Funko POP Warhammer 40k Space Marine Review

In the Grim Darkness of the far future, there are POPs!

Whether it is just me, but there are so few official collectibles for 40k series outside the Tabletop scene. So when i stumble upon 40k POPs, these guys are immediately in my target and got myself two of them. There are 4 variants, but i just decided to get the Ultramarine and Blood Angels chapter Space Marine since i think they are the better of the lot.

The Funkos are straight up collectible SD figure with not so much gimmick but comes in very affordable price. Usually they only cover Western general POP culture stuff but occassionally they make something like 40k Series that goes into my strike zone.

Ultramarines Intercessor

When it comes to Space Marine merchandise, Ultrasmurfs are the prime candidate for the first selection because they are the Posterboy of Space Marines and 40k overall. With their strict adherence to Codex Astartes, Ultrasmurfs are the most standard flavor of Space Marine you can get. This particular version of Ultramarine Space Marine are the Primaris version notably due to the difference with the Helmet used. This unit is introduced in the newest 40k Codex which they are basically Space Marine ver 1.5. The Funko POP version had the Primaris Marine wield Bolter as his armament.

Blood Angels Assault Marine

Then we have Blood Angels Assault Marine as the second 40k POP that i had. This once Noble Space Marine Chapter that went vampiric after the death of their Primarch are known for their Prowess in close combat. Blood Angels Geneseed are unstable due the death of Sanguinius at the hand of Horus which makes them goes berserk under the effect of Black Rage if they can't keep their fury in check. The Blood Angel POP comes in Assault Marine version which are very effective shock melee unit with their Jump Pack and the POP comes with Chainsword and Hand Flamer as the armament.

The remaining Funko 40k Space Marine Variants that I left out are Space Wolf and Dark Angel. While I will be unlikely getting them, i won't mind to get another 40k Faction Units in Funko version, in particular Tau or Eldar unit. It is not flashy but Funko rendition of 40k do fill the void for the lack of merchandis for the series.
