Mecha might not be Argento Soma's strong suit, but it doesn't prevent Goodsmile to make a proper homage for the Mainstay mecha, SARG / Zark! SARG is relatively cool mecha design for a Sunrise mecha series that focus on Scifi element instead of the traditional Mecha brawl action. Scheduled for December 2025 release, Moderoid SARG will be sold for 6900 Yen.
In terms of Mecha design, Zark is essentially a Real Robot version of Evangelion or slightly more organic version of Macross Valkyrie Fighter with Protoculture parts. This mecha is an answer of the united Human government in Argento Soma as the countermeasure of the Alien incursion to Earth mainly used by the Elite task force called Funeral. As its main armaments, Zark is equipped with powerful material rifle with versatile arrangements and capable of easily taking down any opponents with its high mobility and combined arms tactics. Against the regular type of Alien, Zark has proven itself to be quite effective weapon. However when it comes to the Special Type Alien like the Melting and Giant version, they don't really have effective options and need to rely on the Silver Giant to save the day.
For a mecha design, SARG is a rather interesting Real Robot with Organic parts. It is one of those that lean more on Real Military design due to lack of individuality and peculiar Shoulder cockpit design. If GSC is interested to explore further on Argento Soma, they still have the options with the Silver Giant and SARG 2. In any case Argento Soma still do have something in store for the viewers as long as they don't judge it as a Mecha series.
