D&D Classics Enhanced Edition Ultimate Collection

In the preparation for the upcoming Baldur's Gate 3, the Dungeon and Dragons Video Game Great Classics made reappearance to the Consoles in their enhanced edition with a bang! Featuring five of the successful DnD Video Game adaptation on PC; Baldur's Gate. Baldur's Gate 2, Neverwinter Night, Icewind Dale and Planescape Torment, Skyboundgames released rather tempting Collectors edition! The Collectors edition contains Three Physical Copies of the Game of the choice platform with plethora of Goodies. As much as i would love to get this collector edition getting them shipped to Indonesia would cost too expensive in Customs though i wouldn't mind for Baldur's Gate Collector Edition actually. Few years ago, I played Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition rolling as Ranger which i quite enjoyed since it is one of the closest representation of the DnD Tabletop Rpg in digital form. At very least i would get the physical copy for Baldur's Gate since i haven't finished Shadow of Amn campaign. However i am also quite interested with Planescape Torment since i heard good things about it.

Funhobby Metal Build 1/100 Blue Destiny Unit 2

When i saw a fellow Blogger's 3rd Party Metal Build Blue Destiny Unit 1 by Funhobby, i have already set my sight on this particular manufacturer. With my recent acquisition of Thunderbolt, i feel that the 3rd party quality should be decent at very least. Then recently the manufacturer's version of Blue Destiny 2 are up for preorder in my local toy store which piqued my interest. The open price is 100 USD and for a Metal Build, it is very generous. The Metal Build Blue Destiny comes with twin heat blade, Nimbus Signature weapon as well as armaments derived from Ground-Type Gundam. From what i recall, Blue Destiny 2 is the Mobile Suit used by Zeon Ace Pilot named Nimbus Schterzen after his Efreet Custom got destroyed. I am highly considering getting this one since the MB Blue Destiny 2 will become valuable if Funhobby ever considered making Blue Destiny 3. I hope the manufacturer could accomplish this before Bandai catch up with them since one of the Third Party manufacturer called Tungmung had fallen victim to Bandai's hissy fit.

Bloodstained Ritual of the Moon

One of the most anticipated Kickstarter game out there and this one doesn't disappoint! Bloodstained Ritual of the Moon is the answer that Koji Igarashi gave to the fans after the void of his version of Castlevania for almost a decade. It took four years in development after successfully gaining backing from Kickstarter and unlike Mighty No 9, it  does satisfy the expectation. I played Bloodstained from Switch which is the worst version of the game at the moment due to graphic issue because the game actually look gorgeous in PS4 but Iga did promise to fix the issue.

The strongest point of Bloodstained is the gameplay which  takes the best bits from each Igavania starting with Symphony of the Night until Order of Ecclessia. Personally i did have fun with this game and enjoy it, however it is still not perfect enough to surpass Iga's Crown Jewel, Symphony of the Night. The weakest point of Bloodstained for me is lack of the immersion and storyline. The Maps in the game had a solid start but it gets rather dull after going past the Train Area. Also for some reason you don't feel that attached to Miriam compared to Alucard or Soma but it can be fixed eventually. For now i have completed my first run and tried to finish my weapon collection in preparation for New Game+ once the patch is out. In conclusion Bloodstained is a solid Metroidvania title which will fulfill the longing for Igavania fans and deserved the support. I think Iga could use for some good writer to help him on the Sequel should he planned for one.

July 2019 Loot

Not as much as previous loot, but got some heavyweights here. For this month two toys from Monster Hunter series, Drake EXQ and Metal Build Thunderbolt. The best of the bunch are no doubt the CFB Teostra and Metal Build Thunderbolt which each cost me around two hundred bucks. Capcom Figure Builder series doesn't disappoint with my favorite Elder Dragon and Non Bandai Metal Build turns out promising for Thunderbolt.

The Hardcore Mecha game is coming out soon after years of development and getting the Metal Build is the way i express support for the series. Considering Mecha series with good potentials are hard to come by and i will certainly get a copy of the game when it is coming to Switch. This month's loot also complete my Prize Figure set for FGO at least for now which looks impressive once gathered

As usual i doubt i will be able to put review for these new items anytime soon though i really look forward for an opportunity to review the Metal Build Thunderbolt.

