Switch Konosuba 2nd VN: Yunyun Ending

  Things have come to a full circle at long last as we are heading to the 7th and the final Heroine route of the Konosuba 2nd VN, Yunyun! With her Supporting Heroine role, Yunyun probably was one of the weaker heroine in the 1st VN but she proved herself to be something else in the 2nd VN! While the 2nd VN still give not much screen time for Yunyun in Main Storyline, the player will be getting a whole another level of fanservice treat should they pick her route. Because Yunyun is easily the MVP of this 2nd VN based on her route alone! Considering Yunyun's VA, Aki Toyosaki is a veteran seiyuu, Yunyun will perform a main heroine role just fine should she be given an opportunity for spotlight.

 Yunyun is one of Megumin's childhood friend from the Crimson Demon Clan and her self proclaimed rival who made her appearance around the end of Konosuba anime 1st season. Being the Crimson Clan Village Chief daughter, Yunyun is gifted in many ways whether in magical ability or her physical "assets" much to Megumin's displeasure. However Yunyun comes with one glaring flaw, She really lacks common sense at times and being gullible to a fault that she got easily duped and have been tricked so many times by Megumin. Even so Yunyun is one kindest friend who will always willing to lend assistance that Kazuma's party could rely on whenever they need extra helping hand. 

 In this Dress Up Darling of Konosuba game, Yunyun got a mixed balance of Fanservice and cute clothing that portrays Yunyun's main selling point as an Innocent Maiden gifted with bountiful physical body beyond her age. She tends to happily tag along into situation with Kazuma which ends up gets her embarassed after realizing the circumstances she gets into. Yunyun is probably one of the best Girlfriend candidate that Kazuma could have obtained in the series if he wished for a normal relationship because he didn't mind to go for a date if Yunyun invite him.

 I think Yunyun could have made an amusing story in the 2nd VN if she got the personality change cloth since she had the potential to be a really well played Evil Ojou-sama type.

 Aqua is hands down the biggest troublemaker in other Heroine's route throughout Konosuba 2nd VN. In Yunyun's route, her mischief is probably downright the worst one as Kazuma got into some serious trouble through her actions. Yunyun's route theme is probably based on one of the LN Plot but basically in Yunyun's route after the magic tablet incident, in one of her regular visit to Kazuma's party residence, she asked Kazuma to teach her how to be more "selfish". 

 However Kazuma took Yunyun to the worst possible person for the lesson and that person is no other than Darkness. Darkness living in her masochist fantasy basically roleplay as an abused pregnant housewife with a Deadbeat husband who only drink and totally neglects his duty. Yunyun lacking common sense as ever, reprise Darkness lines literally as if she is pregnant with Kazuma's child while the latter seems try to avoid the responsibility. As Kazuma tried to correct Yunyun for the proper lesson, he heard some running sound nearby which turns out to be Aqua which will land Kazuma in a big trouble on the next day.

 The next day after Kazuma's practice with Yunyun, Kazuma got himself give nasty look by people around Accel city starting with Megumin and even Chris personally denounce Kazuma which turns out because people think Kazuma taking advantage of Yunyun and escaped responsibility. Aqua being the useless Goddess as ever is the one responsible to spread the baseless rumor which gets Kazuma into serious trouble as Sena being the City's Royal Prosecutor come to arrest Kazuma.

 Yunyun's route is probably one of the few moment where Sena's Lie detecting magic tool shown it's full effect as the tool flawlessly capable of detecting Kazuma's lies during the interrogation process. As Kazuma is on his way to clear up his name, Yunyun barges in to the Interrogation room with a Wedding Dress no less! What happens after this is literally hands down the most hilarious moment in Konosuba 2nd VN! Perhaps this article won't suffice but maybe someday there will be a video that replay this particular scene

 Trying to save Kazuma from assumed Death Penalty, Yunyun intrudes Kazuma's interrogation in with Wedding Dress. While keeping up her pregnancy farce, Yunyun says out some pretty outrageous things like she deep down loves Kazuma and do want the baby from him, marry him then someday hoping to settle down happily with Kazuma back to Crimson Clan Village wishing him eventually become the Village Chief (Yes she literally say these things in this sequence). This sort of confession would have made Kazuma a happy man but instead he is thoroughly heartbroken and traumatised yet again! Because Sena's magic detection proved all of those heartfelt confession by Yunyun are blatant lies while all the negative comments are actually true. Thus after long day due to Aqua being busybody, Kazuma finally able to clear up his name but not with his dignity scarred and his heart broken in pieces. 

 After somewhat recovering from the incident's PTSD, Yunyun ask Kazuma to go with her for a date as a way to apologize. Acting lovey dovey, Kazuma do easily see through Yunyun's fake acting but doesn't mind too much with it. Then Yunyun being genuine for once ask for a selfish request with Kazuma which turns out to join Kazuma's trip for Megumin's Explosion exercise. This ending is not exactly the best fanservice ending in Konosuba 2nd VN but it is good enough for Kazuma as he had a chance to pursue romance option with Yunyun in the future should he wish to and he would likely have a happy married life should he pick Yunyun as his wife as she will be a very devoted spouse.

With Yunyun's ending article done, this conclude Konosuba 2nd VN Heroine route articles series! It is not exactly easy to muster up the effort to consistently write the article every week since the inception but It is my way to make up for the half-finished 1st VN Ending series and I am personally happy to keep up this personal challenge. In near future I probably will be covering the Dungeon Crawling RPG story as well when I got my PS Vita once more since I need to start with the 1st game for the proper experience.
