding the anime though probably the anime will show up mid of this year or next year.
