Mechatalk Final Gear: Viorate - Mesioola

 7th Final Gear Mechatalk and I am still confident to keep this going every week. This time I will be covering Mechatalk article for one of Final Gear's starter Pilot which happened to be my first pick when i started playing 2 years ago, Viorate with her Mesioola. UR Grinding is a pain in this game but I still managed to make it in time to raise my first SSR Pilot to UR! If only Flashwing bother to fix their UR Upgrade for their older characters.

 Viorate is a Heavy Shooter SSR Pilot belong to Hexel Faction. By this time I am writing the Final Gear Mechatalk articles, I find that majority of the Final Gear Mecha Pilots, at least the one with Custom mechs tend to have tragic backgrounds and Viorate is no different. A former slave in Kegha, Viorate got a second chance in life after being rescued by Hexel's Leader herself Noctris. Nearing the brink of her Death and got nothing to lose, Viorate accepted to undertake experimental operation by Sumora, one of Hexel's top Mech Designer and Cybernetics expert, becoming some sort of Augmented human. On top of being given a New life, Viorate is granted a body that possess pure energy which would allow her to wield Mechs like no other regular human could achieve. With this newfound power, Viorate fully dedicate herself to serve Noctris Cause no matter the price.

In Battle, Viorate piloted a Black Mech called Mesioola, One of Hexel Designer Family masterpiece creation armed with twin energy machine guns. Sumora helped Viorate to create a custom mech that make the full use of Viorate's unique traits in which Viorate able to interface with the mech directly and serve as the power source at the same time.

 Just like Nia, Viorate is one of the inner circle member of Noctris, owing a debt of life toward her. Quite sure If Final Gear storyline had continued, there would be more named characters who is rescued by this Steel Witch of Hexel.

Apart from being one of the Starter SSR option, Viorate also appears as one of the 4 poster girl in regular recruitment menu and for some reason she is assigned to Kegha region ironically but her appearance do change in the recruitment banner depending on which skin is equipped on her. Lastly Viorate is also one of the Instance Boss in Hexel Region which allowed you to farm her mech parts once you reach level 60. 

In terms of Meta, Viorate is a decent starter unit who deals consistent DPS from her ranged unit but unfortunately fell short once you descent into Competitive scene. Her kit provides some Damage over Time on top of Steady DPS which could prove handul against enemies with Shield for some extra pressure. Unfortunately even with her UR treatment her DPS while still somewhat ok just fell short against another SSR Shooters like Renata.

For Viorate's UR Upgrade, she is granted a Damage boost which is activated upon her High Gear activation which theoritically allows her to deal very high damage if the fight really drags on theoritically. Unfortunately she is unable to put good use of this Kit due to outdated base stats and Ariel is the go to UR Shooter unit if you want to reach 200 million DPS other than Ruby.

Update: Just right before Final Gear Global server closing down its service, I managed to raise Viorate UR Skill to her maximum limit. While her DPS almost reach 60 Million, given the resources required, her performance is rather pathetic compared to Renata who require less resources to surpass her DPS.

 

 Considering that I am not too confident that Final Gear will last long enough until Sumora got her turn to be featured in Mechatalk. Might as well include Viorate's benefactor brief Profile in Viorate's mechatalk Article. Being one of the starter SSR I am quite sure Sumora would have gotten her turn in UR Upgrade if this game didn't get into the current predicament. Personally Her mech is one of the more cooler huge model, being this game's version of 40k Warlord Titan after all.

 In the end, I do kinda like Viorate despite her shortcomings and she is somewhat more useful compared to Coreleah and PN26 for PVE Content. Her UR Skin is definitely good stuff almost as good as Coreleah's imo. Interestingly Top Seiyuu Inori Minase lent her voice for Viorate while not her best work of her's, this reminds that at some point Final Gear was profitable enough to hire some of the talented VAs to contribute her work.
