Seven years with Fate/Grand Order

Surviving yet another year in Gacha Hell with this once great dying Gacha game. Almost give up with FGO with the nonsense I encountered early this year but still saved by my commitment and persist on. Ultimately my patience do get rewarded by the time Anniversary arrived only to have it crash and burn again on my last destination of this year's Gauntlet.

Given Lasengle lack of resources and Aniplex mismanagement, I don't really bother spending much time with FGO like past 3-4 years. However I am still active enough to bother joining the available event so not to let the rewards go to waste. Shamefully I still haven't finish LB6 storyline which prevented me access the latest story quest in the event. But I will make sure this particular matter got sorted out by the end of this year so I could readily start with LB7.

Just like previous year, my 7th year in FGO got really rough start as I failed to get my early half targets until Constantine which even took quite a significant resources. However by the time of 7th Anniversary with the most generous amount of SQ Handouts totally over 900+, my strings of misfortunes took a reverse turn and even recoup my previous losses as I managed to obtain Summer Kama and Bazett through GSSR. For my most anticipated banner of this year, Moon Cancer Arcueid I was thoroughly pleased that I can obtain her within single Multis. This is because there is a kind of belief among FGO fandoms that the Servants are very willing to answer your summon if it doesn't take much SQs for them to arrive in your Chaldea. Then as for the Summer 7th banner which featured 2 Top tier waifus, Proto Merlin and Skadi in their Summer version are also obtained with relative ease. Overall what I have expected to be a tough gauntlet banner in FGO 7th year is a very smooth progress for me. But strings of good luck never last long and this is very apparent in FGO.

In my last target banner for 2024, I learned the hard way yet again that you never pick a brute force approach with the FGO Gacha. I literally reached the Hard Pity of 300 Multi Pulls for a single copy of Huyan Zhao. Huyan Zhao is top tier waifu with ample assets but not the ones I am willing to spend 900 SQs. In a single day my whole reserve that could have been used for 8th year war funds have gone and you truly can't force the FGO gacha to have a pity on you. If your 50 Pulls results are all crap, better save your remaining funds instead of having them gone into abyss without any tangible return.

But overall I could say my Gacha result for 2024 is quite good with 13 new additions that accumulated to total 75 SSRs even If paid a great price for it.

For 2025 given the FGO declining state which only get worse on 9th year, My overall target banners are quite modest. Given the finite amount of resources which doesn't allow players to get all of featured SSRs, I will always stick with Waifu banners if given a choice and this applies for my next year's target banners. While I have around 7 Target banners, If I have to really narrow it down, the Anniv-Summer gauntlet remains my utmost priority because I will spare no expense for Morgan being the best waifu in FGO which many other FGO fans likely think the same. Having survived for 7 years in the Gacha games with worst rates, I have prepared for the worst for my next year adventure with FGO. If I want something more consistent, I will just rely on Arknights for that.
