As a collector have you ever curious what happen if Takara toys lineup ever had any crossover which resulted in a High end collector item? Takara recently obliged to humor the idea by presenting Synergenex Shield D Prime! What appears as the hybrid of Transformers Optimus Prime and Zoids Shield Liger is a High End Diaclone product that unifies Three of Takara Tomy popular mecha toy product. Scheduled for February 2026 release, Synergenex Shield D Prime will be sold for 38500 Yen Price tag.
For a price that almost rivals Diaclone products like Big Powered, Shield D Prime is a transformable Shield Liger mecha that comes with Optimus Prime appearance in its humanoid mode. Takara Tomy must be proud in their engineering they designed in Shield D Prime to justify the hefty price tag for this product which does have unique cool transformation gimmick that has never been pulled off until now. If this Synergenex lineup goes well, I am quite sure there will be more Zoids Transformers getting Diaclone treatment with Saber Fang or Geno Saurer being a prime candidate. Who knows that Shield D Prime might also get Blade Liger AB upgrade kit in near future. With the recent Takara Hobby Exhibition, I am quite sure there is a likelihood for these sort of Crossover products like Synergenex will see continuation since we are also getting Optimus Prime crossover with Macross as VF-19 in near future.
