Fate Stay/Night Heaven's Feel Route Complete!

Took me 10 years but finally finished my journey of Fate/Stay Night VN by clearing the last route, Heaven's Feel. This route definitely lives up to the reputation being the best one in terms of writing. Overall the route is more depressing than Fate and UBW as some main actors of the series left quite early on HF which is necessity for the sidelined character to shine. However the True Ending definitely gives some bittersweet closure. Since i have finished reading the Heaven's Feel, i will look forward to the opportunity on Ufotable's take for this route.

Heaven's Feel feels abit dragged in the middle part but it makes up with some Pure Manly Action Sequences near the end of the route. Compared to UBW and Fate, HF feels abit bleak as in this route as Shirou forced to abandon his ideal and goes on self destructive journey to save the person he chose to cherish. Despite the hard choices to break apart from his ideal, Shirou reached happiness in the end of HF if he sticks to his guns. To me the part that hits me hardest in Heaven's Feel is when Shirou loses Saber just before their bond could flourish and this is part of the reason which Shirou forced to go against his ideal.

HF might be officially Sakura's route but the MVP of this route are Illya and Kirei. Illya's interaction with Shirou is way more complicated compared to other two routes and the closure for two characters are just heartwrenching. For now we have Prisma Illya to offset the Tragedy feels but i would love to see dedicated Illya route if possible in case the VN getting a remake.

As for Kirei, he might only serve as one dimensional villain in Fate and UBW. but you got to see more of his side in Heaven's Feel and he absolutely kicks ass. His fight scene with Assassin is one of the scene that i really look forward to see in HF Movie apart from Zelretch appearance.

For now all left is to clear UBW True Ending and getting the Realta Nua ending to wrap up my journey with this series. I wish could take it slower since the completion of this VN will leave a void in my heart for a while but at the same time reading Fate Stay/Night is a worthwhile journey.
