Pokemon Gashapon Cap Chara Vol 1 Review

For Gashapon, i usually only took particular care for the ones that complement 1/12 Action Figure, but occasionally there are Gashapon Toys which had good novelty value that i bother enough to collect them. One of them is Cap Chara which are miniature figure which the Head of the figure can serve as the storage for body Parts. Bandai has released this lineup for several series like Crayon Shinchan or Sanrio Characters, but they do happen make some as well for Pokemon. This is the Review for the first volume since i managed to collect the whole set.

For the first edition of the Capchara lineup features 4 Pokemon from mixed generations which are quite unusual considering another Gashapon Manufacturer, Takara Tomy usually made theirs from single series but it is solid entry nonetheless.

Out of all Variants, Pikachu is the only that got excess parts when assembled but i supposes it is special treatment for the series Mascot. Probably Pikachu and Eevee are the most highly sought one as they are recently highlighted in the recent Pokemon Game. My Favorite one in this edition is Piplup because he was my first starter in 4th Generation and the sculpt is good enough. Where as Rowlett is easily the worst because the only assembled part is its Feet which is certainly lackluster compared to the other.

 Pikachu

Rowlett

Piplup

Eevee

So Far Pokemon Cap Chara had 3 Editions already though the third one are still not revealed yet. I am quite interested to get Torchic and Snorlax from the second edition which i might not complete the whole Set. Cap Chara is probably one of those Pokemon Gashapon that are worth keeping track of apart from their Gashapon Machine
