Mechatalk Final Gear: Margaret - Holy Vow

37th Final Gear Mechatalk is here and the series will keep maintain on its course until the destination reached! While it will take another 2 weeks for me to get another UR Pilot Upgrade, we can still have more characters with important backstory to be discussed for the time being. This time the Final Gear Mechatalk will feature the Former Kegha Guardian Knight Captain, Margaret! Kinda regret that I am unable to give proper attention that Margaret deserves, at very least she will have a Mechatalk Article dedicated for her.

Another proud Noblelady Knight raised from one of Kegha's Aristocrat family. Growing up with proper sense of Justice, Margaret grew up to be exemplary paragon of a Knight and at the tender age of 20 Years old, she was chosen to be Queen Lilian personal Royal Guard Captain. While Taysia and Aya served as Queen's personal Bodyguard, It was Margaret who is tasked to lead the Queen's personal elite soldiers. Leading through the front head on with her Warhammer, Margaret is the personification of Chivalry in Kegha and because of this virtue, there were some nobles that conspired to bring Margaret into her downfall. As a result of the conspiracy, Margaret was branded as traitor and need to fight for her life to get out of the whole mess. In the end, her struggle lead her to join the Blackark Mercenary group as the latter played a role for Margaret escaped from this messy conspiracy.

In Final Gear, Margaret is a SR Defender class piloting a unit called Holy Vow which is yet another creation of Dr Rinbell. This unit boast very High Offensive and Defensive capability and sport much bigger compared to Kegha's Heavy Knight units which already have quite massive frames. In her escape as Kegha Empire's Fugitive, Margaret still use this unit in modified version until she exact her vengeance on those who wronged her.

Just like Coreleah, Margaret was another of the once a devout follower of Queen Lilian that out of unfortunate circumstances has to part ways with her patron. Regardless just like Coreleah, Margaret most likely bore no ill will against her Queen despite bent on seeking vengeance with the corrupt noble that wronged her. Some prominent members of Kegha Military like Eloise do also symphatize on what happen with Margaret but cannot help in meaningful way at the time due to the influence of the conspirators.

In Final Gear being one of the member of the Protagonist team, Margaret is given quite generous treatment by the Dev, second only to Evelyn as she comes with assortment of Skins and got one palette Swap for her Holy Vow unit that bears darker color scheme befitting her quest for Vengeance in her story.

Margaret is the only character other than Evelynn who got her own Event Quest in which the players able to craft her Custom Mech which I did get her +4 Substats from this mode even though I didn't get to raise it to SSR.

Margaret's event story retells the series of event which lead up to her end up being branded as Traitor by Kegha Empire. Through the help of former Keghan Knight, Favia, Margaret discovered some very inconvenient truth of her Empire as some corrupt nobles practice some Dark ritual which sacrificed the Empire's subject and soldiers in very sinister manner as most of them are killed by impalements. Upon finding the truth, the corrupt Nobles soon arrange accidents which killed Margaret's subordinates and framed her as the culprit which made Margaret fought tooth and nail to escape safely. It was through some contacts that Blackark able to save Margaret and helped her prepare to find the main conspirators which was some corrupt Duke that have shady dealings. Long story short Margaret exacted her Vengeance and bid farewell to her homeland and lead a Mercenary life with Blackark.

In Final Gear, Margaret is one of the Defender class pilot who is capable of bringing some DPS cut above her class. While the damage is laughable by the last iteration standard, Margaret had some means to put some serious damage against Boss enemy. Margaret is also one of the few Pilot that have built-in Auto Revive skill without resorting to Troubleshooter Chip and she doesn't need UR Upgrade for it. Apparently Margaret also have some minor healing capability though I haven't been able to put it into good use for the duration when she was still used in my Party.

Being part of the Main Protagonist team, Margaret do get her UR Upgrade that comes with pretty good skill on first glance. Margaret UR grants her some more survivability befitting for a Defender class with Extra Shields based on her base HP. But the best deal of her UR skill is that she is able to Stun the enemy with her standard attacks on 50% Chance which would appear to be great combo with Nia as you can stunlock enemies on paralel row while letting your DPS deal the killing blow.

If I had the resources, I would have considered to raise Margaret into UR once I finished with Aita but given the Final Gear global server is closing by early May, I doubt this will happen as the resources simply insufficient to make it unless the Dev ever bothered to release some more stimulus.

Aesthetic choices aside, Margaret is another of the Final Gear waifu who had somewhat normal if lackluster oath interaction. For some reason Margaret still kept her Warhammer at her side even in the wedding scene. Even so, among the Protagonist team waifus, Margaret's Oath skin do look the best after all because her biggest contender Rebeyrca didn't have one.

Overall Margaret is a decent waifu choice in Final Gear that could prove her worth if the players are able to give some attention to her despite having some very serious competitors from the Top Tier waifus just like the ones covered previously in Final Gear Mechatalk. While I might not be able to get her reach to UR, at very least Margaret still have her own Mechatalk article. For the 38th Final Gear Mechatalk, I will consider to work on Favia which played a significant part in Margaret's storyline as well as the main story.