Nendoroid 377 Kirin Hunter Female

It has something to do with the new MHW Iceborne expansion, but GSC are re-releasing Nendoroids from the Monster Hunter series once again! GSC starts with the all time popular choice of the series, Kirin Female Hunter! This one cost around 5800 yen, slightly pricier than average Nendoroid since it includes plenty of accesories including two weapon choices and Palico in Kirin gear. Nendoroid Kirin Hunter re-release will be scheduled for November release and hopefully the rest of MH Nendoroid will follow up too. The one that i look forward the most would be Nendoroid Lagombi Blademaster since that one has the best value for money.

Diaclone DA-35 Sky Jacket Storm Savers

It has been a while since any of the product from Diaclone lineup catches my attention since they mostly focus on the smaller units and the enemies recently. But there is actually some cool mech that catches my attention again. I just noticed that the Smaller Power armor, Powered System series got add-on called Sky Jacket which is a plane unit that can serve as additional limbs making the PS Armor look bulkier and more imposing. The Sky Jacket add on has been around for a while, but they got the new version along with the PS Armor called Storm Saver version which comes in white color scheme and look more heroic. The Diaclone Stormsavers set are sold for 6800 Yen Price tag which is not that shabby for the gimmicks but unfortunately it is quite hard to acquire Diaclone toys lineup in Indonesia so i might resort getting them from overseas if desperate.

Joytoy 1/25 God of War 86 Blue

I have been hearing Acid Rain series for a while since my company used to stock up this product. It wasn't until now that the series catches my attention when i looked at their mech products. Up until know i only know that Acid rain consist of 1/24 miniature futuristic soldiers that belong to Dystopian settings but when i look at the mecha, it looks quite cool. The Aesthetics remind me of Hexagear series made by Kotobukiya particularly the Bulkarm Alpha. I had a huge fondness with the mecha toys that have pilot gimmick and it appears that this Particular Acid Rain mech called God of War fits the bill quite well. There were several available variants for the Mech Products for Acid Rain but for now i am the most interested with this one. The ShowZ had this available for sale for 59 USD which is quite a good deal and hopefully there is a local store that could take this product in so it is less hassle for me to get this item.

Figma EX-057 Saber Alter Maid

As expected, GSC had another product in store for Salter yet again which is no other than her Maid Alter form and it is now part of Summer Wonderfest Exclusive both in Figma and Nendoroid format! Figma Maid Alter in her second ascension will be sold for Summer Wonfes next month for 6800 Yen, standard figma pricetag. The Figma comes with generous amount of accessories included most of Maid Alter's arsenal including the Dragunov rifle used in her NP. The Excalibur Morgan is not included which is rather expected since GSC wants the consumer other Salter's version which there are two this year. Saber Alter really one upped the Vanilla Artoria even in summer version because of the sheer amount of fanservice she brings on the table. I would say having a King of Knights serve as your personal maid with tsundere streak is quite an irresistible proposition. I will likely get this figma even if i had preordered her 2.0 version if i got her in the summer Gacha which I have saved quite a number of SQs specifically for her banner. And if i happen to get this particular version, i will need to dip in for Cuirassier Noir too.

Nendoroid 1142 Saber Alter Artoria Shinjuku

2019 is particularly a good year for Saber Alter considering GSC lavishes her with plenty of products while neglecting her Vanilla version for some reason. In any case the Shinjuku version of Salter got the Nendoroid version now which previously released first in Nendoroid Doll format. I suppose Nendoroid Doll are not performing as good as GSC expected therefore they release Salter back to the original Nendoroid format. Nendoroid Salter Shinjuku is scheduled for November 2019 release and comes with two format, Regular and DX with 4500 Yen and 5800 Yen price tag respectively. The DX Version comes with more accessories notably the Cuirassier Noir which is quite a dealbreaker. I rarely collect Nendoroids for my FGO Collection but i think i am quite interested to actually get this one. It has been two years since Shinjuku Arc in Japan and Saber Alter yet to get her outfit but i am still confident DW will eventually release her costume as part of collaboration, possibly movie adaptation or something. I am quite sure Jalter Shinjuku will follow soon after Salter for the regular Nendoroid version though i just wonder what the DX version will have in store.

