Out of Takara Tomy factory, a truly rare collaboration between Yoji Shinkawa of Kojima Production and Shinji Aramaki bore a very interesting 1/18 Scale Sci-Fi Toy product. Both designers are well known veterans in Mecha design and Altered Nano is the result of the synthesis of these Two mecha veterans mastercraft! Scheduled for November 2025 release, the first of Altered Nano lineup called Alt Frigate and AA-Cavall will be sold for 13000 Yen SRP.
In this new Altered Nano lineup, from the Mechanical designer of MGS series and Zone of Enders; Yoji Shinkawa we get ourselves Alt Frigate, a sleek Mechanical Supersoldier bearing MGS Cyborg Ninja aesthetics. Then from the God of Motorbike Power Armor; Shinji Aramaki, he contribute AA-Cavall, a Mono-wheeled Bike that can transform into Bipedal Walker Mecha similar to Star Wars AT-ST/ 40k Sentinel Walker. In terms of pricing when compared to Joytoy 1/18 lineup, T-Spark Altered Nano still proved its value through its Designer Toys prestige. For those worth stuck long enough in mecha fandom will definitely understand value that this Altered Nanon product tried to convey. Hopefully this won't be one off thing since I would love to see more collab results from Yoji Shinkawa and Shinji Aramaki.
