Mecharashi — Final Rank Permit Milestone

 

After being stuck in a prolonged bottleneck for more than five months, I finally managed to clear Chapter IX of Mecharashi, which in turn unlocks the game’s final level cap restriction. This is a significant milestone, as there are very few gacha games that demand this level of sustained time and attention for progression. Each “urgent mission” required to unlock the next chapter in Mecharashi is a substantial drain on mental energy, and the final hurdle is no exception.


In these urgent quests, properly min-maxed units are effectively a prerequisite, there is little room for success with suboptimal underdeveloped rosters. Chapter IX in particular is notoriously brutal, consisting of a gauntlet of three high-difficulty missions that demand a wide pool of optimized units. This can become problematic due to resource bottlenecks that limit SSR roster performance. The final mission in the sequence is especially punishing, requiring the defeat of four boss-level units while simultaneously dealing with overwhelming numerical disadvantage against swarms of lower-tier enemies.

BlackJack Studio appears genuinely committed to keeping Mecharashi alive, as evidenced by their consistent updates on the CN server. However, if they want to broaden the game’s appeal beyond its current niche audience, they may need to reconsider progression pacing. As it stands, the heavy reliance on prolonged, high-intensity grind walls is highly effective at filtering out casual players, perhaps way too effective. That said, the game does have a strong foundational asset base as a mecha title, which could potentially support future iterations or even an offline version, where its systems might feel more naturally suited.

Even though I did not particularly enjoy the grueling process of clearing these urgent stages, it remains a noteworthy milestone. I’ll use this opportunity to showcase my current progression in the game through the SSR units I have collected so far.
