Probably my last Final Gear Mechatalk before I return from my Overseas trip and this one will be abit more special, consider it as the early gift for Artery Gear collab with Final Gear. Usually I won't be covering the units that I haven't maxed up, but I will make an exception for this occassion as Corallium is the main star of the AG Collab and could have been the new main heroine standing along with Eve.if not for FG circumstances.
Final Gear have no shortage of tragic waifu heroines ranging from abused slaves to brainwashed mercenary, but Corallium probably sits on far end of Spectrum of the messed up things in Final Gear settings. In Final Gear settings, each main 3 factions have their own leading Scientist that help the military mech R&D of their respective nations. If Hexel and Arita have Chilino and Aita to represent this category, Kegha Empire had a genius Scientist called Rinbell who specialized in creating Human machine Hybrids for combat purpose.
While Rinbell behavior is borderline mad scientist who creates bizarre subjects, she is not particularly wasteful nor inhuman for her pursuit. Then one of Rinbell's researcher grow envious of her fame and decided to create his own Human Machine Hybrid. What comes out of this is a horrific tragedy where many children being abducted then dissected for this unnamed Mad Scientist pursuit and Corallium is one of the victim. Once a normal child living regular life, Corallium ends up having her head cut off and her brain put into a vat. Unlike many unfortunate victims, Corallium somehow survived this ordeal and found herself having a mech as her body. Upon realizing this horrible truth, Corallium went berserk with her new body destroying the Mad Scientist lab and anything along her path until her energy almost running out. On the brink of her death, Corallium body is found by a mercenary who rescued her and since then she becomes this mercenary bodyguard and called him big brother who later become travelling merchant. At some point Corallium later gained a physical body of a girl which give her some semblance of normal life after so much tragedy on her life.
In Final Gear Corallium is a Shooter Class unit that wields Neural Test Unit, the mech unit that she is interred in when she is still a brain inside a vat which closely resemble Rinbell's RN Prototype units given the nature of the unit's origin. The Neural Test Unit had 4 protruding appendages on its back which Corallium capable of shapeshift into projectile shooting units ranging from Energy shots to missile barrages.
When Final Gear and Artery Gear called Corallium as Brain in the Vat, they literally mean it. This overkill macabre caricature for the new waifu is obviously based on Kagami Sumika from Muvluv series which suffered more horrible fate after being captured by BETA Aliens. At very least her human version design is quite palatable and would have been a good main heroine candidate if not Final Gear being mismanaged and buried so many potentials. Lastly I wonder why Corallium shared a same name with Evelynn's friend Coral who probably would have some similar circumstances if she ever come out in FG.
Since Corallium is not maxed up yet, her potential DPS is not in full display but with her kit, I am quite confident that she can reach 30-40 Million DPS when maxed out or maybe surpassed Renata if her skill activation conditions are fulfilled. Corallium had a solid skillset expected from a Shooter Unit to deal out constant stream of DPS and she can gain further powerup and extra evasion if being damaged. While her DPS will not ever be on par with UR units, she should be perfectly servicable for PVE contents barring Heroic Conflict Zone. Who knows she might get UR if not for the current Final Gear situation given that her mechs is one of the better looking too.
If Global Final Gear didn't continue the next CN Update which will feature PN99, Curtis and Seraphiel as the next banner, then Corallium will probably be my last Final Gear Mechatalk. But if Final Global server still continue on, The Realm of Darkness shall continue with the Final Gear Mechatalk series once I return from my trip since I still have no shortage of materials to be worked on.