Sentinel Riobot SRX

A few days ago, Sentinel had an exhibition to celebrate their 10th year anniversary which they put those years into good use with releasing quality Mecha toys. During the event, they revealed one of the upcoming products for SRW series and they didn't go half assed. The former mascot of Banpresto, SRX is joining the Riobot lineup! There are not much information about the toy for now but it seems that it will likely have the gattai feature just like the Volks version had few years ago. For a long time SRX has been one my long sought Holy Grail because it is one of the more badass mecha design by Katoki for SRW back when he was still full of fresh ideas. I will get this toy as long as it is within 30000-40000 Yen price range but i would expect it could go higher, given the Company size of Sentinel. Apart from SRX, the Sentinel products i am following their Products are Riobot Johanna, Tekkaman Blade and Legioss which will no doubt giving a quite a dent on my wallet if i planned to get them all.

Metal Structure RX-93 Nu Gundam

From the International Tokyo Toy show today, this recent Nu Gundam product is probably Bandai's most highlighted item from the exhibiton. Few years ago we had highly detailed Nu Gundam Bust in the formania lineup for 20000 Yen and now Bandai is trying their chances with a PG Sized Metal Build toy for one of the most iconic gundam in Universal Century. The particular product for Nu Gundam is sold under the new Metal Structure lineup slated for end of this year with 93000 Yen. I suppose Bandai is confident for such price tag for the metal structure since they are using one of the most popular Gundam design out there considering they even don't include Fin Funnel parts for this one.  Last time the only diecast toy as big as New Metal Structure toy was the DX Combattler V last year which was sold for 55000 Yen. Considering 2018 was the 30th anniversary for CCA, we are still seeing quite generous amount of Bandai Products for Nu Gundam. So far we have got a Real Grade and Couple of Candy Toys and now the High End Metal Structure. While this one is out of my radar, i am curious what Bandai have in store for Nu.

Astebreed

Switch is a gold mine for mecha games since it receive plentiful ports from Steam which is one of the choice destination for Japanese Indie devs. One of those mecha game that i came across recently is called Astebreed which is a classic shooter game featuring mechas and it did particularly well in terms of presentation. In terms of gameplay and visual Astebreed kinda reminds me of those shooter game from Dreamcast era especially Psyvariar 2 and Brave Blade. I do like shooter game even though i suck at them because it is one of the bountiful source for cool mechanical designs whether they are planes or robots which Astebreed is one of the prime examples. One thing that distinguish Astebreed apart from the run of the mill shooter is that you get to play vertical, horizontal and rail shooter in one game.

The story for Astebreed is nothing special since a six-stage arcade shooter doesn't have room for it but it still have some interesting concepts all over. The Heroines kinda remind me to characters from yet another shooter game called Triggerheart Exelica with the trope the game used. In terms of mechanical design, the main mecha from Astebreed is a solid one.  Kimaris Vidar's source design is based from Astebreed's first form where Astebreed's final form kinda resemble Rayfalx from Frame Arms. At its core Astebreed is an indie game, nonetheless it is clean cut high tier one which i enjoyed overall. I will look forward to an opportunity for switch port of Ether Vapor which is another shooter game made by the Astebreed dev which looks cool enough while at the same time waiting for ports of Raizing and Treasure shooter as well.

Gundam G-Frame 07

It took a while before the official picture comes out but turns out my prediction for the 7th edition of Gundam G-Frame hits the spot. The roster for this edition is quite solid featuring RX-78-4, Gouf Custom and Full Armor Gundam. As usual Gundam G-Frame 07 is sold as 5000 Yen/ 10 Box slated for September release. At first G-Frame series could have been a flop but as long as Bandai do not pull out the BS of over-representing the unpopular mecha, this lineup will survive just fine. For the next volume, i am rather curious with the upcoming roster. In my opinion, War in the Pocket could have a good shot.
