The Way: Remastered
An 8-Bit style adventure game that i played a while ago on Switch and it was quite interesting experience. I haven't played many story driven adventure game and The Way Remastered offers an eye opening ride. The story of this game is about the journey of a man trying to bring his deceased wife back to life by finding a legendary Alien artifact that apparently possess such miracle. This journey will take a lifetime worth of effort and the man will face many perils in his quest. By the end of his journey he will be presented with two choices that brings conclusion of his quest.
In terms of gameplay , The Way Remastered is mostly about platforming puzzle which provide decent challenge which can be breezed through easily with patience. Some of the more annoying puzzle for me is the stage which you need to take down some Mercenary Robot and the burning Trap Floor in one of the last three temple.
Personally i am not too fond of with the story since the protagonist sacrificed too much in order to save his wife. The guy literally spent decades in an Alien Planet in his almost futile pursuit and in the end when he chose the option to save his wife, the result doesn't even worth it. Personally the moment when the protagonist lost his loyal animal companion named Tincan, just showed that his journey to save his dead wife simply doesn't worth it. Neverthless The Way Remastered is still a definite steal for 1 USD since it is on discount quite often on eshop.
